Thank you for taking the time to email with your concerns regarding the Gender Recognition Reform Bill. I voted against this Bill at stage 1. I put forward a list of amendments for stage 2 that were all rejected and I am highlighting all the issues I can through the forms of media open to me. I have many concerns regarding the unintended consequences of this Bill, I believe it to be very damaging and it puts the safety of women and girls at risk. I will not be voting for it unless the Bill is drastically amended to address these factors for stage 3.
I am also concerned at the speed applied to progressing this Bill through parliament. The timeframe to properly scrutinise the amendments at each stage is compromised and I fear we are making Bad Law as a consequence.
As a party we put forward over 100 amendments after the Bill passed stage 1 to improve the issues round Women’s safety this bill creates but unfortunately they were not adopted. I can assure you I will keep trying to make sure the voices of innocent women and children are heard as I agree wholeheartedly that If this bill goes ahead it will most definitely endanger them.
Two of my MSPs are Humza Youssef and Patrick Harvie and the rest are just useless. I feel very sorry for myself. I’ve written often to them and either got no reply or a stock letter from Youssef. I am not represented so why are these people getting paid.

The Washington Post recently had an article about the cover up of Loudon county rapist case, and it totally ignored that he identified as trans, used male pronouns and just basically gaslit its readers about the whole thing. Suddenly the commenters were outraged a school board superintendent covered up sexual assaults, and the few commenters pointing out that the boy id’d as a girl were called lying bigots. I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
WaPo is a government-funded organization ($600 million contract with the CIA). They peddle what is expected of them and to put it succinctly, they are a filthy rag.
