Oh you fucking plank.

When people outsource their thinking anything is possible...

I haven't noticed many people who don't outsource their thinking. Oh, sure, they think about this one thing then outsource everything else!

The greens. Now proudly polluting waterways with their hair chemicals.

I'm finding this all very depressing. I'd love to be green (and just today I bought two green pan scourers at a price that would have bought a couple of dozen plastic sponges). Why do people who claim to love the earth hate women so much?......

I'm reading Bright Green Lies and green is pretty much a myth set up for the government to provide enormous subsidies to already wealthy people to build so-called renewables (which do not offset as much energy as they use in their creation). Like my senator!

If you can't define woman!

Chris Rose

@ArchRose90

As a man I’m told that I can get pregnant now so I’m fully entitled to an opinion on abortion.

Liz Wheeler

@Liz_Wheeler

How can overturning Roe v Wade be an assault on women’s rights if you can’t tell us what a woman is?

James Lindsay, couldn't be ratioed

@ConceptualJames

We're about to find out if the Left can pull off knowing and not knowing what a woman is at the same time. It's a test of how strong their doublethink is.

Joan Smith

@polblonde

@StateRepHong

If you can't use the word woman, you're not in any position to defend women's rights.

Another catalogue of inanity and injustice. The potential rollback of abortion choice is especially galling -- the inevitable result of the inability of anyone to know exactly what a woman is any more, even a pregnant one. And then, again predictably inevitable, and again, right on cue -- the parasitic glomming onto anything whatsoever to do with women’s rights. FGM, abortion, period pain, menopause, endometriosis, breastfeeding, pregnancy, anything and everything is potential for “trans” invasion and “trans” takeover.

I have to say, sometimes it DOES feel like we have all died, and this IS hell. A hell no one could have imagined. When people upend one of the fundamental laws of nature -- that humans, or anything really, in the animal and plant kingdom on Planet Earth, cannot change sex -- all manner of hellish consequence is unleashed.

Oh, hell is coming and we're just on the road to get there (I speak of civilizational collapse due to what we are doing to our planet).

Regarding the BBC's Should I Tell You I'm Trans, it's unfeasible that could be considered a legitimate and reasonable question in this context. Withholding that information means the other person would be engaging in sexual behaviour they didn't consent to. Even it that didn't happen, they would be a victim of deception. The person whose business it is, is the one who doesn't know.

Expand full comment

It would be sensible to let people know in advance of the ,er, unveiling. Because most of the very few murders of MTF people are committed by disappointed men they have picked up in bars or on street corners.

Oddly, one of the men behind bars for this very crime has now declared that he is a woman himself, after all..

Yes, it's not only highly deceptive, it's dangerous. A transwoman who lead a lesbian to believe they were biologically female and then disclosed they weren't would be guilty of sexual abuse and assault if there was any intimacy at all. And if the other person was male, it could result in violence or worse, as in the example you've given.

It's as irresponsible and immoral as giving 'advice' to transmen on how to conceal their sex in gay men's saunas, etc. It's obvious that this could end badly, as well as being wrong in every way. Fucked up beyond comprehension.

When Stonewall re-branded a year or so ago, changing the laws on Sex By Deception was one of their stated targets.

Expand full comment

It's up there with removing legal boundaries for adults seeking 'consensual' sexual relationships with minors. This is the kind of stuff that should tell organisations currently paying Stonewall in return for pat on the head and a lollypop, all they need to know about the organisation in its present incarnation.

I liked the hunt. There’s scope for a superior sequel where it’s the ultra woke hunting moderate lefties/centrists/normies. The caricatures of the right weakens it, and you could have a lot of fun with the culture wars and purity spirals on the left.

Loved The Hunt. Didn't really know what to expect going into the cinema, but was VERY surprised by an occurrence within the first few minutes (being surprised by films is something that happens less and less often these days) and I remained gripped for the rest of the film.

These dudes online who threaten women (I'm bigger and stronger, they say) have never apparently heard of firearms.

Expand full comment

Totally! If some TRA thinks he is going to threaten and intimidate me, he's going to be in for a big surprise. I have never in my entire life allowed anyone to threaten me, why would I start now? I've never had to be violent, just exude an intimidation factor far greater than the person(s) threatening me. Like my husband screaming at the crazy man on our street in NYC: "Today I'm crazier than you!" (It worked, he backed off.) And the word "fuck" seems to have incredible power in my little corner of Maine, U.S.A. Rather odd, that.
