I couldn’t read all of this. It was just way way too depressing. I find myself more and more being totally disgusted with the trans ideology. I’ve never felt that way before but the fact that they’re pushing their way into everything makes me furious. I am beginning to hate all of them.

Expand full comment

It's funny that the harder TRA push, the more militant my views have become in the opposite direction. Where once I might have had a live and let live attitude, I'm now, fuck no, you're all suffering from mental delusions.

They are batshit crazy. I guess I should be happy they advertise it so I can avoid them.

Good call. I've decided to skim it and come back when I feel able to. A thank you to JL again though - it's another astonishing digest and on current state of play. Have managed to smile at JL's rapier sharp wit and perfect way this is expressed like: "His tenuous arguments seem to be that some female players are tall and women’s bodies are too regulated and his team doesn’t even always win and not many girls want to play football anyway and something something transmisogyny and terfs... He singularly fails to address the two most important issues; safety and fairness. He does use the phrase ‘I want’ repeatedly, though. A blog of 1,218 words when just three would have sufficed; ‘me, me, me’." Can you imagine what a judge would say to that?

I mean, come on, shredded or what?! All they have is selfish waffle and distraction from facts. Who the hell is so Ed Davey level daft enough to even begin to attempt to defend that or any of this? Maybe the dye from his nice coloured blue coat collar has seeped into his brain. That photo of Davey made me want to retch. Ed whose been telling women to shush now, the men must speak for how long now? Is it dog years or Ferring years?

I was going to say something similar about the quality of JL's writing, especially that lucid and withering passage about the trans identified male football player. It’s the equal if not better of Spiked and Unherd's finest.

I can understand that, RB. I still haven't fully got over the sense of defeat I referred to a couple of weeks ago. The Good News Supplements don't have enough good news to balance the bad. I honestly haven't given up, but I'm having to come to terms with the fact that my righteous anger is indeed turning to something like hatred, and I really don't like that loss of objectivity. I am working on finding a new centre, a different ground from which to base myself, instead of being blown around by winds of rage. Comments such as yours, and other reliable commenters help a great deal. Thank you to everyone here ❤️❤️❤️

Agree. My hitherto tolerance for all, live and let live, empathy and understanding, has been worn away by these bullying ideologues. I’m angry and yes, I hate the people who are destroying the lives of people such as Graham. Hate them.

Expand full comment

Considering all of the MTFs I've known are creepy bastards with varying levels of narcissism and substance abuse, I don't think hating them for their sense of entitlement and drive for destruction of women's spaces and children's psyches and bodies is necessarily a bad thing. They started this. We will end it.

I hate the ideology that is so authoritarian and wants to have everybody agree with their lies.

Yes, and it's not really party biased or based now as so many of them, bar some notable exceptions, seem to spout easily disproved nonsense so easily. Some core issues and humanity crosses all old and current 'party' lines.

Its built on men’s innate sense that they deserve everything they want. Its a men’s comsumer rights movement. They’ve listened and bought all the lies that one can be whatever they want to be and have whatever they want. Its pathetic.

"Lorey that she had to refer ‘transgender women’ as female because Californian law requires it."

Oh, it USED to be until an appellate court in California called it "compelled speech" and therefore unconstitutional.

Amazing news line-up! Lisa Selin Davis (Broadview substack) and Leor Sapir (The Daily Signal) have already published corrections for the NY Times article on Jamie Reed, St. Louis whistleblower. What Reed outlines is clear medical malpractice. What the Times will never publish is an accurate accounting of the Ferring Pharma company, a Dutch manufacturer of puberty blockers. Ferring funded the "Dutch study" (DeVries, Martinius, et al, 2014) cited as the source of "affirmation" known as "The Dutch Protocols." Briefly: originally 70 subjects, all diagnosed with "dysphoria" but screened out if other mental health issues were present, 15 subjects left with no explanation or follow-up, of the 55, 2 died, one a suicide after "affirmation medical treatment" and one of sepsis post-"vaginoplasty" with intestine. Finally, the same surveys were used at the start, then after a few months, with huge red flags that only 33 of the 53 filled it out AND the natal males were given the one referencing periods and female characteristics while natal females were given the one for males, including a question about nighttime emissions. These details are from info published by Prof. Michael Biggs and testimony by Dr. Stephen B. Levine, link below to parts of his expert witness testimony.

So many stupid, foolish, willfully ignorant and dangerous people. My disbelief and anger grow daily. I am suffering from a most pernicious mental and psychic malaise that affects almost every waking moment. My dread for the world is intense, and so few truly get it. (I know that nobody on this platform thinks I'm crazy or a conspiracy theorist). We ALL feel it and see it. I honestly don't know how people like Graham and Kellie-Jay survive mentally. But I beg of you, please do, you are sorely needed.

They’re no such thing as ‘misgendering’. There’s only bullying of those who refuse to go along with the nonsense that men can become women.

As for the LibDems, anyone voting for them needs their head examined. Couldn’t read on, too depressing, but looking forward to the Good News edition!

Yup. But you must respect my fluffy, amorphous, almost indescribable manga jenga glitter soul! It's the law isn't it! If not, change the law!! Law means what I want now, right? If I stamp my foot hard enough? And women shut up, we all know that natural law. Apart from women who think they're men, they get to speak. So it's men and women who think they're men, and reject being women, glad we got that sorted! Phew.

So it's thinking you are and being men that accords you rights. Men can then choose to 'be' women. Why can't more see this?

Aghhh, thanks as ever for your hard work, JL.

Something needs to be done about the West Yorkshire Police, this is getting ridiculous.

Re Riley Gaines and the library, Pink News cited a Media Matters for America story which suggested Gaines’ reaction to an incident over the weekend at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library led to an alleged bomb threat on Monday. Riley responded by telling them to 'lawyer up.' I trust Riley will be taking legal action against P**ck News.

Roll on the GNS!!

Jack Turban was a co-author of a book on pediatric gender medicine while still a general psych resident (published in 2020) and was made Director of Psychiatry at UCSF within 2 months of finishing his Child Psych fellowship in 2022. This field is the Wild West where residents with very little clinical experience are considered the experts on how to treat kids with complex psychiatric issues. Ironically, he is also supposedly an expert on anorexia- another form of body dysmorphia with amazing parallels to gender dysphoria right down to the changes on brain scans.

In my head there's an interchangeable parade of words you can stick in front of 'dysphoria' as not many seem to see the core themes running through all this. Hardly any of us are arguing these individuals are not experiencing dysphoria. They and many of us clearly are, but it's being attributed to some new terms or quasi-psychiatric invention. Familial dysphoria, social structure dysphoria, economic dysphoria, inherited or expected dysphorias. Maturation dysphoria. Chronodysphoria. Unicorn dysphoria. Glitter dysphoria. There's a core group of self-appointed and self-invented experts all very keen on the self, but utilising the power of groups, communities and 'professional' accreditation. And demanding euphoria that comes with self-anything. I have intense glitter dysphoria and now insist anyone in my presence must be covered head to toe in lurid glowing pink glitter particles so I can achieve glitter euphoria.

It likely has to do with academic publishing in some ways. one cannot just leave things where they are. To get published one must have 'new' ideas or find an 'new' spin for old ones no matter how specious. The inability to simply let things just be is one of the reasons we can't have nice things.

Expand full comment

Guess where I worked. It's really very disturbing how many would say 'can you work up a brief' for or with me, or an idea for a co-authored paper or research. Then you have the older ones cribbing the work of younger academics so it's dog eat dog. So much is literal fluff, but if you analyse it the correct way others really do invite you to conferences. Groundbreaking! Innovative! Once you're behind those doors some get away with anything. Look at the academics squeezed out for wrongthink in recent years.

Some institutional departments are still excellent but others ride on their coattails and reputation.

Graham, sometimes I think we're taking one step forward and two back on all this trans ideology. Where I'm getting encouraged is that the more the "normal joe and jane" learn about this cult, the more they're peaked. As always, follow the money to find who's pushing this ideology.

Anyone see the propaganda on Coronation St Friday? Happy Pride Day said one character. It’s up there with Christmas as a National celebration it seems. “Full of Pride” said another character. Everyone totes excited to be going to “Pride”. 3 Drag queens in the Rovers Return, hideous and grotesque parodies of women “always welcome” according to the bar “person”. The pub decked out in pink and blue flags and other such shit. All before the water shed. Some might call it grooming. Indoctrination for sure.

We have turned into Moley world now - I have no idea when Pride day/week/month is. I thought I did, but then we are punished and cautioned to 'remember' we are/were/will be in/during/only within three months of 'Pride' so it's 365 days a year. And only supermarkets, DIY chains, the NHS and train companies seem to care about how vitally important it is to signal some corporate something.

OMG. It's all so depressing. Been thinking about the kneekerk dismissal "transphobe" to smear and silence anyone who dares to disagree with the automatic supremacy of trans-identified male demands over female needs: which of course must not even be voiced -- that's far too offensive to frail narcissistic male egos.

And I believe I've become a fully signed-up transphobe: not just a TERF. Except it's not "irrational fear" that I feel: but outrage, anger and disgust: maybe "bigot" would describe me better?

Just as outraged by powerful creeps like Ed Davey, as by the male fetishists whose "rights" to dismiss all female concerns he supports.

I would just call you sane and rational and that's why it's so difficult existing in today's upside down world. You know the king's naked and you're screaming to tell him but the cheering crowds are too loud to hear your voice.

Expand full comment

Thank you Ella. Of course that's what I think too: but now feeling so angered by reading the latest displays of misogynist narcissism, that it was tempting to explore if any more insulting labels fit, that could be reclaimed and turned around. But TERF still seems to be the only one.

I was phoned this morning by (if I heard right) an ex-deputy leader of the Green party apparently organising a Brighton & Hove election campaign for Sian Berry, as the new candidate to replace Caroline Lucas MP (who is stepping down) in Brighton Pavilion constituency.

And was torn between wanting to help get another Green MP elected (for a party I joined in 1985) -- but NOT wanting it to be London transactivist Sian Berry (whom I didn't vote for). And having already become quite disillusioned with Caroline on that score.

But living in the UK's LGBTQIA+ capital, it's probably impossible for a candidate of any party NOT to support gender madness. With already an aggressively transactivist MP in my own (Brighton Kemptown) constituency, I am so thoroughly sick of it all.

Expand full comment

I know that Brighton is a trans stronghold and you have my sympathies. I'm Canadian and all our politicians made sure to make this country trans compliance. PM Trudeau is probably the most woke head of state in the world and has recently allotted over 100 million to 'support' LGBTQ2S+ people including over 1 million to help hunt down transphobes. Muslims in Canada have recently started to protest the indoctrination of their children in our public schools and Trudeau came out and said that they were influenced by foreign white supremacists because of course, Canadian Muslims can't think for themselves. The positive outcome is that a nation-wide demonstration is planned for September 20 along the line of "Leave Our Kids Alone". I'm an atheist but I'll be there as well as many other Canadians who have had enough.

Expand full comment

That's all really shocking to hear: both the £100m government funding & especially the $1m to "hunt down transphobes" -- sounds like a real witch hunt!

It's extraordinary to me that Trudeau and politicians like him seem to have no knowledge or understanding of the fetishist origins of this deeply misogynist and homophobic movement, its conspiratorial spread, its repudiation of science, its, shameless exploitation of disturbed children, and the massive vested interests of its sponsors in the pharmaceutical industry: all masquerading as a "civil rights" movement. Or perhaps they DO know, and that makes it even worse.

I hope your nationwide "Leave Our Kids Alone" demonstration on 20 September has a really big turnout, and a big impact.

I lived in Montreal for six months in 1968 (before returning to the UK to finish a degree) and worked in a French-Canadian architects' office, where only French was spoken: quite a challenge having not spoken it since leaving school! French separatists were leaving bombs in letterboxes at the time. I regret not having seen a bit more of Canada while I was there.

There should be media reporting and TV documentaries about the large donations to his party from a drug company pushing puberty blockers.

On a more positive note, I'm in Edinburgh and everyone has been talking about how ludicrous it was for Graham's stand-up to be cancelled. Haven't spoken to anyone yet that thinks it was OK.
