THE TIMES SCOTLAND: A Scottish government minister has likened feminists defending their sex-based rights to racists and anti-Semites.
Lorna Slater is Co-leader of the Scottish Greens and MSP for Lothian. She joined Nicola Sturgeon’s government in 2021 as part of the co-operation deal with the SNP.
This week, in an interview with The Sunday Herald, she discussed proposed self ID laws being pushed through the Scottish parliament. Not only did she suggest that feminists who oppose such legislation have been funded by money ‘flooding in’ from right-wing American groups (a claim which, as Susan Dalgety points out, “Has no basis and is made in a deliberate effort to defame legitimate campaigners”), Slater then went on to liken opponents of self ID legislation to bigots and climate change deniers.
She called for feminist campaigners to be censored, saying, “We wouldn’t put balance on the question of racism or antisemitism, but we allow this fictional notion of balance when it comes to anti-trans [views]. The whole thing is disgusting”.
A joint statement, co-signed by Fair Play for Women, For Women Scotland, Women and Girls in Scotland, and Woman’s Place UK stated, “We are deeply dismayed at the recent comments made by [Ms Slater] likening us to racists, anti-Semites, and climate-change deniers… These remarks are no way to conduct a democratic debate on public policy… Ms Slater demeans the serious office she holds.”
On Monday Slater doubled-down on her position when she appeared on BBC Scotland’s The Nine.
Slater’s fellow co-leader of the Scottish Greens, Patrick Harvie, defended her comments and claimed there had been a ‘wild overreaction’ to them.
Similarly, despite numerous calls to launch an investigation into a possible breach of the Ministerial Code, the Scottish government issued a statement supporting Slater and trying to claim that she was ‘explicitly and solely referring to transphobes’.

A gay man was violently assaulted by trans rights activists during a protest in London.
On Sunday a protest was held in central London which called for the proposed LGB conversion therapy ban to include so-called ‘trans conversion therapy’. James, a gay man who fears for the safety of homosexual and gender non-conforming youngsters, was in attendance.
He held a placard which read ‘Transition IS conversion therapy for kids with Gender Dysphoria LGB without the T’. He stood apart from the crowd of protesters, remained quiet and only engaged in conversation if people approached him.
Several people walking past shouted or swore at him and others tried to grab his placard, one person tearing and defacing it. One man engaged James in conversation but, finding he wouldn’t be intimidated into backing down, began shouting at him.
Another man then tried to force James to leave & seized hold of the backpack on his shoulder. He dragged James across the pavement by the bag, trying to grab James’ body with his free hand. He then snatched James’ sign & pulled it down, hitting James across the head and knocking another man's phone out of his hand. Realising what he’d done, the attacker then fled the scene.
When James stood up again, he was set upon by a large group of protestors who shouted at him, grabbed his sign and tried to intimidate him into leaving. As James walked away, three of them followed him and tried to block his path. James approached nearby police officers to report this but the trio claimed that he’d assaulted one of them. James was then arrested, handcuffed and taken to Hammersmith police station.
He was detained for seven hours in total but was released without charge. He was magnanimous enough to say that “Police were great throughout arrest & at the station”.
He later tweeted, “Arrest was annoying (7 hours total) but it shows these people will lie to silence reality. They don't like it once they realise you are not prepared to be intimidated”.
Thank you for your courage, James. We stand with you.
In case you missed it, this same protest included activists like this one, making death threats against women who refuse to kowtow to the pronoun stasi. “DARLIN” - the tired old sexist language always gives them away.
And here is a heterosexual woman claiming to be a gay man and bragging about verbally abusing someone from the LGB Alliance. The homophobia is clear as day.

KUAM NEWS: Three female high school rugby players were injured during a match by a trans-identified male player on the opposing team.
This story from the Pacific island of Guam centres on a rugby match between two girls’ high school teams. Guam High School’s team includes a trans-identified male player who injured three female players from the Tiyan High School squad.
Conrad Kerber, the Tiyan head coach, spoke of ‘the aggressive nature that was witnessed’ and commented, “Body size, body strength, and the ability to apply force with that size and strength completely dominate any girl that I have on my team”.

EL ESPAÑOL: The University of Valencia has sacked its Head of Equality after she tweeted that the definition of the word ‘woman’ is ‘human adult female’.
Last June the Spanish government approved a draft bill to allow anyone over the age of 14 to legally change their sex without requiring any medical diagnosis or treatment. Feminist campaigner, Amparo Mañes, made her opposition to this so-called ‘trans law’ clear from the outset and she has, of course, frequently been accused of transphobia as a result.
On Sunday 10th April, Mañes tweeted that a woman is an adult human female. “It is not an exclusive definition, nor is it transphobic. It is descriptive.”
On Monday 11th April Mañes was summoned to a meeting with the Board of Directors at the University of Valencia where she is the Director of Equality. She was informed that she is to be replaced at the end of the month.
The university claims that her dismissal is not related to her social media activity or her opposition to the ‘trans law’.
Amparo Mañes has worked for the University of Valencia since 1975.

THE METRO: A trans identified male sex offender may avoid serving any prison time because of his gender ‘challenges’.
Andrew McNab is a former soldier who has 17 previous convictions for 22 offences. In 2011 he was convicted of sexually assaulting a pre-teenage schoolgirl. He now claims to ‘identify as a woman’ and has changed his name to Chloe Thompson.
Last year Thompson was in the news for multiple breaches of his notification requirements, on one occasion setting up a TikTok account without informing the authorities.
In February Thompson pleaded guilty to exposing his penis, using a sex toy and masturbating in public. He committed these acts in broad daylight and in view of members of the public, including three children.
When reporting on this story earlier in the year, both The Daily Record and Teesside Live described Thompson as a woman and referred to him with female pronouns. Like this week’s Metro article, both used the phrase ‘exposing her penis’.
Thompson was to have been sentenced on Tuesday at Teeside Magistrates Court but Judge Stephen Carroll deferred his decision. He asked the probation service to report on whether or not Thompson could abide by the conditions of a suspended sentence.
He said that although the ‘unpleasantness’ of the crimes meant a custodial sentence would normally be ‘inevitable’, he needed to consider the possibility of suspending the sentence because of the ‘challenges’ Thompson faces due to his ‘gender identity’.

A trans-identified male appeared in court over his aggressive and racist behaviour but his sex has been obfuscated in all the news reports of the incident.
Earlier this month, 49-year-old Trisha Clifton was travelling by train to Reading. When asked for his ticket, he began removing his clothing and then called passengers sitting nearby ‘terrorists’. A barrage of abuse followed during which he claimed to be in possession of handguns and ranted “Kill all Muslims” while gesturing as if holding a gun. In court he pleaded guilty to religiously aggravated behaviour and being in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order. He was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison.
This report in Berkshire Live refers to him as an ‘abusive woman’ and uses female pronouns throughout. Similar articles from The Reading Chronicle, Surrey Live and Greatest Hits Radio describe Clifton as a woman and make no mention of his sex.
In 2015 Trisha Clifton appeared before the Central London County Court in relation to ten breaches of a court order. Court documents describe how Clifton intimidated, abused and terrified residents at a local housing association.
In mitigation, Clifton told the court that he suffered with gender dysphoria. (It is the only indication of Clifton’s sex throughout the judgement document.)
In 2014 The Hackney Gazette reported on a 41-year-old Trisha Clifton who had been apprehended performing oral sex in public, sentenced to a 12-month community order and put into treatment for alcohol consumption. It seems highly likely that this is the same person, given the name age and MO. The article describes him as a woman and uses female pronouns throughout.
A report from The Powys County Times last year describes how a 48-year-old Trisha Clifton was served with a criminal behaviour order as a result of anti-social conduct, intoxication and numerous breaches of a community protection notice. Again, it seems highly likely this is the same Trisha Clifton as the one apprehended in Reading. And, again, the article makes no mention of Clifton’s sex.
For years, Clifton’s crimes - anti-social, threatening, abusive - have been recorded and reported on as having been committed by a woman. But they weren’t.

CAMDEN NEW JOURNAL: The female public toilets in Camden have been made mixed-sex and women now have to share their facilities with men.
Camden was the first London borough to install a public toilet for women. However, the council has made this very toilet ‘gender neutral’ following the closure of the male lavatories nearby. Women are now expected to share their facilities, which are isolated and subterranean, with men.
One woman told the paper about her experience of using this toilet. “They were smelly, horrible and intimidating… I didn’t feel safe in there, I would never have gone in if I wasn’t bursting. If one does feel threatened, it’s difficult to get out from underground.”
Camden Town councillor, Richard Cotton, said that when he’d raised this issue, he was told that the men’s toilets required urgent repair and the council were ‘trying to find money in the budget’ to pay for it.
You may recall that less than six months ago we reported on the ‘trans flag’ pedestrian crossings in Camden which had been installed despite several stakeholder groups raising serious concerns about them.
Looks like there was enough ‘money in the budget’ for that.

REDUXX: A sex offender who abused a 4-year-old girl has been transferred to a women’s prison even though he was denied ‘gender reassignment’.
In 2016 Levi McNeese was found guilty on two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child after he abused a four-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 8 years in imprisonment and incarcerated in the California Institution for Men.
In January 2021 legislation came into effect in California requiring the state to accommodate transgender inmates in prisons based not on their sex but on their ‘gender identity’. Documentation obtained by Reduxx shows that in June 2021 McNeese filed for a change of name and gender, claiming to identify as a woman and calling himself Laura Isabell. His application was denied.
Nevertheless, McNeese is currently imprisoned at the California Institution for Women. A spokesperson for the prison told Reduxx that a biological male did not need to have a formal change of gender in order to be accommodated in a women’s prison, and that the legislation relied solely on the completion of a gender identity questionnaire which can be requested by an inmate at any time during their sentence.

THE NEW YORK POST: Two women at New Jersey’s female prison are pregnant after having sex with trans identified male inmates.
The New Jersey Department of Corrections has confirmed that two female inmates at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility are pregnant following sexual liaisons with trans-identified males accommodated there. According to The Daily Mail, it is unclear if the women were impregnated by the same or different male inmates.
Edna Mahan currently houses 27 trans-identified male prisoners and (clearly) does not require them to have had or be undergoing reassignment surgery. The facility was forced to accept trans-identified male inmates last year thanks to the settlement in a lawsuit brought a trans prisoner and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
Under this settlement, not only are trans-identified males entitled to accommodation in the female estate, they can decide on their ‘gender identity’ at any point and have input into and be able to appeal all housing decisions. Furthermore, examinations to determine an inmate's genital status are prohibited and pat-down or strip searches of trans-identified males must be carried out by female officers.
Perry Cerf is a sadistic rapist and murderer with a long history of violence against women. He tortured and killed a woman he paid to sexually exploit then boasted about drinking her blood. He is currently incarcerated in the Edna Mahan women’s prison together with 800 female prisoners.
Saturday 16th April - Is Nothing Sacred?
THE HERALD: One of Scotland’s leading museums has been accused of using exhibits to promote gender identity ideology after ‘transing’ a Buddhist statue.
Glasgow’s Burrell Collection exhibits two porcelain figures of Guanyin, the Buddhist goddess of mercy, which are over 300 years old. The information which accompanies the exhibits describe the goddess as ‘a transgender icon’ and claims that “Trans people have always existed and are rooted in history”.
The goddess is labelled as ‘gender fluid’ because she was originally depicted as male and then later as female. This change was due to the cultural shifts occurring over a millennium and across an entire continent. It has nothing to do with ‘gender identity’.
Guanyin is the goddess of mercy and compassion. She was originally represented as the bodhisattva, Avalokiteśvara. In Buddhism, a bodhisattva is someone on the path to becoming a Buddha and, during the first millennia, all bodhisattva were depicted as male. Avalokiteśvara was represented in different ways across Asia and, throughout the second millennium, was gradually indigenized as a female deity called Guanyin by Buddhists in China.
In trying to claim that Guanyin is trans or ‘gender fluid’, not only is the Burrell Collection pushing a highly politicised agenda, it is distorting history. But it’s not the first museum to use a millennia year old deity to promote contemporary ideology.

REDUXX: Amazon is listing a newly released horror novel which depicts the brutal murders of gender critical feminists by trans-identified males.
We have written previously on this site about Amazon’s double standards. In 2020, for example, Amazon attempted to block the promotion of Abigail Shrier’s book, Irreversible Damage, and last year withdrew from sale Ryan T Anderson’s best-selling book, When Harry Became Sally, a critical examination of the transgender movement.
Now Amazon is listing Manhunt, a newly-released ‘LGBTQ horror’ novel authored by trans-identified male, Gretchen Felker-Martin.
The book is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and involves two trans-identified males hunting down and killing women described as ‘the knights of JK Rowling’ and ‘TERF soldiers’. The ‘Queen TERF’ militant leader is described with a reference to MichFest, the women-only music festival that was shut down by trans activists, and the death of JK Rowling is treated as a subject for entertainment.
Felker-Martin seems obsessed with JK Rowling, especially with ‘shutting her up’.
His novel features various sexual themes, such as leather-clad ‘TERFs’ being involved in sadomasochism and trans-identified males being ‘daddies’ to the female characters. One of the male protagonists becomes aroused while murdering a ‘TERF’ and there is a particularly disturbing scene towards the end of the book in which a black woman has her womb cut out while being verbally abused.
Felker-Martin clearly likes to write about sexual violence against women and, by his own admission, has never written anything that doesn’t feature ‘at least one rape scene’.
Yet women are called bigots and transphobes when we try to explain why we don’t want to share our intimate spaces with trans-identified males.
See you next week.
I’m torn between not wanting to be included in the same species as these disgusting bottom feeders, and cheering the fact that the more people know what is going on, the sooner it will be over. I remain, however, concerned about the huge amount of harm being done on the way to it being over.
It's the sheer stupidity and lack of any awareness that there is an experience other than your very personal one that totally gobsmacks me.
I, for example, have never been burgled, but I lock my house because, (guess what), while most people are decent and won't nick my stuff, some will. We can't run society just assuming that somehow men become uniquely virtuous just because they change their bloody pronouns!
Slater has discussed her own identity issues on Twitter, citing her autism as a barrier to fitting in. She felt she had to consciously learn to preform female, and felt it was judgemental and restrictive.
Here's a radical idea., Ms Slater. How about not reducing the sexes to stereotypes and performance. How about NOT expecting men or women to conform to a prescribed path, and express themselves as they want, dress as they want, but still remain the sex they are? So "feminine" males (still men), and "butch" females (still women). So no need for men to come in our loo's or don a one-piece swimsuit as they don't fit in the prescribed male box. They can finally be themselves, all under the umbrella of Manhood. I know you're fully bolted on the Transtrain, but there is a movement that (gasp) supports women in being themselves, and acting on their own choices not imposed ones. It begins with an "F".... but of course, you won't know anything about it.
