David Paisley, a weak man who bullies women to feel strong

UPDATE: five days before Christmas, I have received a letter from David Paisley's solicitors.

It states that Paisley intends to pursue me through the civil courts for a variety of claims, whether or not the prosecution service decide to charge me.

If i issue an apology to Paisley, and sign an undertaking not to talk about him in future, and delete all social media references to him, then he won't issue proceedings.

You know me well enough by now to know that I'm declining his kind offer to shut up.

One clarification.

The solicitor’s letter states that I've accused Paisley of being a child abuser.

I have not.

I have accused him of wading into debates he does not understand and muddying the waters in a way that child abusers find very comforting and helpful.

The fact that he cannot distinguish between an accusation of being an abuser, and an accusation of muddying the waters, even when i have explicitly stated that i am not accusing him of being a child abuser, confirm his lack of understanding of the issues around child protection.

It is also worth stating why I'm tweeting about this. It is not to "harass" Paisley. I am saying true things in public about his harassment of me, in order to expose his dirty tactics and make this debate a safer place to be for women. That is not harassment.

I agree with Ceri that it’s important to amplify these attempts to silence her as tactics like these have been used by trolls like Paisley, Hayden and Harrop for a number of years now. If he keeps targeting her, we’ll keep letting you know.
