I guess the TV in Broadcast's TV MOMENT OF THE YEAR is for Transvestite.

Also that nomination is nothing more than doubling down - they know the stunt backfired.

Where did this ridiculous view that feminism is for everyone come from?

No, it is not for everyone. It's for women & girls.

Deal with it.

Slaves

The BBC used a tweet from 2014 that has 4 (FOUR!) retweets to illustrate the supposed outcry over the name of the band. Ridiculous.

I didn't realise he was such an expert darts player, surly a second career for him. No wonder his latest tattoo is 180 🤣 But, I think he'll find the professional darts world a lot less indulgent of him, he might need some aggressive correct pronoun enforcers working for him.

I'm surprised Sams Smiths can event count to 180 - considering he gets confused with singular and plural pronouns easily enough...

I think you might be right, he obviously isn't sure how many people he is, but I'm sure he's obsessed with all of them..

Again, what a shite-show! The Onion used to be a satirical college newspaper, so named after The Wisconsin Memorial Union, a building in my home town of Madison, Wisconsin. Unfortunately, they forgot that memorial meant, memories of those who gave their lives in Europe in The Great War, like my great-uncle, Alfred Klingman, died in the Argonne Forest, Sept of the Armistice. Veterans Day here in US used to be Armistice Day.

The Onion also satirized children with cognitive disabilities "being taught to order burgers at MacDonalds." I wrote them a letter of complaint, as a regular at the actual Union, and as a teacher in Special Education. No response, of course.

I was wondering when the first “Christmas is transphobic” story of the season would appear!

Meet the new religion, same as the old religion.

UN Free & Equal might as well be an old priest decreeing that "everyone has an internal sense of (whatever)..." as if that's supposed to mean something authoritative and we're all supposed to genuflect before this "insight," while the former head of Twitter Trust and Safety might as well be Father Jack wondering if the girl's volleyball team would like to play with their tops off.

They can label it with any post-modern wank they like, it's the same old credulous nonsense coming round again with the same opportunities for power and sexual/financial exploitation.

Pardon my ignorance but who are the two females in the photo and what did they say/do? One of them looks like Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

That's Aisling Bea with her. Am sure someone here will know what they did.

Those paedo pricks in skirts just can't help themselves can they? We can almost sit back and watch them dig their own graves. Still, we must not be complacent. I must admit, when I read in the Guardian that women were kicked out of twitter at a higher rate than men, I recalled some of the 'women' and smiled.

Talking of the Guardian, an article on the bath scene in Father Ted, and they did have to mention Graham. It's strange still, that they're having a look back on Father Ted article:

Correction - the erudite older gentleman is obviously a New Zealander, not an Aussie.

Top work as always Glinner, and thanks especially (I think) for bringing that chilling Novara article to my attention. Just two things: the Irish Teacher's article does need some serious unpacking but it's worth noting that the word 'dirty' originally came from Hadley Freeman (at least I think it's Hadley and not Hayley) who had said feminism had become a dirty word. It's an unfortunate instance of running with a metaphor, but the writer didn't come up with the word herself. Second, small point but I think your 'Aussie Ed Gein' is actually a New Zealander.

It's like that coercive and manipulative 'everyone has pronouns' nonsense - no I do not have pronouns, there are pronouns associated with my sex.
