Here are just a few of the good news stories from the gender beat this week. Enjoy!
See Yis In Court
The questionable legality of Scotland’s Gender Recognition Reform bill is still being highlighted in the press.
Firstly, The Herald published an article by legal expert, Professor Adam Tomkins, who believes “One way or the other, gender recognition will end up in court”.
“Scottish ministers did not do the smart thing: they ploughed ahead. Ideology won out, where it should have yielded to a more sober and pragmatic judgment... Yet again, the Supreme Court is likely to have to rule on a policy matter which really should have been resolved elsewhere. The Scottish ministers may live to regret their foolish decision to act in haste.”
Later in the week The Times reported “Westminster poised to intervene over gender bill assent”.
“UK ministers are willing in principle to take the unprecedented step of blocking a bill passed by Holyrood after receiving legal advice on Nicola Sturgeon’s contentious gender recognition reforms. Informed sources say that Rishi Sunak’s administration has the political appetite to intervene in the controversy over self-ID, opting for direct action to deny the Scottish parliament royal assent.”
(Don’t forget that you can urge the government to take action by emailing your MP.)
Barnes Storming
Hannah Barnes’ forthcoming book, Time to Think: The Inside Story of the Collapse of the Tavistock’s Gender Service for Children, hasn’t even been released yet and is already making waves.
Not only has it been included in the Financial Times ‘Books to read in 2023’ list, it has been listed as one of The Times’ ‘Best books of 2023’.
It will be published by Swift Press next month and can be pre-ordered now.
Glinner Of Hope
Don’t miss Our Graham on GB News talking about the ideological capture of the NHS.
As Mark Dolan says, “Make it your news year’s resolution to read the work of this fascinating man. Of course he’s a comic genius as well.”

Switzerland Sees Sense
In a landmark move, Switzerland has rejected gender identity ideology and deems that sex in binary.
Last month the Swiss government rejected the idea of introducing a third gender option or ‘no-gender’ option for official records. People must be registered and referred to as either male or female, with no exceptions.
Level Playing Field For West Virginia Schools
In West Virginia a federal judge has ruled that a state law passed in 2021 precludes trans-identified male students from playing on female sports teams in school athletics.
House Bill 3293, known as the Save Women’s Sports Bill, was challenged in the federal court by the mother of a trans-identified male pupil who wanted to join his school’s female athletics team.
However, US District Judge Joseph Goodwin has upheld the law and stated that it does prevent ‘transgender girls’ from participating in female school sports.
“A transgender girl is biologically male and, barring medical intervention, would undergo male puberty like other biological males… The state is permitted to legislate sports rules on this basis because sex, and the physical characteristics that flow from it, are substantially related to athletic performance and fairness in sports.”
Going Underground
Look at these wonderful signs spotted on London Underground trains!
Brava to the terf on the tube.
Thanks JL. I really need the Good News Supplement these days. Thanks to the person who placed those stickers on the tube too! And Thank God for Switzerland!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed the UKGov does intervene over the self-id crap in Scotland. This goes way beyond the constitutional fight that Sturgeon forced with the Supreme Court to try to win her pretendy-referendum. The very future of women and children’s rights and safety is at stake here. 💚🤍💜
