I cannot understand why our freedom of speech and freedom of expression has been so eroded that it has come to the point where the majority of voters, tax payers, and the general populace, have become thought criminals. Here is my point: Think about what thought is. Many academics believe that a great deal of thought is subvocal speech. In other words, you speak to your own mind using the language you speak with your mouth. you speak inside your mind to yourself without using your mouth and vocal cords to openly speak the words. If you are unable to speak those thoughts through fear of the law then you have lost the freedom to speak your mind, freedom of speech. If you are unable to write what you want to write for fear of the law you have lost the freedom of expression. In the book 1984 by George Orwell, Winston Smith lost even the ability to speak the truth. Never let the police or politicians tell you that 2+2=5. Never bow to a lie. Never let others lies be law above the truth. I do not know what words caused PC Laura Daily to react but, whatever it was, I believe the police should keep their noses out of policing thought, language, and expression, unless it libels a person or issues a direct threat to a named individual. There was a time when we were free, but now the tail wagging the dog is all powerful. Be careful but be prepared to act in favour of freedom
Such a hugely disturbing story this one. I sincerely hope she's able to sue everyone in Police Scotland who needs to be sued over this...and then some! I'd be happy, like many others, to contribute to a crowdfunder for her.
Why anyone voted for The SNP when they know they want Self ID, have included men in the meaning of 'women' (!!GRRRBIMBAMBOFFGRRRR!!), have a bloke running a rape centre, have Little Miss Mhairi spouting "but your toilet at home is gender neutral' whilst walking round in a T Shirt with 'you can pee next to me' on it, I've NO idea...and I've not even mentioned Humza 'AllWomenWILLObeyME' Yusuf yet.....

(Also, if I'm being overly honest: seeing this happen in Scotland, of all places, has really truly astonished me. The Scots are the absolute last people I'd have thought would sit by while police on a power trip threaten them and their freedom of speech and thought are taken away.)

Obviously I don't know what the tweet was and if it was GC or not but the idea of thought-police was supposed to be an Orwellian warning, not a recommended framework for actual police conduct. Blimey.
Surely all actual criminal activity has been so effectively managed since the police have time to bully people like this... No? Then get back to genuine police work instead of wasting police resources on the enforcement of a non-scientific ideology that’s funded by Big Pharma.

Seems very dubious police procedure to ring a citizen up with intimidating threats of arrest and incarceration without even specifying on what charge other than some fully banal empty accusation of homo and trans phobic tweets. The Harry Miller case demonstrated that these procedures usually are because of some busybody who has the luxury of being able to hide behind anonymity with nothing better to do than persecute anyone they discover on Twitter saying something they don't like, and usually completely non criminal. But just because it's been reported it has to be investigated and registered as non criminal hate episode. This police officer to me seems pretty incompetent or else she has an axe to grind.
The worst thing about this case, in my view? Police are targetting a woman with TWO AUTISTIC SONS, who is fighting 'for the safety and dignity of women and girls and for my vulnerable twinnies.'
She must know from maternal knowledge, in ways that others don't yet fully grasp, the several ways in which autistic kids are especially vulnerable to the pied piper of gender BS. The reasons why a whopping 35-40% of under-18s funneled to Tavi GIDS are on the autism spectrum (David Bell).
Damn them. All of them who push and enforce this monstrous crap. Can't believe this has happened to her.
I would also like to help this woman if I could. Orwell's 1984 immediately springs to mind, I agree with you Z3r0. We have hope that the madness is being exposed, then reports such as this sending us back into the abyss.
This really sounds like a stalking issue to me. It seems very personal, very vindictive, especially the threats to her potentially losing custody of her children. Whether it's Daly herself or someone using her as a proxy. Very frightening. If there's a need for a legal costs crowdfunder I'll support it.
