Sorry, Graham. Why are we going through all this AGAIN? A new consultation feels to me like GAS-LIGHTING by Stonewall, Mermaids, Gendered Intelligence, Trans Media Watch, Alex Drummond (can't remember his group), etc. etc. There are more "Trans" lobbyists than there are days in the year. They are bad losers. We "won" a standstill on the GRA 2004. That was the best we could hope for at the moment, with the firm intention of carrying on the fight to rid ourselves of this logically absurd and insane piece of legislation.
Can't we just say: "Ya! Boo! Sucks. You lost!" ? It is that level of childishness.
Yes, interesting, isn't it?? But I suspect naughty Mr Butterworth is rather spinning this story to suit his own agenda. As I understand it, Pride wasn't specifically mentioned in the edict from Tim Davie. The "ban" is more general & BBC staff will be prevented from attending "public demonstrations or gatherings about controversial issues".
Am I alone in finding myself wondering precisely what it is that old "Gaspy" Butterworth actually gets out of being such the staunchest Uber-Ally of them all?

By the way did you see this in the i-news: https://inews.co.uk/news/media/bbc-staff-suspended-attend-lgbt-pride-events-ban-new-impartiality-rules-742247
I nearly fell off my chair.

The Great Gasby
Of course, LOL! Brilliant x
I meant The Great Gaspy! But I'm glad you knew what I intended to type! 😁
yeah, see JL's latest post!
They're doubling-down. Well ... two can play at that game. Shall we say it louder?
Yes, I rather think that we should! It's incredibly sneaky.
Women said no. No means no. I am unsurprised that these men and their handmaidens refuse to accept that.
We'll just have to ensure we win the second round, Alice.
