As I have said before, but not here - I am convinced that we have all been asleep, and have woken up inside a Stephen King novel, but one that has not been published because it is too bizarre - even for King.
This is bad enough, but when I think that King seems to have collaborated with so-called gender luminaries (read: demented bores and irresponsible fuckwits) like Judith 'WTAF?' Butler, Katy 'Atheist Experience' Montgomerie and Layla 'Wendolene Ramsbottom' Moran then I think we have little hope.
Especially when you realise that King has never written a decent ending yet...
I am too. I'm severely limiting myself to what I have to read on this ideology (hence why I've not been around for a while).
I have the numbness around my neck as one would have reading a Stephen King novel or watching a horror movie. Have we all fallen into some black hole after all?
I am honestly finding it hard to grasp just how such a large group of people can seemingly turn their brains into useless mush in such a short space of time hence the King analogy.
We are seeing the exodus of a lot of young twenty-somethings fresh out of Universities and their far-left, 'Just be nice', sub- or pseudo-Marxist and liberal demands are holding sway, and have spread into most areas of the corporate world and even government (to a degree) and certainly most political parties of a left persuasion. It's happened in the US already (and Canada) and we are following suit, as I always expect us to, perhaps two years or so on.
One thing I would add is that it is somewhat dangerous to examine all that Twitter and SM has to offer on this subject, as it then seems to form a concentrated stream of ideological nonsense. And real life isn't quite like that. When we focus on a single issue like this - as I admit I have done - we should also realise that we are seeing ALL of the bad stuff in homogeneous mass of irrationality. While this ideology must be vanquished, for the sake of all logical, sensible, science-based people everywhere - and women especially - It is surely better to cast one's net wider for other subjects and news, else it becomes all-encompassing, and thus potentially damaging to one's own sensibilities and mental health. Something of which I should do more myself I admit!
I do not mean ignore it all, but I think stepping away periodically is a good thing.
Precisely. This is why I've been limiting my access. Or I'd go insane myself and probably start believing it all. Its the utter lack of acceptance of actual science that gets me.
Science: Climate Change - yes
Science: Vaccines - yes
(and I agree with both) BUT.
Science: 2 Sexes, immutable unchanging and real - Waaahhhh transphobic!!
To try and cheer you up, this is how a very dry-witted friend of mine responded to this week's War on Women:
"As an uncritical trans-advocate, the amount of things I have to ignore/disregard is getting truly overwhelming! I’m exhausted. Don’t know how the others keep up!"
Now I await Stephen King's personal letter to me explaining that it is in fact all one big joke, and that we are all indeed players in his new novel -
wherein a group of nasty creatures try to devour the world as time stands still and people sleepwalk into a new world of authoritarian control... entitled, 'The Transoliers'.
(And hopefully. the letter will have a good ending...)
I fear you may disappointed with the ending of that letter, Mole. I suspect it'll rattle on indefinitely, each time you think it's reaching a conclusion, there'll be yet another paragraph until, eventually, it'll just come to a juddering halt.
I also feel like I'm living in some sort of dystopian story. Possibly a hybrid of Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, The Handmaid's Tale and 1984. With a sprinkling of Fahrenheit 451.
I cling to my copy of The Female Eunuch for dear life and pray for deliverance....
These weekly updates show how this is a no-holds-barred war upon those who want to protect children and preserve sex-based rights for women! How, how are they winning??
Yes, I prefer the second suggestion...! I'm not leaving my local pub to any set of irrational, blue-haired wonders. They can get the **** off the planet... In fact, I'll pay for a ticket of two...
I am despondent. Again...

I just don't get it.

He made me laugh!
Good for him! And you!

I wish I knew. Every day I am astonished by what otherwise intelligent people can be brainwashed into believing.
Great letter in Irish times today. Irish times, in fairness, is belatedly giving an airing to gender critical views
Thank you, will have a look.
Fucking hell, can the sane people just get on a rocket ship with me and we'll fly to another planet to start over?
Can't we send the insane ones off into said rocket ship - 1 way ticket?
