Well, JK will no doubt prove capable of looking after herself yet again. But Fiona…..let’s all buy Fiona’s soap. I feel a bit of very early Christmas shopping coming on, and somebody in power will hopefully take up her case for discrimination. . I will donate to it when they do! .

Oh dear. Sorry to hear. I have received my soaps. I think your order must have been missed. She did get an absolute ton of orders at that time.

Youtube has been a relatively safe haven that allows different points of view, Graham is of course there as is Posie/KJK. Though I'm still not sure why they banned Exulansic earlier this year without prior content strikes.

Whatever evaluation they do, I'm personally satisfied that a convicted sex offender calling for mass killings is a very big no. And one that really shouldn't need much deliberation.

I don't know why Exulansic was suddenly disappeared and banned, but I question whether it was related to the detailed accounts and information she gives of the 'treatments' and procedures trans people, or people who once identified as trans, are subjected to. I'm referring to the possibility of pressure from the clinics and companies who make a lot of money from trans people.

Expand full comment

Exulansic was banned over drama with GC women about a person with a DSD. They were angry that she was 'attacking' an 'intersex' person, because we GCs should be on their side, but it turned out that the person was lying about the particular DSD they had (she claimed to have CAIS, but according to a book she'd released under an old name, she actually had PAIS). Therefore individual was incontrovertably masculinised from birth, and subseuqently transitioned in her youth, leading people to suspect she didn't have a DSD at all.

She may very well have a DSD, but the way she changed her backstory about her family and the discovery of the condition - plus an unrealistic story about the nature of her surgery made her look suspicious.

Maybe Exulansic went too hard on the person, but she was right. The person was born male, looked male and had feminization surgeries.

Expand full comment

Interesting, it's impossible to keep on top of everything and Exulansic's ban has been a bit of a mystery to me. Even now I'm not sure what to think of that, but the permanent ban is unusually harsh for Youtube.

Expand full comment

It probably is a combination of that and all the botched kids being offended that she has shone a light on them being, well, botched.

Expand full comment

That's my understanding. Only males can have CAIS/PAIS. Exulansic is extremely knowledgeable. I don't agree with all her views but I think it's important to shut down TRAs when they use DSD to blur the lines. They don't care about anyone's actual experience and only use various subgroups as fodder for their own agenda.

I see. Obviously, I didn't know anything about this. Thanks for the info.

Wow. Fiona is so articulate and so REASONABLE which is no doubt why they hate what she says so much. It's impossible to argue against.

“Gender affirming care’. Was there ever such a duplicitously dangerous 'transpeak' phrase? How can we possibly ‘affirm gender’ when there is no definition of ‘gender'? And ‘care’ is just an outright lie touted by ‘Rachel’ Levine who is completely abrograting his job as Health Secretary. Not only is he failing to provide proper guidance, he is actually steering children into medically dangerous ‘treatment’. This man belongs in jail. He is offering up children’s healthy bodies on the altar of ‘trans’ to affirm his choice to pretend to be a woman. These agp men are completely cowardly and dishonest. Nothing comes before their deluded fetish -- not even the children. Especially not the children. The children give them cover and credibility. Jail time and public service in payment for their ethical debt is the justice required for men like him -- men who are using their power to destroy young bodies and psyches.

Expand full comment

There will inevitably be a judgement against Levine and others who are contributing to the potentially permanent damage and distress of children and young people. There will be many American 20 somethings like Keira Bell in coming years. And others who continue to identify as trans, but whose bodies have been severely and irreversibly damaged by hormones and surgery.

Recently, I watched a lengthy YouTube interview with endocrinologist, William Malone. He talked about the risks associated with puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and different approaches to gender dysphoria. He refers to the number of people harmed by the kind of treatments Levine is recommending, eventually leading to widespread change and reckoning. I'm not sure where that will leave the esteemed paediatrician and four star admiral, but it should be a jail cell.

Hopefully Fiona will find another place to have her stall. My friend lives near Salisbury - I'll tell her about the soaps!

There was a very good community response to a very serious event in Salisbury a few years back. It became known worldwide and its pretty buildings. The centre was cordoned off and there were issues with how to help businesses survive if they couldn't have people - footfall - in the town centre. We have a problem in the UK with the death of high streets and how our town centres are changing.

So I am very pissed off with 'Andy' personally choosing to bar a local business like this as this goes directly against all the other projects, schemes and millions in funding trying to encourage us back and for people to be part of their local communities. To get out of cars, walk or use public transport if they can, meet and talk to others and be a physical part of their local places.

My friend gave me a tour of the places featured in that serious event!

I will tell her all about Fiona's shop.

"Transgender man who used strap-on penis to trick women into sex is jailed"

Really? I wonder if he wore it above or below his actual penis? Reminds of the news report of the "woman" who "exposed her manhood."

Convicted of three counts of assault by penetration, six counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of making a threat to kill but you must respect her pronouns, lest ye anger the Almighty Church Of Trans.

Expand full comment

if ever there were manly behaviour displayed, it's from this "Hannah".

Expand full comment

No actual penises were involved in the conduct of these crimes. It appears to be a woman pretending to be a man and using a strap-on to simulate heterosexual sex with women who believed he was a man.

If I read that right. Unless it's a man, who thinks he's a woman, pretending to be a man by using your mentioned additional fake penis strap-on to con women into sex? Just reading all that leaves me reeling with how feckin mad it all is. And to give the legal veneer to any of this was even madder.

It's like the tagline from the movie "Victor/Victoria" [1982]-- "a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman"-- except, you know... not funny.

If you had known as many lesbians as I have, you would not find this story unbelievable. Because of the societal attitude toward lesbians, many of them are self-hating, male-identified, substance abusers, etc.

It's just a bit clear to us all that anyone who doesn't, or refuses to conform to 1950s gender stereotypes and strictures must therefore be 'trans'. Therefore they will attempt to trans us all. And if not, we're right wing nuts.

And I am surprised no one has had a word with 'Andy' as he seems to be wielding his power to refuse access in a fairly suspect way. He's targeted her and her business. He's blocked her access to local community groups and spaces. What does the local authority think of this? I have known a few 'Transition' movement types and there's an overlap with the weirder 'green' and 'sustainability' people and those who see themselves as very liberal (but aren't). And that's mainly men like 'Andy' sadly. Those who see where funding goes should be looking very carefully at anything 'Andy' is involved with 'in the community' as he appears to be the one breaking the terms of (funding) agreements.

Doesnt the Maya Forstater case mean we can believe what we like and express our views without it affecting our employment?

Expand full comment

Andy isn't employing her to my knowledge. It's that he made a complaint and got her removed from a forum - having called her a bigot and transphobic. Then he chose to refuse her access to have a stall at the event (I'm not sure in which capacity he did that). By doing so and publicly he may affect her business, which seems a silly thing to attempt to do as she has not committed a crime or done anything other than disagree with him. He is throwing these terms around.

Expand full comment

Beyond employment, Equality Act 2010 includes membership of any association, an association being any group that has at least 25 members. So if they had more than 25 stallholders taking part in the event, Fiona's protected beliefs should have been respected.

And public sector equality duty leading from that. So who did they apply to or were given permission to hold the event in that location.

Expand full comment

Background, it's this post and the replies that brought this to my attention. An interesting discovery, there must be so many incidents of TRAs casually operating on the wrong side of equality law.

I can't believe that thread. It's the you're not allowed in our club no more so there that'll learn you attitudes that grate.

This keeps cropping up in women's cycling groups or rides, or community access rides. Not welcoming and exclusionary. 'Green' groups. Previously almost unexceptionable groups who believe in sustainable this and that. I know there have always been small 'p' politics and cliques but this seems to have turned those spats into something much nastier and they swiftly hop on the trans train.

Expand full comment

Yes. With a few caveats yes. There may be other or additional things that in the whole give a different skew. And the various judgments have been detailed (slightly more confusing at times) on what all these things mean in practice. And the law is a funny fish and it's up to someone risking speaking up, using their rights, risking a lot, having the resources to do all that and then go through a courts or tribunal process. Then people need to follow those judgments and apply them appropriately to their own processes.

This is changing a lot at the moment and it takes a while to filter through when organisations are still not doing this.

Maybe it would be worth contacting the Free Speech Union on this.
