Superb points, superbly made in response to Brian 'Pillock'

Completely agree!

Like all men who know what's best for women, Brian is the real victim here!

I’m sobbing to the violin playing, poor Brian.

It's not Brian's fault he knows what's best for women!

I’m so grateful for men like Brian.

Not as much as me. At this rate men are going to remain largely in charge. Well done us!

Thank you Lachlan Stuart for putting it so succinctly. Thank you Graham for sharing this.

The last 20 years?!?!? 😂😂😂😂

Sure, Brian, pull the other one. The men we're talking about decided about 5 minutes after being arrested that they were "trans".

They should be made to have the full op before they are believed. See how many go though with that one. I know it may still happen after an operation but that would still remove the majority of those sex pests

With the exception of the small number of people with DSDs I'm not sure people should be allowed to legally change their sex even if they voluntarily undergo physical castration or oophorectomy.

Expand full comment

Having said that I'm now wondering how often non DSD babies are mistakenly recorded as the wrong sex across the world and what administrative paths are available to correct that.

Now I'm imagining a Brazil (the film) style dystopia where being assigned the wrong sex at birth leads to a lifetime of extra hardship because the bureaucracy refuses to accept the error and getting a GRA is impossible because you can't undergo the appropriate surgeries because you already have the appropriate sex organs for the sex you wish to transition into...

That's not what I meant but at least an operation would remove one offending weapon while those creeps are housed with vulnerable women

Well I don’t know anything about Lachlan Stewart but he can certainly make a clear argument. Thank you Lachlan.

He's been tweeting GC stuff for a few years. He's an ex-advisor to the Labour Party.

Shame he is not advising them now.

I tweeted on BP's timeline "men cannot become women!" …. so was that my reason for suspension?

I have written as follows: "I'm sorry but any man who thinks that he is a woman is deluded: GD is a "disorder" (S25 GRA). He cannot change sex now or ever. Putting a man into a woman prisoner's cell is torture - cruel and unnatural punishment to the women. Block me if you like, but I am saying the truth."

Brian Paddick is a man. He has NO IDEA what it is to be a woman, but he should have a very good idea of how way too many men hurt/harm and murder way too many women. I'm so very, very tired of dimwitted males giving away the rights of women, stealing our protection, privacy and safety. Do these men have no mothers/daughters/sisters/grannies, or, do they hate ALL the women they know? Obviously he LOVES himself: https://twitter.com/brianpaddick/status/1019886231147175936

Dimwitted is the word. Also smug.

Also vain

Yes! Utterly self-regarding.

Thank you Lachlan Stuart. You have been a friend to women over this issue. Great thread. Paddick though eh? Pfft.

Thank you Lachlan. His 'end of story' tweet said it all. He just doesn't care about the women and obviously has his own agenda.

Indeed he does, on behalf of his LibDem party, which is part funded by Ferring Pharmaceuticals, who just happen to market a drug that has the effect of blocking puberty.

This 'organised attack' nonsense. Diddums Brian. Lots of people realised AT THE SAME TIME, RIGHT AFTER YOU SAID IT, what a tool you are.

Only a moron would be puzzled by that well-argued amendment. Lord Blencathra gave an especially clear speech, covering all bases and devoid of any unnecessary caveats.

Why a bunch of ermine wearing assholes could not see the humane commonsense of this amendment makes me so angry.

"Specially segregated facilities would be demeaning"

I do wonder what he thinks happens when a male bodied prisoner is housed in a women's prison, everyone will bond over their joint femininity and spend their days brushing each others hair? Some of this seems to speak to the assumption that female prisons will be kind and supportive unlike male prisons, because they're women.

I just went looking for suicide stats in women's prison, and found this which includes two suicides recorded for transgender women in women's prisons. It would be interesting to compare these numbers normalized by the respective trans populations in prison.

Yes, a predator feels 'demeaned' by not getting access to his prey

A Lord replied to me, making the very same point about transmen (females) in women's prisons. It would be detrimental to their mental health to not be placed in a men's prison. Does he imagine male prisoners letting a transman join in with their jaunty armwrestling sessions? Does he imagine a female, even one with a beard, would have a jolly old time bonding over football and be safer there than amongst women?

Absolutely agree and excellently put! Boiling angry. They committed crimes and bring put in prison is demeaning. It's supposed to be.

You can't be trusted to be free.

You gave up your freedom by your behaviour.

You shouldn't be allowed in the women's estate at all

I'm glad he's getting a hard time.

Give him some flack and @ him right back!

Have at it

And if women are in prison for not paying their TV license fee or for shoplifting, they should NOT be there. How ridiculous! As my husband said, that's an obvious class bias. But apparently the police and the prosecutors have little to do in the crime-free U.K.
