Did he get any questions on foxes? Yes, I saw that Mermaids are selling T-Towels. The jokes write themselves!

Expand full comment

Haha I didn't watch all of it 🦊 sadly he won.

T towels... To imagine that one of them thought that and it wasn't just laughed off as a [sick] JOKE!

But there's a lot of ridiculous things they should just have laughed off and not acted on!

FFS! What will it be next? Moley's Mermaid's shredders will be on sale in their shop next... they'll think it's a fab idea!

Hey, at least he finally knows what it's like to win something. 😄

Oh not sure if it was a repeat! It is the BBC so probably!

Haha! I was annoyed with myself for not recognising Al Green. Didn't stop me judging him though 😂😂

Men: * do a thing *

Women: can we join in?

Men: NO. MEN ONLY.

* repeat for millennia *

Women: * do a thing for women *

Men: LET US JOIN IN TOO. BIGOTS. TRANSPHOBES.

Because I am a bit sad I am joined a retro TV Facebook group ( Basically lots of 'do you remember bullseye'? type of content).

Father Ted came up and I was expected a least a few comments to be critical of a certain writer's stance on women's rights from the genderwang brigade.

Not a single one of the hundreds of comments. Lots of quotations of lines and Fr Jack GIFS but not a single negative comment. Normal people with a wide range of interests do not give a flying fuck about the trans issue and just want to have a big old laugh with the lads.

Fund that musical now!!

I think you're right. The vast majority of people either don't know or don't care. The reason so much of the framework for implementation of queer policies was done in stealth was so that the public would hopefully be groomed slowly into believing the lies and hyperbole surrounding "most marginalized".

The thing with Kellie-Jay is she is consistent with her message and gives no quarter.

She doesn't tie herself up in knots with contrived speech that the mammalian brain knows to be nonsense.

She is campaigning purely for women and girls privacy and safety.

A gobby wife and mother of 4 kids who shames most with her bravery.

She’s sees it clearly. “It’s a complicated issue” No! It’s simple! If I’m eating a sandwich and you take it from me, it’s not complicated and letting me keep 1/2 isn’t a compromise. That’s men in women’s sports, bathrooms and detention. The issue of stunting kids’ growth and sterilizing them: also not complicated.

Nice one JK Rowling

Love the post from Kelly Jay Keen. Young women have no idea how easily the rights it took us years to get can be removed. They need to open their eyes. As for the Beira Centre, I ❤️ JKR. Laura Miller on BBC’s Reporting Scotland did a short report on this new rape crisis centre tonight and omitted the main aspect of it, that it’s only for biological women. Clearly nicolasturgeondestroyerofwomensrights must have had a word with the BBC!

Most miss the point with the Beira Centre.

It is Not a 'new' service is it? The real truth is, it's a re-launch of the 'original' women only service which women set up exclusively for women back in the 70's. (Back then staffed with only volunteers) .Tragic that the clock has been wound back 50 years and we're starting again.

To JK - Thank you, thank you, thank you. I stand in complete awe.

Yep. As has been said before, 100 years on but same old crap. 💚🤍💜

Steven Fry. What a disappointment.

But J.K. Rowling: what an amazing thing to have done for women.

I tried to watch a video of Fry performing in NYC, and I couldn't believe he trotted out that tired old urban myth of the immigrant to the U.S. swooning over American grocery stores. Why anyone would swoon over buildings filled to the rafters with palm oil, high-fructose corn syrup, and various chemicals packaged to look like food is beyond me. (And of course no immigrant does; they go looking for little ethnic grocery stores.)

Wow! The University of Pennsylvania, training groomers and encouraging men to compete against women. Lia Thomas was a student there, of course.

I always thought Stephen Fry was overrated. He's probably a decent actor but does not have a funny bone in him. He's always the weakest guest on I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

JKR and KJK - two exceptional women. What more can I say?

Surely when KJK starts the hustings people will have to concede that biology is real. And identity is really just a individual snap shot of how someone sees themselves at a given point in their life. Literally could change on a daily bases.

I don’t think its healthy to have an ‘identity’ anyway. When we grew up no one had an identity, we all just got on with it. It was a concept that i wasn’t burdened with thank goodness. Basically too much self analysis is really not a good idea for a lot of people, certainly not for me anyway. Like opening a can of f-ing worms- no thanks.

Yes! This is the way to do it. Women's and girls' only services. That's how it all started after the Suffragettes: women did their own thing. It is what we must do again. Set up a proper women's party that politiks for biological females. Too often, policies that affect females adversely and are not properly scrutinised are passed. We are not even an afterthought. We just do not count. The Yogyakarta Principles were passed and were introduced into many countries' laws without even as much as an acknowledgement that females, into whose spaces, rights, services, jobs, etc., deluded and dangerous men were to be parachuted, might be affected. When are we going to start getting really tough with these parasitical men and their men's rights activist 'trans' warriors and their simpering, utterly stupid handmaidens? Turkeys and Christmas springs to mind in relation to the latter. It is time that the political parties started to get women's voices seriously or they will find their votes melting away. It is also time that men, as a sex class, took these subsets of men into their responsibility. They have nothing whatsoever to do with biological women, and are not our problem. They are MEN.

Yay JK and yay KJ for these two brilliantly brave, bold and game-changing initiatives. I think you are both going to make NZ's Labour PM, Jacinda Ardern, very nervous indeed - vote and fund-raise for her as I once energetically did.
