Not a solicitor ... not an accountant ... not a woman ... who, or what, is Sara Phillips!?!

Possible they passed exams and didn’t pay their fee….?

The accountancy body doesn’t sound too pleased with them though. There’s such a lack of accountability with these groups who are pocketing vast amounts. Definitely needs a sort out

Such corrupt shenanigans and anti-science gender extremism equals the simplest of Venn diagrams.

Most vulnerable does not even come close to describing how vulnerable they are. There just isn't a word in the English language big enough for it. See, English was really invented with the purpose of oppressing trans accountant lawyers. Or trans lawyer accountants.

Perhaps there is one in those languages that Gender Studies tell us have no word for man and woman, except that according to linguists they do.

h8tr! Trans accountants are accountants. *End of.

*subject to professional qualifications. Actual accounting experience may significantly differ from heteronormative cisaccountancy.

Does anyone else think that gender identity politics is basically mansplaining to women what a woman should be? It seems particularly ironic that whatever rainbow knife artist was responsible for that sticker is practising DARVO. Women do know what a woman IS because they are one. Women have never been able to use the patriarchy but have fought it for years. The only ones using the patriarchy are men who claim they are women. As ever, so much BS to take in and don't even get me started on that aphabet soup flyer.

No, and we won't. But if it ever does happen you can guarantee that men aren't going to be tiptoeing around what words they can and can't use. They won't stop naming and talking about their genitals, or claim being a man is an identity that women can assume to the extent that it becomes a literal reality.

Some men go through the motions to prove how non-transphobic and inclusive they are. They wouldn't be bothered by transmen using their lavatories and changing rooms, etc. Why would they be? Transmen are not a threat to their safety.

I discussed this and other issues with a man recently, and his response was that he didn't see any conflict between trans rights and women's rights. Not just there doesn't have to be, but there isn't any, and he doesn't want to get involved in a culture war, despite having just detonated a bomb.

Fortunately, he did later see that he's been making a lot of assumptions, and consequently didn't have a clear understanding, etc. It's good that he was open to discussion and thought, too many men seem happy to carry on assuming.

Absolutely. Too many men assume a great mnay things about women on a regular basis.

Re. the "inclusiveness" training alphabet of infinite gender possibility. It's in Canada, wouldn't you know. As a Canadian, I've taken it upon myself to reword their poster.

The LGGAATTQQBI, etc poster is great fun. The person or people who came up with this rather excessive initialism (though it's bound to exclude some who'll probably object or be triggered or left feeling unsafe) and the ideas behind it must be misunderstanding what causes stress and anxiety in people, who or whatever they might be. What a massive headache and stress fest any involvement with that would provoke. Give these people something to do and a purpose in life, for fucks sake.

"Sex work is work" is one of the "trans" mantras.

Expand full comment

I've always wondered why such a grotesquely large share of them is in prostitution. Poverty caused by medical bills - and other things, including discrimination - is only one part of the equation. Some of the trans prostitutes will, of course, have bizarre fetishes as well,. There has to be a demand for these services as well, though, and apparently it is larger than my apparently naive appreciation of human sexuality allows me to picture.

Expand full comment

Regarding poverty, I think this is more true of the TIMs who are minorities. For some of these men, being seen as female by other men is a huge boost to their fetishism. They don't need to prostitute, they do it for the kick it gives them. And then there's the reasons you mention.

Expand full comment

Yes, I suppose that discriminations do add up. It's not like intersectionalism is complete BS, it's just been weaponized to eliminate class from the equation. Of all trans murder victims in the US, African American transwomen are a clear majority, making up up to 80 (!) per cent of all the victims. This is mainly a result of prostitution. African American transwomen are the only trans demographic group who have a greater chance of getting murdered than the average population. It may be even higher than for African American men overall. A statistician should take a closer look at that.

In trans people overall, the chance of becoming a homicide victim is generally about half of the general population. If you adjust by age, it is even lower than that. (Murder victims are on average much younger than the general population, and trans people are an extremely young group overall. So within the same age group, their chance of getting murdered is less than half of the overall murder rate) Note: It may be even considerably lower than that as most statistics use the "umbrella definition" of trans. This of course describes a much larger group than the roughly .2 to .3 per cent of people with diagnosed GD, which is the population share used to calculate murder rates among trans people.

Transphobic murders do occur, sadly, but they are extremely rare. In the US at least, it is prostitution that gets transwomen killed. That is in itself a scandal, and transactivists aren't helping matters by crying transphobia all over. That just obscures the actual problems those people have they claim to represent.

Expand full comment

Julian Vigo did a statistical analysis of murders in Canada, but I don't know if she separated by racial identity. In her analysis, men were the most likely to be murdered followed by women, and trans were highly unlikely to be murdered.

Expand full comment

I'd have to do some number crunching for a number of countries in order to meaningfully compare that. Only did that for the US so far, where we have seen that prostitution wildly increases the numbers. In the US, men are about four times as likely to be murdered as woman, which would make "transwomen" unsafer than women but considerably safer than fellow men, in spite of the really low average age of the group.

Probably in Canada the likelihood of women to be murdered is much closer to that of men but much lower than in the US. Canada has a much lower overall murder rate, which is primarily the result of public space being much safer for a whole host of reasons - this benefits men a lot more than it does women, who mainly become victims of violence in their own homes. The Canadian welfare state makes both men and women considerably safer. This is pretty much a trend you see when you compare violence and especially deadly violence in all industrialized nations and compare it to the US.
