Just had a conflab with my Mum about TFSS - her reaction involved saying: 'You're Joking?!' many, many times - nobody can actually believe it when you just say it - thankfully we have TFSS website receipts and Benjamin Boyce to fall back on!
I probably say this every time Laurie Penny's mentioned but it bears repeating - this is a woman whose advice to a hypothetical nine year-old victim of a male flasher is: "Tell her it's rude to stare."
She is either so fucking high on her own smugness that she genuinely has no idea what evil she helps to facilitate, or she does but she doesn't give two shits about anything other than her career advancement and the approval of her peer group. Either way, one day she'll be frantically deleting her twitter history but it's all documented right here.

Medical insurance is one thing I’ve really worried about - since reading about the numpties at Virgin/O2 bragging about paying for staff to transition. Guess someone earns commission for signing up employers.

Isn't it interesting how they deploy a bit of zero empathy double think. The gents is such a dangerous place to be in that they don't feel safe... but yet they can't appreciate how a woman might feel the same if they use the ladies. Got into a heated discussion with an activist about it, and a third unisex space was flat out rejected; refused to even consider the possibility as it would "other" and potentially "out" the individual using them. As though bathroom choice is more of a giveaway than the madam's apple/choker/dead-eyed expression.
Elephants need extremely large spaces to live in, and zoos cannot provide them proper space. This is a bored elephant who is playing with stuff in his/her enclosure plus elephants are highly social -- where are the other elephants? Elephants are everything humans are not: empathetic, intelligent, sensitive.
