Oh Kathleen.

As just an average woman who chooses to speak up against gender ideology to try to do my bit, I do find it frustrating when people whose *job* it actually is to talk about stuff like this (Lewis, Singal, Herzog) take the moral high ground above others such as Glinner and Posie by suggesting they’re too mean. They’re not mean. They’re honest. And it’s their kind of honesty that reaches regular people like me who otherwise wouldn’t have a clue about the extent of what’s going on and therefore wouldn’t be speaking up ourselves.

Doesn't she use 'cis' unironically in her book?

Expand full comment

I can’t remember her using the word ‘cis’ but I could be wrong. She will however call males “she” sometimes.

She also criticised Dr Julia Long for not using gender identity based pronouns. Well why should she, given that she believes in sex based rights and not gender identity ideology? Comedy contributes far more to the world than acadmics who seem intent on dividing the women's movement in aid of their own careers.

Super video! I've been saying this for years: mock the powerless and prove yourself a sleaze; mock the powerful and maybe say something meaningful. Stephen Colbert used to be funny and did a great roast of George W Bush back in the early part of the century; now all he does is tote water for the U.S. government.

Quite. God grant me the confidence of a two faced mediocre academic!

yes, it's weird to me, too. Too mean? Did you see what we are up against? I'm not one for meanness but when you are prolific something is going to slip. And one mean act does not wipe out truth. But, sadly, it does look like that is where they draw the line in the sand. And that's too bad. Because there is so much beyond that line that they are missing. That line is where the clowns and comedians play - at the edge. This gives us a different perspective. And the perspective is necessary. Making people laugh is one of the best ways to bring in change. So go comedians go... we need you more than ever. Here's a clip of Yuval Noah Harari talking about the importance of comedy with Judd Apatow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFNNIb4sV28

Thank goodness I read that 'Transmaxxing' fact list. As a nurse, my male patients will be thrilled to find out that (#10.) the secret to living longer is simply identifying as a woman. Life hack!

Point 15 - transitioning to female means you are less likely to get killed? But...I thought they were the most vulnerable group!

Expand full comment

Haha oops! This is so obviously an MRA movement. But female people are the real priviledged class! Men are the most oppressed beings ever! Honestly. How any women and "feminists" support this is beyond me.

Actually, when Julian Vigo did her study of population statistics in Canada, men were the most likely to be murdered, then women, then trans. Think about how violent men are towards each other. Here in Maine, U.S.A., it seems like at around 2 a.m. some dude decides he's gonna go get even with some other dude, goes to other dude's house and murders him. Someone I know did home care for a man whose son deliberately bumped his father's ATV with his ATV, leading to his father's severely damaged brain and eventual death; oddly, this same father had another son who had murdered his uncle while his uncle was sleeping.

Expand full comment

Yes, the highest demographic to be murdered is men - by men.

However that is never mentioned. Only the fictional "transwomen" trope is mentioned.

In UK this year alone: 108 women have been killed by Men.

Transwomen? 0.

Expand full comment

Exactly. Thank you for putting up this statistic.

Did you ever hear about the one TIM who murdered the other TIM because they were arguing about who was the prettiest? Men are unbelievable!

Until you’re murdered in the street of course…

That Lancet article is just hateful...I have little trust in many of todays organisations, but now medicine! and the NHS probably wraps it up to total 0%.

You are disgusting people you said before bodies with vaginas why not now?

Name yourselves and answer questions you cowards,

So basically you can insult white women...but a free pass for everyone else.

These people really ought to have their names and profiles up and response to concerns...but yeah they are woke cowards.

You are spot on. We are here cos academics like Head Girl Stock wanted to #bekind about AGPs and keep their public funded highly paid jobs. Her lofty high ground bleatings make me bilious.

Couldn't be arsed to spend my self employed earnings on her book and if she has called women "cis" in book she is a disgrace.

Jeremy Vine joins the long list of s'leb gender extremist bandwagoners who've mysteriously forgotten their shilling for Mermaids. Mind you some are trying to distance themselves harder than others e.g. Josie Long moved to Scotland!

He has no backbone or ingrity, but their backpeddling and denial can only be a good sign. I also notice that the Harry Potter kids have gone quiet recently. Emma Watson was extremely vocal in her support for Mermaids. And where oh where is Daniel Radcliffe to mansplain what a woman is to us all?

I stomached that Owen Jones / Vine thing and I’m quite sure Owen Jones is actually mentally deranged. Pity Vine didn’t call out his double standards, just to see if Jones had the slightest recollection of his own Twitter alter.

I remember when Grace Lavatory wrote about not letting parents hear his talk on zoom and my first thought was … Oh great big red flag warning.

And then K. Vine chirping in about Graham calling out grooming.

Well Kath this is what parents and grandparents do.

The protection of youths is more important than the weird and wacky "intellectualism" that universities purport.

Why did Ben Hunte join a company that quietly settled at least 4 sexual harassment claims after fostering a male dominant, misogynistic work culture - unsafe for women - for years. A company that was then able to brush it under the rug without any meaningful inquiry.

I am a bit disappointed with Kathleen Stock but I wish you guys could work things out xx

If I am honest, at first, I thought Posie was a bit mean but that was early on - now I totally get it, she's not mean she is just sick of it all - as we all are. Now I love her and think she is great. I think you have to experience some of the real crazy shite to understand why Posie is not giving up this fight. These academics don't get half the shit that Posie and you (Graham) get. They don't have any idea how bad things can be.

Historically the women of the Ulaid were known/reputed for their ability to pee standing up. It's perfectly doable for some women (myself included) and very handy for camping. That munchie mummy has clearly never lived and certainly hasn't tried passing water in the bushes at Electric Picnic with a bottle of Buckfast in each hand while Hot Chip keep the beat.

"They genuinely think that women are just deformed men"

Isn't this the point that Helen Joyce made and many feminist writers before her? This is what men have thought throughout patriarchy and obviously The Lancet is still living in BCE Greece. Once again I recommend H.R. Hayes's book The Dangerous Sex as an anthropological overview of the roots of patriarchy.

And I still love Jean Genet from The Balcony if I have the play correct: Without women, you'd be nothing but a spot on your father's pants three flies could have drunk up.
