I am glad Rivers has been convicted. I am sad to know that California will now immediately place him in a position to abuse more women.

Oh those heroic ‘trans’ warriors who have fought and fallen. Too bad they couldn’t have helped out on the D-day beaches. Guess their heels and dresses might have tripped them up. Maybe that’s why, in spite of them being around for thousands of years (an Izzard claim), we didn’t see many ‘transwomen’ storming the Nazi enemy.

Genevieve Gluck — I bow down to this woman. So deep in the malevolent dark trenches, she has to contend with a real psychological toll. What an adult human female!

Genevieve makes such a good point -- we don't know what kind of pornography lawmakers and policy makers are watching. Just look at that Twitter 'moderator'. What the hell has made him think he's a woman? His porn-impelled delusion has wiped out most of the 'gender' critical voices on the platform he 'immoderates'. Pornography is a blight on civil society. Please listen to her interview -- it's excellent.

I dont know how she does it but I'm so glad that we have her in this fight, she is an amazing woman

How many "truly" Intersex people does Stephen Fry even know? How many diagnosed intersex people are amongst his friendship group? So tedious!

Thanks, Graham, for continuing to jam the media blackout of the brutal murder of a black lesbian couple & their adopted son from Africa by a white trans-identifying male, Dana Rivers, and Rivers's recent conviction (3 cts 1st degree murder, 1 ct felony arson).

This case sticks a stake in the heart of supposedly "progressive" / woke intersectionalism. Seems that black lives ( and especially those of black lesbians and their families) DON'T matter if the reputation of a prominent white trans-identifying male, as well as the "trans people are the most victimey-victims ever" narrative, are threatened.

Oh the Emperor has clothes alright. Red sparkly gowns to win ‘beauty’ contests. Hi-cut bathing suits to win swimming races. Frilly wee dresses for ‘age play’. Furry costumes for god-knows-what. Toddler overalls for displaying a shocking level of immaturity. Yes, the Emperors have clothes alright. Fetishistic clothes. And wigs. And breast prostheses. And loads of makeup. And high-heeled shoes. And tiaras of all things. And jewellery. And full-skirted white wedding dresses with veils. (look it up — they’re ubiquitous.) I much prefer the original nude Emperor — what you see is what you get. At least he’s not pretending to be a woman.

So many interesting details! Melissa Ingle, unlike my ex-husband in woman-face, says he's transgender "parent" instead of mother. This is one reason women stay in these marriages when there are children, sacrificing one's own sexuality for the husband's narcissism. But, she thinks, "At least I'm here, monitoring who is called mother."

When I commented under Kellie Jay Keen's Cardiff video yesterday, mentioning my status as a trans widow, a troll replied, accusing me of being such a "failure as a woman" that I could not even keep my husband. This sexist, misogynist, vulgar attitude is common in their ranks. Keep exposing the woo, Graham! And once again, the link to my short 50 second youtube short, for discussions with your woke relatives at the holidays:

What a gobshite Ash Sarkar is, her tweets are like satire.

She's doing her best to ruin left-wing organising in Britain. Undermining actual trade union leaders, women's rights, gay rights and disability rights campaigners, generally being a complete neoliberal melt and then having the gall to say "I'm literally a communist". It astounds me that it seems to go unchallenged. I suppose these baizuos "identify as" communists...

I do get some smug satisfaction from the fact that I have a KeyWiki page and she doesn't, and therefore the far right loons consider me more of a red menace than the "literally a communist".

Stephen Fry, what a disappointment

Expand full comment

I suppose, but I didn't expect any better from him really.

Expand full comment

True. I had hoped he'd stick to his science guns. Hard to believe the cognitive dissonance in someone so clever. Oh well, fuck off Stephen!

The real shame here is that people will believe him. He's supposedly some kind of national treasure, a genius. His opinion holds weight, unfortunately.

The national treasure stuff is crap, he's a tiresome, arrogant pain in the arse. He's well educated and articulate but has been passed off as a polymath, which he definitely isn't. He is given opportunities and takes them.

Yes, that's exactly what he should do.

I certainly did, at least given his earlier comment about being "offended":

"It's now very common to hear people say, I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what?"

Methinks that Fry should be telling his transwomen "friends" to "grow a pair" instead of trying to cut them off ...

Transwomen are no more than guys in drag, male transvestites - at least if they still have their nuts in working order, and sexless eunuchs if they don't.

Truth in advertising, time to call a spade a fucking shovel.

On that Tweet from Ash Sarkar. There are also gay men who date, marry, and have children with straight women. This often (usually) occurs because the gay man is in denial, or too afraid to be honest, about their sexual orientation (for understandable reasons), but the gay community doesn't applaud those situations and had worked hard for decades to change the culture so that those situations didn't happen anymore. That gay people can be pressured into dating people they aren't attracted to for fear of social consequence isn't new.

The other interpretation of that tweet is that the lesbian in question has only ever dated penis havers and only found out she was a lesbian when her boyfriend announced he was a she...

The fellow who earned a living through banning Twitter users for wrongthink – oops, 'moderated content' – got to call himself a 'Senior Data Scientist'?

Expand full comment

Tbf in tech you get a lot of titles like that that sound fancier than they really are. My second job after graduating had a similar title, it kept changing though, they couldn't decide if we were "senior data scientists" or "senior risk engineers" or "decision science analysts" or what. The job didn't change, I was just a fairly low grade statistician the entire time, but they love their fancy job titles in tech. It's cheaper than giving the staff a pay rise or better terms, and the bosses can pretend they're being nice to us by giving us a cool name.

Expand full comment

Thanks for that inside info, and examples of other titles. I'd be interested (not asking you to do it, just that it would be interesting) to hear what each of those jobs really consist of, compared to what they're made to sound like. In what way can someone practising censorship of wrongthink possibly be considered a 'Scientist', and a 'Data Scientist', for example?

I also wonder if pretendy titles seemingly detached from the realities of the job are even more widespread in industries that conjure stuff out of nothing? (Sorry, my non-techie bias is showing ;-) What titles were FTX people given, I wonder?

Expand full comment

Probably very similar, my work is closer to the FTX than Twitter (in that it's also finance but for a bank, so it's very slightly more reliable). I was doing risk analytics, building statistical models to predict how much capital to hold, that kind of thing. I suppose stats is sort of a science, and my background is in maths, but really I'm a desk jockey. The most egregious examples I can think of are words like "executive" or "manager" in the titles of jobs that have nothing to do with either. Also "engineer", my boyfriend who's an actual electrical engineer gets pissed off with everybody being called some kind of engineers these days.

I think the pretendy titles is the doing of management wonks and HR people, you know the sort. The exact same people who love all the gender woo buzzwords and shibboleths and impose them on the rest of us. They love a ridiculous title and assume everyone else does, too. IDGAF, I just want to use a computer system that works and to get paid.

I love this, thank you. Will remember 'desk jockey'. Shout out to your actual engineer boyfriend, and enjoy your work and pay, whatever others might label you!

Joanne Harris seems utterly unfit for purpose, but I would still be very very careful about Tim Tate, who, if I understand aright, was one of the primary promulgators of the Satanic Ritual Abuse panic in the UK (through his sensational and apparently libelous book Children for the Devil, and his work on Roger Cook's report "The Devil's Work" in 1989). It would seem that his work with the Society of Authors has been most creditable, but his history suggests that he either he temporarily lost his rational mind and got caught up in a more-than-usually-ridiculous moral panic, or he went along with that panic in order to get readers and viewers. Neither means that his opinions on the current debacle should be dismissed out of hand, but I think it does mean that they should be taken with a great deal of salt. To be honest, I would never appoint him to investigate anything; he may have many talents, but his dogged belief in the existence of widespread (both geographically and temporally) murder and sexual abuse organized by a secret Satanic organization(s) suggests that sifting through facts and interpreting evidence is not among them!

Slightly off topic but I came across this tonight. It isn't a new thread, but it makes my heart sing to see Rachel Rooney getting the support she absolutely deserves against the most horrific bullying and blacklisting. Her book "My Body is Me" is wonderful and moving. I can't wait until she is vindicated.
