What a great critique. I always felt postmodernism was academic claptrap. Even Alan Sokal's hoax did not manage to budge that nonsense. However, I had not realised how damaging it was to lesbians even over 30 years ago.
As a scientist lecturing in the biology department, I've never liked this whole "two cultures" thing and people who look down on the humanities...but reading this makes me want to build a moat around our building! Seriously, WTF? How can this gumph be taken seriously? Ok, I can see how we all see things subjectively...but there is an objective reality common to all, and, within the limits of human language and understanding, there are fairly reliable and repeatable ways of describing it and predicting how things will behave. The entire way humans manipulate their environment is based on this.
On a less philosophical note, the author's experiences described here are just horrible. I really hope this organisation does well. I'm straight, so can't join, but will pass on to some lesbian friends who are all GC and not at all impressed with what's been going on.
I know it seems like bad intent. Intentions are everything. “Higher thinking” with dubious intent isn’t the truth and we ordinary mortals are calling it out. Bad intent equals bad!

I wonder how many of those cops or teachers or journalists or any other profession who end up doing the bidding of Stonewall, understand that they're taking their orders from a movement based on such ridiculous ideas?
This enrages me and makes my head hurt in equal measure, explains so well the circular reasoning and irrational thought processes that seem to be at the heart of The Church of Trans. I'll share this on my tik tok account, I've got some wonderful lesbian friends there who will be all over this in a heartbeat.
