That is a work of art. Just the truth, beautifully-articulated.

I'm sure there's a special place in the cult's hell for people like this. Way too embedded in reality, fair-mindedness, honesty, integrity and intelligence . Excellent.

Succinct, satisfying, thorough -- this video is everything. Whoever this is, you can tell they have completely immersed themselves in the hell of 'gender' propaganda because what we have here is distilled, on-point genius, surgically unpacking all the cult shite in just a few shining moments. Bravo? Brava? Whatever -- no one could have said it better.

This video says everything that's constantly kicking around inside my head. I loved hearing it delivered so perfectly.

This is brilliant. Saying what I've been trying to say to folk only a million times better!

I tried Bells again recently and it tastes very antisepticy like all the peaty ones and I don't remember it ever tasting like that before. I'll stick with Monkey Shoulder.

Truly funny! Do you think that man in the clown suit is an old-school “transsexual?” That’s the clear impression I got. Thanks for posting this link!

I know how this person feels. It's the same in the civil service. There are even some in HR who have this site (below) in their signature block so they are not just sharing their pronouns, HR is actively applying promoting it:

Oh ffs, really? These nauseating entitled, privileged narcissistic pricks are long overdue for being submerged in their own bullshit.

I'll have to take a look through those new Twitter reporting forms. The TRAs are now targeting Twitter

to ban the word Groomer, after Reddit introduced the policy.

*yes, the vile porn site that pretends to be a legitimate social media enterprise.

Big up Graham! In What's In A Name what Chappelle said equally applies to him: "It takes a strong person to stand out in the cold ..."

AOC even went so far as to claim that holding her hands behind her back is a necessary "safety" move to avoid being falsely charged with resisting arrest and assaulted by the arresting officer. Perhaps she can identify the occasion that a member of Congress was assaulted in such a fashion when the cameras that were summoned by the MoC were rolling in the past. Performative progressives are the worst progressives.

Amen.

I liked the point made in the Unherd article that woke progressivism is as Graham says about AOC a luxury belief. It is an elitist ideology, crafted by elites, pushed by elites, funded by elites. It has little to do with most of us because we spend our lives functioning rather than posturing.

Great interview with Christina Ellingsen, Graham. Thank you so much to you, Helen, Arty and the rest of The Mess team for shining a light on what's been happening in Norway.

Re the AAP article. Cantor references Adelson & AACAP, 2012: Where prepubescent boys are gender dysphoric "cross gender wishes usually fade over time and do not persist into adulthood" and where dysphoria presents during adolescence, "this desire usually does persist through adulthood".

So there you go. The gender identity religion needs to brainwash children through adolescence to create and retain their cult members.

We can thank the AAP for being part of the new religion. On your knees kids.

Or a political movement. Lenin is reputed to have said:

"Give me a child for the first 5 years of his life and he will be mine forever."

https://www.quotetab.com/quote/by-vladimir-lenin/give-me-a-child-for-the-first-5-years-of-his-life-and-he-will-be-mine-forever

Though Ignatius Loyola or the Catholic Church itself is reputed to have said pretty much the same thing. But you might be interested in or amused by another quote of Loyola - courtesy of Wikipedia ... 😉 - which may have some relevance to that "religion of gendered souls":

"Rule 13 of Ignatius' Rules for Thinking with the Church said: '"That we may be altogether of the same mind and in conformity[...], if [the Church] shall have defined anything to be black which to our eyes appears to be white, we ought in like manner to pronounce it to be black.' ...."

Somewhat amused to note that Wikipedia, in a bit of "historical revisionism" of their own, has removed that rather unflattering passage in their latest version; quote is from the September 2017 version (below):

I checked my Samuel Johnson

"A she; one of the sex that brings young."

I guess he'll now be cancelled.

Expand full comment

Johnson's Dictionary Online has "Not masculine; belonging to a she"...most dictionaries are circular, though. A notable exception:

https://learnthesewordsfirst.com/

Based on the work of Anna Wierzbicka, whose program of Natural Semantic Metalanguage has established not only that "woman" and "man" are conceptualized universally in terms of two body types, but that "woman" is the more fundamental i.e. the two types of adult worldwide are essentially "woman" and "non-woman".

That's the adjective definition rather than the noun.

I have an abridged paper copy, it may not be the most up to date but it's by far my favourite dictionary for its quirks and history.

Graham: "Penny Mordaunt is out! You won’t regret it, Conservative Party!"

Probably good news if that's the case, though don't see anything to that effect on a Google search or on her Twitter.

Graham: "Circular definition ends up in a dictionary"

Indeed. Though the circularity doesn't really show up until you look at the definition for male. Canada's Rebel News had a story on that which I had commented on last night, though they were apparently "not amused" by the content or the phrasing since they deleted it not long after I posted it, to wit:

"Merriam-Webster: 'female: having a gender identity that is the opposite of male.'

And if you look at their definition for 'male' it says this:

"male: having a gender identity that is the opposite of female."

What a bunch of cretins; 'Circular definitions R Us'. ..."

https://www.rebelnews.com/merriam_webster_dictionary_redefines_female_as_a_gender_identity

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/male

But I see that Merriam-Webster has a contact form to comment on or question a particular definition - which I may do though others may wish to do likewise:

https://www.merriam-webster.com/contact-us

The problem with both "gender identity" definitions is that they don't say what property it is that individuals must possess to qualify as having a "male gender identity" or a "female gender identity". It's all subjective - why the whole concept of "self-identification" has to qualify as the most cretinous and incoherent "idea" to have come down the pike in a very long time. Philosopher Michael Robillard summarized that problem rather succinctly:

"The second source and primary culprit of confusion within the present transgender debate, however, is the notion of 'gender identity.' This is so since 'gender identity,' on the gender theorist’s own account, is defined entirely by one’s own wholly subjective determination."

https://michaelrobillard.substack.com/p/the-incoherence-of-gender-ideology

But while the "definitions" for male and female as "gender identities" are entirely subjective, are not at all linked to or based on any objectively quantifiable traits, that is not at all the case with the terms defined as sexes since the definitions stipulate that having functional gonads is what is required to qualify as males (sex) and as females (sex):

"male (adjective) 1) of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to produce relatively small, usually motile gametes which fertilize the eggs of a female"

By which if transwomen cut their nuts off then they no longer qualify as males (sex); they're then sexless eunuchs.

But the corruption of language has to qualify as one of the major items on a bill of particulars listing the "crimes" of transactivists. Now we have to qualify each and every use of those terms, including "man" and "woman" - e.g., "female (sex)", "female (gender)", "man (adult human male (sex))", "man (adult human male (gender or gender identity))", etc.
