You know what to do That Elaine Miller video again I’m going to keep reposting this until I feel I should stop. Have you watched it? You should. Have you shared it? You should. Manchester police are calling women TERFs now In other words, when women are meeting to discuss their rights, they cannot trust Manchester police to protect them from, once again, a group of demanding, privileged white people.
"The female campaigner tried to tell me that she had done some sort of course and that I couldn't define a woman the way I was trying to."
God help me but that made me laugh. I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that course wasn't a GCSE in biology.
These campaigners (and Keir Starmer) insult half the voters (and plenty in the other half), then they'll wander into the next election and lose. Then they'll blame people like that woman on the doorstep for not doing the course on What You're Allowed To Say What A Woman Is.
Considering that it has been found that college graduates are far more likely to follow orders, however absurd, than non-college graduates, it says something about our so-called higher education.
Saw this in today's Times: Meanwhile, one correspondent insisted that the definition of a lecture was that it was “a process by which the notes of the professor become the notes of the student, without passing through the minds of either”
It reflects the attitude the police in general have towards women. So they're going to take any opportunity to express their misogyny while at the same time looking 'good' and inclusive, etc.
Yes but what is the point of highlighting something from 2018 as if they've only just tweeted it? The focus needs to be on their actions and words from now.
Yes, I agree, if it isn't current there's not much point and it isn't helpful. I'm just referring to the way the police perceive and treat woman too much of the time.
"In short, FerouciouslySteph is a non-cis furry that actively wants to tear down the established systems in the gaming community that historically benefit white men."
I think that sentence clunker was someone trying to avoid writing "trans furry" because that could be a whole other kind of crazy. There are furries who undergo plastic surgery, don't google it!
I forgot to say Graham - someone thought I was you on twitter last week. Said evading a ban was a serious business (if I remember correctly) I ignored them and nothing has come of it so far. 🤔
Great cover pic - really illustrates the hatred and aggression these men who aren't women (but get off on thinking about being us) have for women. Also clearly shows how they look nothing like us. That main one's had a bit of a twatting with the ugly stick - no wonder he's furious when his looks are the focus of his fetish.
I agree. Think ‘white male privilege’ is a cancerous slogan. It’s partly why we’re in this mess in the first place. Also there’s plenty of white working class people who’ve been demeaned, dismissed and ignored by some culture because ‘white privilege’ like they’re somehow more privileged than the BBC diversity officer June Sarpong who’s on £250k a year because of their skin colour?
Why do you say she earns that *because of* her colour? Presumably that is the salary the post attracts and she was the best candidate for the post. Also, why say "their"? I'm sorry but you come across as a racist misogynist.
My point is that she’s in a very privileged position financially compared to the working class man or woman stacking shelves at supermarket. Skin colour irrelevant
All good, it was not my intention to come across as what you were accusing me of.
I do however take objection to Glinner saying this gender woo stuff is a ‘white male privilege’ issue when it’s not exclusively that whatsoever. I think demeaning anyone because of their skin colour or sex is racist and sexist regardless of the race or sex. It was no MLKs dream at all.
I see your point. However it is clear from photographs of TRA protests that the overwhelming majority are white, and most are male. The people they oppose - eg women who object to males' presence in public bathrooms for cultural or religious reasons, women who have suffered FGM, or have broken free from sex work, or who've had a mastectomy or hysterectomy for health reasons, seeing their experiences minimised and hijacked - those women are often poor and from a minority ethnic background.
And like many people I cannot abide references to King's I have a dream speech. The only fucking speech he made that the white power establishment loves to hear over and over again. Far more important were his efforts to bring poor black and poor white people together to face down this vicious, violent government, and for that he was murdered by the same government.
However I do agree that people should not be dismissed/demeaned on the basis of their race, class or sex. White, working-class boys have been shockingly ignored in the education system, for example.
Let's look at our newest possible Supreme Court nominee. Do you think the color of her skin has nothing to do with her possible nomination? Our systems are always on the lookout for women, people of color, and, even better, women of color!, to service an exploitative and inhumane system. Because then we can point to X and say, "See, we're not racist! We're not sexist!" as we continue the very same behavior patterns of past centuries.
Conversely, black people (more than women) are expected to behave like victims and if they stand up for themselves, think independently, refuse to accept the victimhood narrative, they are criticised. Witness the treatment of Trevor Phillips, Tony Sewell etc.
Elaine Miller - where's she been? She's absolutely hilarious with great comic timing!
Of course TV - esp. BBC - hates British funny women, with a select few who are permitted to be recognised as funny, namely those who have sadly died (Wood and Aherne) and French & Saunders.
A few who have made it through the shows like Mock The Week (acknowledged to have made selective cuts to disfavour women earlier in the shows. I watched it from the outset and would wince with the dismissive attitudes to the women - the worst being the show's host Dara O Briain. Isn't he one who reckons "Trans Women Are Women"? That would figure.) No threat to the mens I guess.
Didn't Ugly Lizzard win an award for being the funniest female comedian? He's not even funny! laughable maybe.
Oh thanks for the link to Elaine Miller's website. She's marvellous.
Dara O'Briain is a dick who talks about going to lap dancing clubs, denies biology and presides over a bunch of privileged mostly Oxbridge alumni who make jokes about people called Charmaine, people who shop at Greggs and Lidl, and travellers on the Megabus.
"A transwoman who identifies as a deer..." Wait, how can you be both a woman AND a deer? Wouldn't that make you a "doe"? And doesn't this mean that we can shoot FerociouslySteph, dress him out in the basement, and enjoy him as venison? (Only during deer season, of course!)
Disagree with you about this being a ‘white male privilege’ movement. It’s a very middle class and male fetish privilege movement yes, but I don’t agree it’s exclusively white at all.
"The female campaigner tried to tell me that she had done some sort of course and that I couldn't define a woman the way I was trying to."
God help me but that made me laugh. I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that course wasn't a GCSE in biology.

In my day you went on a course to become a bit cleverer, not stupider.
Hahahaha!
And as the course actually makes no sense, you can't remember any of it afterwards.
That's not Ben Cooper QC's account but it is a GC Ben Cooper 😊
That tweet from GMP is appalling, but to clarify, it was from October 2018 (or appears to be, as noted by several ppl on the current thread).
It reflects the attitude the police in general have towards women. So they're going to take any opportunity to express their misogyny while at the same time looking 'good' and inclusive, etc.

I read the article:
"In short, FerouciouslySteph is a non-cis furry that actively wants to tear down the established systems in the gaming community that historically benefit white men."
Steph is white and male.
And what is the "benefit" of gaming anyway? Grooming opportunities?
The benefit is destroying whatever brain cells you have left.
Haha :) Mind you I do have a son who's a gamer. Hopefully he'll retain a few...
Non-cis! No, man, male, bloke, dick, everything but woman. Cis as a sex defining characterist does not exist.
(No reflexion on you Tea-Rex, simply commenting on the quote.)
I think that sentence clunker was someone trying to avoid writing "trans furry" because that could be a whole other kind of crazy. There are furries who undergo plastic surgery, don't google it!
Duly warned ...
No link to Emily Bateman's crowdfunder under yesterday's 'Mess' - thousands of potential donors missed?
Oops! Nearly 8 thousand views so far! For anyone reading this, here it is:

What does the race of trans folks have to do with anything?

I’m not those things.
My point is that she’s in a very privileged position financially compared to the working class man or woman stacking shelves at supermarket. Skin colour irrelevant
Ok, I'm sorry, I did not intend to accuse you of being anything - merely how your words came across to me.
All good, it was not my intention to come across as what you were accusing me of.

It's not white male privilege, exactly, it's white males grabbing more privilege.

We agree there, but do not call me a racist misogynist again.

This is not something I'm familiar with.
Ask the author of the quote that.
Sorry - I don't get your point.
Great guidance on what to say to canvassers in the local elections!
I hope JK Rowling will go after the Guardian now. They keep going on about her transphobic tweets.

Elaine has her own website anyway: www.gussetgrippers.co.uk

lol Ugly Lizzard! He should win an award not for telling the funniest jokes, but for BEING the funniest joke.
Elaine is another fantastic, informed, eloquent, funny,Scottish woman - love her. Thanks for sharing.
Trans rights activists are privileged white people with weird-colored hair.
Watched Elaine Miller for first time. What a woman! I’ve shared it far and wide. (Well the UK and in Kuwait where I’m working)
D’oh, a deer, a female deer....
Ray, a gender neutral name,
Me, a game, I call myself,
Far, a long way from home,
Sew a stitch-up for all time,
La, te-da-te-da-te-dah...
‘T’, a hormone for a man,
That will bring us back to
So-and-so-and.......
Nice!
It's all 'game' in the end...

It wasn't Tea-Rex that said that but the author of the article.
