It's funny, but it also makes me feel very sad because his Party is now part of the Government up here. If I could afford to do it, I'd be packing up my life and getting the hell out of Scotland.

I do hear you. And it makes me very sad too, I assure you - even from down here in England.

I felt it necessary to do this - there are a lot of extremely angry women in Scotland, I know...

I was asked to do 'something' with this actual magazine cover (It really is him on the cover from 2017) by several Twitter followers... I was reluctant because I was not particularly aware of who this person was to any great detail.

But it soon became very apparent the depth of feeling against him when I asked a couple of friends up there via Twitter DM.

So I felt I had to have a go really!

This is inspired. I am going through family court where my ex abuser has held my daughter hostage for 2 years. Believe me, this shit is real and I have friend's who are under threat of prison if they break the metaphysical scold's bridle the court impose on abused women. Wake the fuck up UK, the police are being given guidance at the moment that reporting domestic abuse ... is abuse of the abuser ...

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. If I could help in some way, I would try to.

All I can do is wish you good luck for the immediate future. Stay strong!

Don't get me wrong: it's a great piece of work, and the fact that it has stirred such mixed emotions shows how much it works. Please keep it up 😁

Thanks...!

I intend to. That is, as long as Twitter - or the police! - allows me!

Me too but sadly I'm too old. I hate what the SNP ( and their allies ) have done to my country !! The "guidance" for schools has made us a laughing stock !!

It really is Clownworld stuff, isn't it?

Thanks!

I liked the 'omnibus way station' bit! No idea to what or who that is referring of course...

*coughs*

My pleasure! Needed saying I think. There a hell of a lot of very angry women in Scotland - and it is for them I made this!

It is funny but I am worried that it is doing so much damage to Scotland's reputation which will be hard to recover from. There is a thread on Mumsnet asking if people would go to Scotland on holiday - i.e. the place where women can get put in prison for hate speech for saying that sex is real. The answers are very telling - lots of people saying no, they wouldn't come here, just as they would not go to repressive places like Iran, not only in relation to holidays but also cancelling plans to move here. A lot of real fear about Scotland turning into an authoritarian regime post independence. So very sad at a time when Scotland desperately needs the tourism and the inward investment. Women's rights and Scotland's reputation as an enlightened and liberal democracy all being thrown away by the SNP to buy the support of the mad Greens and stay in power.

We were planning to visit Scotland this year actually, now heading elsewhere in the UK. I will not lie and say it has anything to do with this - at the moment at least - but if the situation deteriorates further, then perhaps that may be in our thoughts more.

Just last night there was a situation when the police were called at a bar in Scotland, and a woman was told to leave - partially because of 'who she is' and partially because of an 'offensive' t-shirt. A waiting-on staff member recognised her and decided to take great exception to her t-shirt and her presence in the bar and announced that he or she felt 'unsafe'. Five police turned up and paying customer had to leave.

Five. Police.

Five.

If I or my partner ever felt we had to be careful about wearing a shirt with 'Adult Human Female' or 'No Thank You' displayed on it, for example, or be careful about what we said and to whom, then I doubt whether I would want to set foot in the country whilst this authoritarian attitude prevails.

Now THAT is a desperate situation.

Great satire Moley! Why can't the Greens just focus on actually doing something about the environment instead of identity politics crap? It's the same everywhere - we've got a federal election coming up in Canada and the Greens offer nothing but wokery-fuckery and infighting.

Thank you!

The irony of 'the Greens' is that they claim to follow scientific evidence over matters pertaining to the environment, but that evidential approach seems to be temporarily and conveniently cast aside when gender and identity rears its nebulous and unwelcome head. If I cannot trust them on the latter, why should I trust them on the former?

They cannot have it both ways.

Yes, I was angry - in one sense - while doing this one1 I could barely look at his glaring, preening face.

Quite to the point on wee squeaky Patrick, but it's unfortunate that Holyrood magazine was chosen as the context. Its editor is one of the handful of Scottish journalists prepared to look at the trans issue. This is the current editor's column.

Hello! Thanks for the comment. I did not know of course about such personnel details.

This cover featuring our friend here, was from 2017. And I was asked to do a parody by several Twitter followers, so rather than 'research' the history of the magazine I essentially just 'went for it'! I don't have time to consider all options, as I am sure you will appreciate, as these things tend to be 'in the moment' and have rather fleeting lives.

I do appreciate the fact that the current editor seems to have a more critical approach to matters at the moment though, that can only help!

Cheers.
