Seeing JK Rowling call Pink News a 'Clickbait Comic' on Twitter was beyond hilarious. 😄

She's so great on Twitter.

I began to take notice of her when she used to bait Donald Trump on Twitter, she was quite funny.

Still, I left Twitter because I ended up wasting so much time yet, here she is, writing 1,000 page long door stoppers while posting some great tweets. What a woman!

Dylan Moran what a disappointment. To be honest I'm now permanently banned from the twit (solidarity Graham) no idea what my crime is ... hoping it was telling Sally Haines she's a drunk lush, probably telling all those trans they don't pass, and they are men... but this reminds me why its probably good for my mental health to be off it. Did you read that NicolaSturgeon got booed at Dunfermline today? Yay!

Expand full comment

Did she!? Nicola can do no wrong among SNP supporters. Seems her handling of Covid contrasted with Boris was what really "impressed" people. Personally I can't stand her wokery. I think she's destroying women's sex-based rights and is damaging children bodies by keeping the Sandyford open and continuing to promote gender ideology in schools Why can't people see the damage she's doing?

but percentage wise more people died of covid in Scotland.... I read somewhere.. its all smoke and mirrors with Nicola

Oh really? If so, there's no excuse for that at all. Look how populated / densely populated England is compared to Scotland!

I think the collapse in Educational standards doesn't help and the ferry scandal. And a goodly percentae of people tired of hearing everything is Westministers fault... Mrs Macginty falls over in Liberton? Westminster to blame!

I left Twitter after two weeks. Got bored with arguing with total strangers and getting uptight about it so, as you do, I care about my mental health. That site can really sap your energy and you end up checking it every 5 minutes. Life's definitely too short for that shit.

Thanks for reminder. Just a warning to all of strikes and anyone travelling a way, train drivers strike on Wednesday which is slightly scuppering my plans this week (and between England and Scotland).

Just booked my train to Edinburgh! I'm going alone but sure I'll meet plenty people there. Is there much noise coming from the shit ninjas?

Oh DM, stop virtue-signalling. He's one to accuse someone else of being egotistical. I used to love DM but I cannot stand the gaslighting. I get the sense he's also being very naive.... I mean, all these people getting on their high horse in support of all this BS, how will they backtrack in a year or so's time!?!?

I have never liked him, Moran - he looks shifty.

We must rid the world of the deceptive and perverted term ‘minor-attracted persons’. A pedophile is a pedophile is a pedophile. Pedophilia is not, and never will be — a sexual identity. This is where queer theory has always been headed -- its pedophilic founding fathers sought the eradication of the safeguarding boundaries of civil society. From its very inception. We must, at all costs, maintain the stigma of pedophilia. Can we even believe this is up for discussion in a sane world? FFS.

Expand full comment

Yes, we must. And extend that to clearly stating, being 'attracted to minors' is wrong isn't it? Getting agreement. Not leaving doubt. Not letting any linguistic loophole let anyone wriggle out of this. Most people are shocked when they learn of the sexologists, dodgy and abusive unethical 'research' and 'treatment', French philosophers, academic theories and flag designers that QT is built on, from and promotes.

So, after learning or understanding all that, how can they still not be convinced or change their minds. It's defending paedophilia, or not defending it, there is no half measure or 'yet to be convinced' with that. While people sit on fences children and vulnerable adults are being harmed as always.

How many times can one be 'peak transed'? By now, we've all gone way beyond Mt. Everest heights of awareness and aggravation. We'll have to go off-world to describe ever higher 'peaks'. Good luck to everyone in maintaining some sort of detachment. It's the only way to survive and stay involved in the insanity.

I wish I were surprised and shocked that a Mermaids trustee is... interested in peudophilia. But, since puberty blockers can cause genital atrophy and "suspend bodies in a childlike state" (as stated in the Kiera Bell v Tavistock court case), I can't say I'm surprised at all.

Dylan Moran - another disappointing coward.

I won't be able to listen to him now. Used to love his material.

It's true though, it's probably his bloody kids.

I read Harry Hill had a silly joke on his new show, something about Chicken Chow Mein and his 14 year old daughter told him to change it because it's racist to mention this so he changed it.

There we have it, white, middle-class teenage snowflakes are excising any form humour (and really, the mention Chicken Chow Mein is hardly 'edgy') in case some other white, middle-class teenage snowflake gets triggered. What a fucking joyless world we're building.

They are doing their kids no favours. Not everyone will capitulate to tyrannical brats and they'll just have to learn to cope.

We have a lot of suicides in the U.S. and one wonders if some of them occur because someone whose parents coddled them ran into reality.

Is this all getting weirder like some last days of some empire? What a selection of shite you present us with kind sir. Ah Omid, so it’s the old ducking stool. If you’re a real feminist you’ll ‘stop whining’ and if you don’t as you express a naughty opinion out loud or use social media, you bob up and peskily breathe, then you are not a ‘real feminist’ you are guilty! Witch! Quick, dry her off so we can burn her too!

Where do I apply to become an Omid Real Feminist? Anyone know the terms and conditions? Where will I find one? Can I fill the application form in online? Anyone know what the rules are?

I just realized, as I was working on my Somatic Sets for mental wellbeing, the scars from teen girls' mastectomies have more tragic deeper meaning than simply cutting off female organs. The vagus and phenic nerves, running from the brain down through the torso, are affected by the scarring, the trauma of the surgery. Gender Ideology does not account for the body as a complex system, oddly.

The blue sweater guy telling women misogyny causes women to fear him in our loos is utterly creepy.

I'm so glad I never ran into my ex-husband in the ladies'. Diatribes of sexism!

I wonder about nerve damage possibly causing pain long after the operation.

Expand full comment

Absolutely yes. I know, because I had to have a benign bone tumor removed from the top of my head. I have 8 inch scar, and what's called scar neuroma. I use my Somatic Sets movements to keep pain cycle at bay. Scar tissue interferes with sensations and nerves may or may not heal completely. Good question.

I used to really like Omid Djalili - what a disappointment. Still, his parents come from Iran, a country that set the trend for homosexuals to get a sex change or die. Homophobic woman hater.

Expand full comment

I can't believe you write comedy and are now tasked with doing this as too many look the other way. It's hard to read this and a few here mention caution with time online as it affects our mental health. All this chucking 'internalized misogyny' at women. No. They're yet again missing the reality by a mile. It's being thrown as a supposedly clever insult to silence women or counter arguments but leaves me a bit puzzled. Are they all bots, don't understand what these words mean, are state paid operatives, or it's all an ironic display of internalized and patently externalized misogyny to achieve what? I'm unsure. Clicks? Is that it? Rile us as they can?

Men are telling women we've got so much suppressed and repressed (who does the suppression, repression and oppression here guys) and therefore internalized woman-hating that something something we don't want men in our women's spaces? All about the men, always and forever, and always will be for the men like this.

I did look at @jamesissmiling in the TitTok clip. Stopped the whiny whining after the bunny ear air quotes mentioning 'discomfort' women experience? What the feck would he know? What it's like to be a woman being raped or assaulted, or knowing it's a possibility. Fighting back? How many long drawn out postpartum haemorrhages has he known? Like his fellow trans identified males who can't wait to get abortions to properly LARP?

Does he live every day ensuring he never has anyone standing or being present near or approaching him from behind in public or private as that is often how women are attacked, caught unawares with a thwack round the head? That's how many of us live. How we risk assess going into any space at all? Check doors and escape options? Keep alert and hypervigilant?

I had the pleasure last night of watching Lucy Worsley's TV program about the witch hunts in Scotland (I know, I know, you probably saw it a while ago!). There were some issues she did not cover, and I think it could have easily run to at least two programs instead of one.

But how telling what is happening now becomes after watching this program! Same old, same old, same old misogyny and viciousness from men foisted onto women. And it goes right to Deborrah Cooper's question about "Why are white women so scared?" Her ancestors (she's African-American) lived through hell but only by being strong; European women lived through hell by being submissive, and I believe too many of us still remember in our bones our torture and murder.

Expand full comment

I didn't realise Lucy Worsley had done a programme on witch hunts (Scotland hasn't changed much unfortunately, has it?). I like her. I'll check it out.

Funnily enough, now living in Bulgaria, I've taken an interest in the history of the Balkans during the Ottoman occupation. These countries didn't really have any witch hunts because their Christianity was powerless and ordinary people were too busy surviving without making waves. If there were any accusations, they were thin on the ground and dealt with locally, as the Muslim occupiers felt witchcraft was some silly rubbish that only occupied Christian minds.

It seems witch hunting on a wide scale was peculiar to western Europe (and arch Catholic Poland).
