"My son is my son. He was once a daughter." This is such a pile of concentrated shite, humans don't work that way! How do you get to be a grown ass adult, with a child, and a job, yet have such a tenuous grasp of basic biology and grammar! How do you get to the point where you think the word "son" has no connection with being male, or "daughter" with being female! You can't have a son that turns into a daughter, humans aren't fucking clownfish!

There are many parents struggling out there with the cognitive dissonance of what has happened to their children and the deal with the devil they have made in order to support it. It is very sad.

Expand full comment

Yes I feel sorry for many of the poor buggers - who were told their kids would kill themselves if they didn't go along with this crap. But they should stop promoting this for other families.

Expand full comment

And of course once embarked upon, this journey is irreversible. Imagine feeling responsible for that? You HAVE to believe it, or you have ruined your child's life.

I understand the need to gently support privately so as to maintain your connection with your child - but to sign up to the ideology yourself and promote it to others for your own weird virtue signalling validation - no. Whose rights is he talking about here? Because I know which side is imposing, encroaching and eroding others rights including the very basic right to hold a different opinion and not be labelled a bigot. These people give me shades of Susie Green - horrible parents enjoying the stunning bravery by proxy.

Yes. i have a friend who is really doing well supporting his child, not getting into political confrontations, setting boundaries; not letting the child anywhere near gender services - NHS or private but finding therapists who will properly explore the whole family dynamic and all antecendents without buying into it. It's those parents who've made this into a Human Rights Struggle to validate their choices that are the worrying ones. And of course, the Munchy Mums, who have made a career out of it

Munchy Mums 🤭

They have no idea what they're telling us when they criticise women for looking like women; they're not trying to "pass" as women (because they obviously hate them), they're trying to pass as the porn stars they're addicted to watching.

This is the bit where Emma Watson suddenly goes quiet because she's trying to pass as a feminist.

Still, it's hilarious that Rosie Jones (nope, me neither) thinks she's in the same "community" as the wildly-successful JK Rowling, and that lunch looks like a blast!

Expand full comment

Rosie Jones is a comedienne. I think she's a lesbian (oops, she'd say 'queer'). She has Cerebral Palsy and I don't think she is very funny. She relies a lot on the apparent shock value of a disabled person swearing a lot. She is on The last Leg and other Channel 4 shows a fair bit.

Expand full comment

Yes, she did a spectacularly unfunny ‘roast’ with Alex Brooker . She is one of that coterie on Dave who all laugh at each other’s jokes.

Who ? 🙄

Expand full comment

Totally agree. Every single time she's on TV, I have the same opinion. Not funny, swears too much and is just offensive.

Anyone criticising JKR is a hero right now, even unknown comics.

The thing is, us middle aged women (well, those of us with common sense) know and accept that our looks change as we age. Better still, we don’t care because we know that all the good looks in the world are no compensation for what matters in the end. I’d rather be remembered with love.

There are people now trying to get the Chief Grants Officer at LCF fired. They've looked her up and found her guilty of liking the wrong tweets and so concluded that she must be the one who must be punished for the LCF grant to LGB Alliance. I hope her employer stands by her and protects her through this. What a horrible bunch of people who would turn criticism of an organisational decision into such a witch hunt.

India Willoughby has jumped the gender identity extremist shark.

I really do think he's in meltdown. He has not been able to roll with what he will see as the terrible betrayal of knowing that (despite all the surgery he's had), no-one thinks he is an actual woman.

Expand full comment

And, as a corollary, that we DO see people who haven't made his (sexist) requisite level of effort, as women. He once said on radio 4 something along the lines of feminists don't shave their legs. When you've inverted your penis and shaved your ADAM'S APPLE, and you realise women were only humouring you, that's got to smart a bit

Expand full comment

That he can't roll with it is partly to his horrible pre-existing personality, of course

Expand full comment

We overlook that don’t we. Wearing a dress and lipstick doesn’t make anyone a decent person.

Expand full comment

A d the thing is he’s not attractive to any sex now because he’s no sex. Men don’t want a mutilated version of a woman and women don’t want a male body which can’t function. These men don’t think ahead before going down this road. They are in effect nothing at all.

For the majority, how sobering it must be to realise you aren’t wanted, desired, and for what ? No wonder some are so angry and bitter. Perhaps because they have an inadequate life, how dare anyone else be fulfilled?

That's such a good point.

Definitely something is going on, perhaps he needs support from his friends, or maybe they are selective who they support.. like only children and young adults.

I don’t see him having many friends because he’s not a nice person and wasn’t before he chopped off his bits.

The trans-loon response to the JKR lunch perfectly exposes these blokes for the lesbophobe misogynists they are. We’ve been saying for years this is a movement based on sexist stereotypes and they’re just proving we’re all right. These amazing women don’t have to LOOK any way you porny nobbers think they should. They just ARE women.

Sorry guys! No amount of pouting, lipstick, silicone boobage or head-tilting is gonna make you into one. Get Over It.

Yes, and a group of intelligent, articulate women talking and laughing together can be so threatening to men whose identities are not secure and who rely on validation.

Expand full comment

Precisely. The responses on twitter from TRAs have been vile, but it's throwing so much light on it and they don't even realise they're blowing up their own cause by their spectacular bigotry.

The photos from the dinner fill me with lovely womanly joy. They also fill me with lovely womanly spiteful glee at the Autogynephiles / Trans Activists whatever getting in such a rage - and you can see why! A wonderful mix of ages, shapes and styles - all women with absolutely no men - having the sort of womanly jolly that would give the AGP a shrieking - well, bellowing - validation orgasm. To rub salt into their wounds - these women who have come together because of their refusal to accept AGPs/men can ever be women. Thanks AGPs!

Their indignation proves their entitlement is through the roof. Men, get over it, you’re not relevant to this. You weren’t wanted there or needed there……buy more lipstick.. or something.

Just had a look at ‘Jakki’’s thread. It’s full of hidden replies, anglophobia, misogyny, childish name calling and delusion. I’m not going to argue with immature idiots, so left it alone. They really are coming to the boil now, particularly the American ones, as they can see it’s not going their way any more. The rage and misogyny is out in the open for all to see.

I love how the Twittersphere has gone insane over this 'ladies' lunch' :-)

The bottom pixelated pic. I know who that is and he's blocked me though I've never heard of him. If he really believes his daughter is now his son, why is he so afraid of gender critical women?

The comments on the butch women totally highlights how obsessed with regressive stereotypes this movement is. Non-feminine = man. That's the most homophobic shit that we left behind when I was still at school.

Those scared of free speech use scare quotes as part of their strategy to suppress it. Those promoting the medicalising of gender non-conforming children have a policy of refusing to engage in debate, which is probably why they are absent from that GB news discussion. According to Andrew Doyle, such people have repeatedly declined invitations.
