This has been a week of good news. Today in the House of Commons? Are you kidding me? This was a sublime moment.
And then there was Joanna Cherry’s speech.
It’s embarrassing that a woman like Cherry has to explain these completely obvious points to women who have put their careers ahead of doing the right thing. Shame on all of them.
And then there was this!
How do you like them apples? Meanwhile, JK is drawing out the scumbags and making them famous. Today, it was a man named Vaush.
But wait, there’s more! This is Vaush.
Now, why would Vaush want to attack someone who values safeguarding and wrote a moving essay on the importance of single-sex spaces to women and children? It sure is a mystery.
Twitter, as always, editorialised it so that Rowling is the problem.
Isn’t there a legal case to be taken against Twitter for the way that company is policing and controlling the debate? Aren’t they breaking the Equality act by continually framing GC figures and positions in this way?
Here’s the episode anyway, a joy from start to finish.
Interim findings of the Cass review are very, very good
"There is a lack of agreement, and in many instances a lack of open discussion, about the extent to which gender incongruence in childhood and adolescence can be an inherent and immutable phenomenon for which transition is the best option for the individual.”
This is so great. Basically, they’ve been found to be making it up as they go along. For years it's been nearly impossible to even raise the slightest concern despite Bells (Dr and Keira), whistleblowers, Appleby etc. Now the Cass review confirms everything we’ve all been saying.
The review allows concerned and cautious voices within the NHS to slap the report on the table and say "Chew on that".
Reminder, this was me a few years back, getting the third degree on Newsnight for making the same points.
Great timing for the Witchfinder’s First Minister
Here’s Stefonknee, Sturgeon’s gift to Scottish women (thread).
Yvette Cooper joins clown college
Yvette Cooper joins the ranks of Labour politicians beclowning themselves because Keir Starmer refuses to be the adult in the room and destroy the ideological cult that has taken over his party. What’s particularly galling about Cooper is that Rosie Duffield provided her with one chapter of her book—her moving and personal speech on domestic violence—and Cooper to my knowledge has never defended Rosie from the constant attacks she receives for her consistency in defending vulnerable women.
Now, the beclowning is complete as she argues that defining the word woman is to go down a ‘rabbit hole’.
It’s only a rabbit hole for your side, Yvette. And it always will be.
Conscience is nagging him
He can’t leave it alone.
Yikes yikes yikes
This is what happens when you bamboozle naive people into adopting principles of queer theory.
Remember, the WEP is owned by Google.
Read the WEP continues to betray its members for the background to this one.
Moley on Madeley
You’re not going to believe this, but Richard Madeley said something stupid.
More women attacked on IWD
You may have read the Reduxx report on the astonishing attacks on women in France. A subscriber writes: “This happened in Oslo too. We were abused by various groups, including a man screaming that he was a transwoman and that meant he was a woman. Afterward, there was a party at a political squat in town with these posters”
This is astonishing

Get ready to get fucked, Labour
To wit
Ash Sarkar, a posh, privileged kid with luxury beliefs. She made her smug whippet ‘joke’ and Labour lost Hartlepool. But she still thinks she can lecture Rowling.
Keep killing it, Sinead
And don’t forget this Saturday.
Joanna Cherry ; shortarse in stature , a giant in integrity . Any chance of getting her on The Mess ?
Re. Women’s Equality Party: damn right asking for the definition of woman is a gotcha moment. It’s the one question that trips and traps them all. Almost as good as “does a woman have a penis?”.
