How about a big old medal for teacher Enoch Burke? If he sticks to his principles, his case could be huge. Imprisoned for pronoun refusal. How's the public going to react to that?

They/them as a plural pronoun singular is called 'multiple personality disorder'. He's had a warrant for his arrest issued for not normalising someone's mental illness? Reality denial has now become a reality horror movie.

The Jameela Jamil tweets made me laugh. Who actually has the time to deal with this nonsense? Don't these people have anything more pressing to do than argue about preferred pronouns? Answer is... no.

“oh my god you’re literally making it trans people’s fault for being misgendered’.

Well, yeah. Duh.

My mother’s godmother was one of the first women barristers in England. She initially struggled to obtain pupillage (the year of training barristers must complete with established barristers before they can practice themselves), with the men who interviewed her saying that much as they’d like to offer her pupillage they couldn’t because they had no female lavatories. After a few rejections with that line, she obtained pupillage telling the next interviewer that he needn’t worry about the lack of a female lavatory as she was content to use the public facilities on Lincoln’s Inn Fields.

I suppose that was a price worth paying to break the then almost total male domination of the legal profession, but it’s shocking that eighty or so years later women are again being told that there are no facilities for them.

Oh when will they learn trans don't want "equality" they want subservience!

Speak truth and stop apologising for telling it.

I have never seen so many weak and captured people masquerading as "progressive" humans!

The Jamil thing is fantastic.

Although I am unsure what the initialisations GF/NB stand for. Gluten Free/Non Binary perhaps? That would be a new one on me - dietary requirements as a gender identity. I hear it does cause IBS though - Irritating Bullshitter Disorder.

The Tweet exchange is a perfect example of a purity spiral. Nothing one can do or say will ever be sufficient for ideologues such as this - Not even from their own self-appointed idiot hierarchy.

No amount of pleading or prostrating themselves at the feet of the most pure will ever be enough for the supplicants.

The only option is to say - and think - Nothing. Just worship at the Altar of Gender Identity and hope that your prayers for absolution are heeded.

But thankfully, it's not a cult.

The GF probably stands for "Gender Fluid"

(Which is not a euphemism for spunk...)

I might feel a bit more of a pang of sympathy for Jameela Jamil if she hadn't spent years kissing the feet of these people and throwing women and children under the bus at the same time. But it proves once again what we've known about social media for a long time - if you play this game long enough it will eat you. It never stops, you will never satisfy them in the end because the blob keeps moving the goalposts and rewriting the rules.

The DBS check thing is interesting. I have had to have several of them over the years for various jobs, including one where I wasn't even directly working with children. It's a simple and obvious part of safeguarding. If you've got no skeletons in the closet, then you have nothing to worry about. It's not like you even have to personally do anything. Makes one wonder why Nate Higgins has such a problem with it 🤔

Agreed. An enhanced DBS check being done isn’t an accusation of anything. It shows that the safeguarding of children is being taken very seriously. As it should be. Anyone who does any kind of work with any vulnerable group is required to have one. It’s not perfect- my abuser would have passed any enhanced DBS as he had no convictions- but it’s an integral part of safeguarding best practice. I say this as a primary school teacher of around 26 years who has had many an enhanced DBS check done. I suspect that the person objecting has no clue about what safeguarding children entails or doesn’t care. Very worrying either way.

Well said, and I agree it's not foolproof - but it's certainly very strange to not want one. I welcome having them - whilst they may not be perfect, I want people I am going to be working with to be reassured that I have at least been checked out. It's an entirely commonsense part of safeguarding.

"Shireen" of the "Trans, Ace, pan-romantic, autistic, ADHD, vegan, leftist.

Horror fan" twitter bio. Guess that says it all. Perhaps he could add "not fit to lick JKR's boots"? Yes, that would spice up his oh-so- predictable twitter bio.

Well done Will Witt. It is like PIE all over again.

Well done to Kim also (see video below) busting the Welsh Gov’s ass over the same dishonest and underhanded tactics to sexualise young children

If the weirdos and perverts without any conscience get any further in their campaign to destroy and attack, pressurise both us and the planet are not stopped from corrupting, using and perverting natural laws and justice as well as some semblance of values, standards scientists facts, evidence and biological reality their will be nothing much left worth salvaging for the near future at this rate. Most of us know it’s just wrong and others have uneasy feelings but can’t identify or do much. At least it’s all being recognised couched in terms of criminal action now not just abuse misuse of power but actual criminal and negligent, purposeful behaviour the individual perpetrators and enabling institutions have to be held to account for doing. As they should and will be one way or another.

Let's all memorize the caring father's speech at the Hillsboro School District!

I'm always wondering if I'd had a big, expensive, public, messy divorce/custody case back in 1995-98, taking it all the way to the jury trial, when I kicked out my cross-dressing husband, could it have been the warning I wanted to give the world?

Instead I signed an equally expensive, coerced settlement, which has been private all these years. While talking about what the cross-sex lobby did to me might seem like sour grapes, it may serve as a warning to those mothers thinking, "I just need to keep her head down, be quiet, work hard, hope the children won't start calling me by my first name, the way their father and his allies indoctrinate."

A man here in Maine has spoken up at school board meetings against CRT and what he accurately terms the hyper-sexualization of children in schools. The Hampden school board told him he had no right to speak, he took them to court, and got a $40,000 settlement for violating his constitutional rights. He is, of course, being characterized as an EXTREME right-winger; I cannot confirm or deny that, I'm just glad he's speaking up!
