Great stuff, JL. Particularly glad to see the outbreak of common sense around confused children in the US.

A word of warning though. Keep an eye on the ScotNats’ consultation on conversion therapy. Their one on self-id attracted over 17,000 responses but only just over 200 were reported, and these from institutions mostly funded by the ScotGov! Mind you, Sturgeon did tell us all that our concerns were “not valid”, then up popped double rapist ‘Isla’ Bryson!

Really pleased to see some significant things happening, thanks JL. And I’m over the moon about Graham’s book. We need to spread the word and get it to the top of every chart. I’m thinking Christmas presents even for the nay sayers 😁

Is Graham very tall or is John very wee ?

As an aside , I cook for my mother and in return she gives me back the freezer dishes , I’ve just spent an hour sorting boxes to lids

Don’t tell me I don’t live the life 😂🤟

Graham is VERY tall. About 6' 5" I think. He's a fine figure of a strapping chap! (Though I'm tempted to say that John was just far away... 🤣)

Thanks as ever JL for putting a wide smile on so many faces, as you do week after week. I hadn’t seen the pic of Graham with John and like everyone else, I am over the moon that positivity is finally coming his way. Also, loved the Ted sign off, it never ever ages 😂

Good news that the 1million march for kids in Canada is going well. Bad news is the Hate Crime Act in Scotland is going to come into force next year. But maybe a load of mums and grans going to prison for 'm8s gendering' might peak a few people.

We shall see , I’ll peak more than a few

I noticed on Amazon that Graham's book and Roisin's album were listed as 'Frequently bought together'! I guess the TERFs are starting their Christmas shopping done early! 😂

Expand full comment

Yes have also ordered Glinner's book :)

Expand full comment

Well done to both hugely talented artists. Shame Roisin felt the need to apologise for speaking such heartfelt common sense.

Expand full comment

yes, her original comments were measured and fair- pointing out that big pharma profit from trans: didn't say she was ant-trans in any way. Still an online mob pile-on, so she back-tracked and grovelled- but I don't think she appeased them, so she ends up with kind of the worst of both worlds- she has lost respect from both sides. It seems other people just like the music tho, so maybe it doesn't matter, and even the BBC cancelling her etc, has not stopped the album getting to Number #2.-. TRAs imply that Roisin owes her success to the LGB(T) community (and where 'T' is a cuckoo in the nest)- err no, Moloko's 'Take It Back' was a huge club and mainstream hit, and established her.

Expand full comment

I was going to warn you that Roisin’s record label was planning to donate money from her album’s sales to trans charities (plausible, I thought, since she sadly caved and apologised). Nevertheless, thought it wise to fact-check the claim. Good thing I did, because according to Roisin that’s bollocks. She said on X “...they are not intending to donate proceeds from the record to charity. I checked!'' Phew!

Thanks, JL. After the previous 'war on women' I was getting seriously angry. This is cheering me up no end especially as those good news really show some institutional changes.

Good to see Canada is finally reacting.

And to Graham, doesn't need saying but.... 'good luck with the book'.

The Times had an article on the cancellation of Roisin Murphy and several comments were along the lines of: 'I didn't know who she is but I'm going to buy her record, in support'.

'Go woke, go broke' is becoming a truism but conversely it's beginning to pay off to fight the woke.

That's a good idea! I've felt a bit sorry for the more far-flung people - in the UK we get a discount for a signed copy, further away get a huge P&P bill!

Chad's happy to hear the book's doing well and wants to know when "he"'s getting "his" Scalextric from the proceeds.

Expand full comment

Also it's great to see Richard Ayoade speaking up in support of the GC side, but it did seem a bit weird him saying that cancellation/blacklisting rarely happened - I can think of like five or ten people just off the top of my head who've lost work or entire careers because they spoke out against gender ideology. It's sadly more common than people think. But then regular readers know this, JL's updated us on lots of them!

I do my best! 😊

That storyline was inspired by some dafty on 4chan who said Chad looks like him (they called me "Glinette" lol, we Celts do have a similar phenotype). I thought it was funny, and since my background's in improv, I "yes, and"-ed the fuck out of it, so now it's Days of Boyhood canon that Graham's Chad's dad. It's been a starting point to make jokes about trans children as social capital, cancel culture, the current state (the absolute state) of comedy, and Chad's entitlement, but that's where the whole "WHERE'S MY SCALEXTRIC, DAD?!" bit came from. No offence meant; not to him anyway, plenty of offence meant to the many people I take the piss out of in those episodes. Luv yaaaaaa. :DDD

Off topic here but given the recent media “investigation” and subsequent over reporting of the alleged behaviours of one comedian and his impact on 4 women (and his immediate guilty verdict and subsequent cancellation) I can’t help wondering why not one intrepid investigative team has done a job on the nasty underbelly of Stonewall and exposed the damage they have effected on our schools, institutions, NHS, corporations, councils HR departments everywhere etc etc - so millions of people being told what to think and say and the damage therein of this enforced ideology? Millions affected. Why not? There has to be a plethora of dodgy doings just waiting to be exposed. Stephen Nolan’s Report a few years ago touched on the power this “charity” was exerting in the public arena but if anything things have worsened. I would suggest it to the Times but I’m still on the naughty step for being a TERF that refuses to accept that it is possible to change sex. Since I stated that I have not been allowed to speak on their platform. It is clear that the moderators have been “Stonewallified”. So maybe not the Times then. Hard to find a TV company that is not totally captured. GB News? I live in hope.

Exactly , fear and money , how on earth have such a small minority been given so much power

I personally know of two trans ( which in itself is amazing )

( one done it for the benefits , much like the India twat , ) and the other because she was a confused child , who’s mother was a psychiatric nurse , go figure , she’s now not a she but neither is she a he , and now wants a baby !!

She’s got a dick ( can’t remember the name for it ) but still has all internal organs.
