I was just writing about campaigning with Colm O’Gorman to Repeal The Eighth Amendment, the basis for Ireland’s once-draconian abortion laws, when I tried to find the video my wife and I did for them at the time. Many of you will remember that my wife bravely opened up about the pain she experienced over our first failed attempt to have a baby.
Well, here it is. Sorry the quality is so poor, but when I went to find the original I discovered they have disappeared it from their website. I guess bigots like me can’t experience tragedy, but why is my wife’s contribution to be erased along with mine?
It’s me calling you out for your misogynistic faith, Colm, me.
Not my ex-wife, not Jane Harris, me.
You only allow women to blink into life when you want to harass them, the rest of the time, you ensure they’re not even there. This is what your Amnesty tweeted at the moment when Irish women should have been celebrating their greatest victory over the Catholic Church.
You disappeared the women at the centre of the fight just like you’ve now disappeared Helen.
Right side of history, my arse.
I forgot to include the disappeared link in the emailed version. have updated https://www.amnesty.org.uk/graham-helen-linehan-speak-experience-abortion-ireland
I'm sorry Graham, what another bloody insult to lump on you! Pregnant people too...my arse!!!
