In the midst of current discussion about evidence re GRA reform, the internal memo on left must be one of lowest of low points ever in @scotgovās history of evidence analysis.
Alerted to some relevant serious academic research, a civil servant turns as their top citation to... a blog that mis-reads the findings, by an anonymous person with this sort of public history on social media.
Women can, quite literally, sit in front of a parliamentary committee, backed up by pages of detailed submissions, mention a relevant example, and still be told they've not provided any relevant "evidence". While in government, the word of @notCursedE is "evidence" enough to sideline a serious academic paper.
A barely literate civil servant who does not realize that 'medium' is basically equivalent to wordpress. As long as it suits their agenda they don't care. I also live in Scotland and am also not surprised in the slightest. The Scottish government is an unmitigated disaster.
Shame on you Nicola Sturgeon. This will be the worst thing you will ever do, if your proposal goes through.
