Kemi Badenoch's delivery is so clear and confident, it's obvious that she believes what she's saying. I'd guess that the majority of other politicians believe it as well but they jump through hoops to avoid saying it. What a contrast with how shifty Starmer gets when he's asked questions on gender.
Sunak's take on age-appropriate sex education is very encouraging but whether or not he acts on it remains to be seen.
Though Malfoy senior is still doubling down and thinking that males can be women and anyone who questions this truth is transphobic. Clearly didn't learn anything after his time in Azkaban.

One thing I wanted to highlight re the Times article: I just don’t understand how otherwise sane people like Janice Turner can say “while a minority of male-born people truly need to transition to feel whole” as if this HAS to be true. No one (I hope) would say that “some people with bulimia need to have liposuction to feel whole” or “some people people with body integrity identity disorder need to have a limb chopped off or be paralysed to feel whole” (although insanely with the latter example apparently amputation has been recommended, — and not with good results).
I don’t see how the mental illness of thinking you’re the opposite sex is any different and so I don’t understand why we continue to push the ridiculous lie that this is the only mental illness where you affirm the delusion rather than treat it!
This is why I love Posie’s approach. She doesn’t entertain any of this bullshit and is the clearer better thinker (than these supposedly more intellectual types) for it. And she’d never use the mealy-mouthed phrase “male-born people”. Jeez! It’s just MEN! *sigh*
Hear hear. Though I would use the better analogy that some of those with anorexia (nervosa or bulimia) should be allowed to *starve* themselves and be helped by doctors to do so.
Not ONE person needs to be "treated" (socially or medically) as if they are the opposite sex. No surgeries or drugs should be allowed to do this. Its a waste of resources and it impacts the few NHS resources we DO have due to the long term, adverse health implications it will create.
Anyone saying they are the "opposite" or "no" sex is lying. And anyone supporting this in any form is aiding those lies. Which harms ALL society.
If society can accept, and allow and encourage the lie that the fundamental basis of ALL life on this planet doesn't exist (aka sex) and only one's perception does, then society is harmed.
“It's nonsensical. NOBODY transitions, there's no such thing, we stay the same sex just with bits lopped off or added on.” Exactly this! I don’t understand why this isn’t more obvious to people.
The Good News is what pulls me back from the Abyss. Thank you Graham! Without this I think I’d be totally despairing. What’s happening to Posy in the USA is evidence of just how dreadful that country has become. At least our current Government is pushing back. We still have hope.
It's just a different way of viewing Substack posts which has some added features (the Chat). These don't appear to work on Android devices yet - presumably they do on iOS (apple).
I think everything else will continue to work as normal - email and browser.
