The TRAs working at Twitter should be investigated now.

They should, the impact would be widespread. I think any light shone on them will achieve that.

I got blocked for writing that a transwoman was not an actual woman. They wanted me to delete so I just closed the account.

Me too. Suspended for observing that a happily married 'transwomen' is actually in a gay relationship but this is a different kettle of fish from a 'transwomen' claiming to be lesbian and harrassing lesbians in their spaces. It was actually a super-tolerant, live-and-let-live comment.

But, of course, what I failed to fully comprehend at that stage is that undermining safeguarding is actually the entire point of gender ideology. The entire point. This is why it's been so impossible to get a sane dialogue going.

Twitter employees were locked out of the code without warning last night, noon San Francisco time and Tesla engineers went into the office to review the code

Thank you so much! I have just created an archive copy of every Tweet since I joined Twitter in Feb 2020.

👍🙂 My pleasure; share the wealth; praise the lord and pass the ammunition! 😉

Technology has its place and value -- as the Archive Today site illustrates -- even if some people at places like Twitter, Facebook, and even Wikipedia abuse the power that it provides. Power corrupts and all that.

Somewhat apropos of Wikipedia, you might have some interest in my post, my "tale of woe" 🙂 for being "deplatformed" by them for objecting to their article on transwoman and Olympian Laurel Hubbard which claimed that "she" had "transitioned to female"🙄:

But you might also have some interest in another archiving application that has some broader applications and uses, the Internet Archive:

Yes. I know about The Wayback Machine. It shows a calendar of when a website was "crawled over". Very useful when a website has been closed down by the URL owner for various reasons (usually political reasons!)

Brilliant questioning by Joanna Cherry of Twitter's refusal to accept sex as a protected characteristic. And shameful evasion by Katy Minshall in response.

All hands to the Twitter pump, ladies! Why? Because this subject is attracting interest and commentary from people whose eyes skim over any newspaper articles that foreground women's rights. Get into those comments sections and start fact-bombing and signposting! ❤❤❤

Yup, people won't be able to avoid hashtags like #sport.

I have taken a screen shot of the Dear Mr Musk letter and posted it with the hashtag BringBackGlinner. Let’s see what happens if lots of us do this.

Had a permanent ban last week over a clearly false allegation. Appeal refused. Maybe I'll be back; though it's been a good break.

I think you'll all be back

Elon tweeted "The Bird is freed" and he's got rid of the leadership!

and

"Musk also intends to do away with permanent bans on users because he doesn’t believe in lifelong prohibitions, the person said. That means people previously booted off the platform may be allowed to return"

Shortly followed by the EU professing not to support the bird's freedom and opting for "control" instead. Women and men who understand biology and sex based rights will still be shushed there, it seems.

Doubt you would be in favour of no censorship at all. Want to give free rein to the pornographers, the anti-vaxxers, the peddlers of fake news, white supremacists, and all their ilk?

The problem with Twitter's censorship was that it was egregiously biased towards suppressing "transphobia" -- a word, as Hitchens might have said, created by fascists, and used by cowards to manipulate morons... 😉

Love seeing a Hitchens reference appear here! 🥺 Just started re-reading “god is not Great,” & always listen to his debates/speeches when working. A man beyond time & limitation--miss him every day.

🙂 Never did read much of him; sadly, he had died (2011) before I got into the topic in any depth.

Though I had followed bits and pieces related to Dawkins & "The Four Horsemen" -- including Dennett, Harris, & Hitchens. But have read about him, and seen several of his YouTube videos since then.

I've always avoided Twitter, but for all those who were on it and want to return, I hope Elon's purchase of it will mean you can.

Fingers crossed! I think the cultists will find it much harder to control the dialogue now and that is fantastic news in itself. It forces debate. It forces others to stop and think when they see there is another perspective.

Absolutely.

You were given no explanation. I've been given four different reasons, all without any evidence. All my appeals (I submit about one a month) are ignored and any emails too. It's disgraceful. Hopefully Musk will clear house - I understand he's already turned up with a sink which is a good indication he's going to be cleaning things up.

Just multimillion dollar lawsuits.

There should be, but if that's not going to happen, then I hope the era of bullying misogynists and sociopaths having such power and influence is coming to an end. These bastards have enabled incalculable harm to be done to millions and millions of vulnerable and impressionable children and young people.

My first activist twitter got banned for calling Auto Straddle 'POS'. They also simultaneously banned a personal private twitter I had for a decade before that wasn't even linked!!
