Who could have imagined - certainly not me - that a large group of left-leaning women and men would be cheering on a Tory in Parliament as many of us did when Badenoch spoke so well.

We would not, I think, also have been shouting at the computer screens in irritation and dismay when various MPs on the 'other side of the house' spoke so badly and used unpleasant rhetoric and discredit arguments against her position. That being the reasonable position of sense and logic.

Still, as they say, here we are.

Yes strange days for us abandoned lefties. Great image, Moley 🤣

Communist Party of Britain (and Alba and CPGB-ML) are still openly gender critical, just so you know... Not that I'm biased, being the women's officer for my CPB branch, but we are the original and the best Communist Party, and always recruiting!

eta: and we're the one with links to international communist parties that are much bigger and also generally GC. 包括中国共产党,一群很棒的小伙子...!

But yes, I'll take allies where I can get them (you don't grow your movement by not talking to the other side, after all), and Kemi Badenoch has been brilliant on this one.

If Kemi was leader of the Tories, I'd vote for them in a second, and I've never voted Tory in my life.

I would throughly recommend the book.

The tone of voice is just right - interesting and likeable.

Many thanks for these fantastic and significant pieces of news JL. It really does feel as if the gender juggernaut is beginning to slow, although there’s still a lot to do.

At least the era of no debate seems to be over thanks in part, to Kemi Badenoch who “blew the bloody doors off” as Michael Caine would say. She made the gender cult followers in the Commons look pretty stupid.

If we could just borrow her for a bit, stateside, at ground zero? Please? Promise we'll give her back once sanity is restored; shouldn't take longer than 20-30 years.

So heartening to read all this from faraway NZ because it will have an influence on the state of things here.

Isn't this just wonderful? Lady Haldane rules that UK were correct to put the section 35 as a stop to the over reach of the indoctrinated scottish government, women wont wheesht, for women scotland have worked long and hard for this so victory is sweet. Kemi badenoch is an amazing lady, every word was true inspite of the whinging from the Labour benches. However, she needs to act now before the general election so that women, children, and lgb are protected from the vicious ideology that is trans. Loved the house of Lords debate, those ladies and gentlemen understand how harmful this pernicious, unscientific, harmful ideology is. Hope graham's book sells like hotcakes in the US. The no debate era is over, but a lot of work is still to be done. Liz truss bill is a hopeful sign, but private members' bills are quite often not passed. But this GNS is delicious, thanks JL for Al, your work

Finished Tough Crowd last night - if you haven't already, get it! What some people, and Graham of course, have had to go through is just heartbreaking. They're brave, brave souls for standing up for what is right, and their bravery is contagious.

And go Kemi Badenoch, a force to be reckoned with 💪

I'm a Scottish independenista and I too am delighted to see the GR law struck down. At least 75% of the Scottish people reject the self ID madness. Love the shedding of the light Graham!

Thank you - fantastic news all round.

I'm thrilled at the Scottish Government's failure to bring back the GRR. I'm in Edinburgh and I've kept the long email replies from my local MSP Angus Roberton, telling me I was wrong, defending the GRR, and claiming that trans-identifying men did not pose any danger.

Yes I’ve got a load of twaddle from Humza Youssef and Chris Stephens . I’d be like to rub their noses in it.

😂 Reckon we've all the a roll call of the damned. Mine from the utterly captured Rona McKay and that patronising wee shit, Greer the Green.

Had a doorstep 'discussion' with Willie Rennie, introducing the new LibDem candidate.

Told them won't be voting for them and exactly why.

I'd like to think Scottish Labour must feel like dicks, but not putting money on it.

Meanwhile the SPS guidelines for trans prisoners changes nothing and Scottish doctors given leave to freely prescribe kids PBs.

The Scottish Government hates women and children.

Currently feeling deflated but we'll batter on.

Thanks JL, some fantastic news. We got to make sure labour know what we all want in our schools. I’m going to write to my mp today to express my support for Kemi. The trans lobbyists will not have stopped ringing the labour party to try to win them over. Come on labour step up or step aside.

Terrifyingly they’ve already won them over. Don’t believe a word they say about only updating the legislation. They will go full on Self ID but call it something else and they’ll bring in misgendering as a hate crime. Schools will be left to wallow in gender unless something is done urgently now. We need to mobilise as much parent opposition as possible in the time that’s left before the election.

i wrote to my ceo of the mat and he responded within about 30 mins. He’s a good man i believe. I’m

just going to spell it out to him

and the board. The tories are making good noises now but rhe schools have been crying out for guidance for about 10 years i believe. 10 years they’ve been silent on this.

You’re right, the Tories have been useless, they need to do something.

Totally agree - don't trust the Tories or any mainstream political party to do this and as a member of the Reform Party I can't hope noticing how good the Tories are at promising something and doing nothing - to say nothing of stealing Reform party ideas and then burying them - remember how Boris talked about getting rid of the BBC licence fee - then surprise surprise nothing happened Mark my words they are heavily captured too and I have a feeling that it will take a lot more to get gender ideology out of our schools. One of the problems I have with the UK population [and this is probably true of any country with a history of democratic freedom] is a rather naive belief that democracy and freedom of speech is a natural state of affairs and things will naturally revert back if they make a small protest. The reality is that it could take us years to get back what we have lost - particularly with regard to women and girls' rights People need to wake up before it's too late.

Expand full comment

Great comment and you’re right, we’ve taken democracy and free speech for granted and now they’re slipping away. As a lifelong leftie, the Brexit debate opened my eyes to what was happening and I’ll never trust labour again. They treated the voters like ignorant, bigoted, knuckle dragging plebs who didn’t know what they were voting for. Now they expect us to accept that they’ve changed, despite Stamers promise to bring in self ID a few months ago. He is a total creep.

hey Ms Terfin, i’m very excited, I’ve got my argument down really concise for round 2 with the school. I’d be able to make my point without needing to say that Sam smith is a nobhead. Gotch!

Great UK news. Kemi Badenoch is a tremendous speaker, regardless of how one views her politics.

Love the seasonal video of the Sugar Plum Fairy, what an incredible rendition.

I look forward to reading this good news every week. So many brave and amazing women over there. As an American, I am entirely jealous.

Expand full comment

And by this I don't mean that we don't have brave and amazing women in America. We do. But it sure seems like we don't have any in our government. I can't imagine having a Secretary of State (or whatever the equivalent is in America - seems like a different job there) who speaks as truly and clearly as Kemi Badenoch. What a help that would be.

Expand full comment

Yes, my senator, Patty Murray, is a big proponent of gender madness in the US. We do need a Kemi Badenoch!

Expand full comment

Kemi is a badass hero. So much going on in Westminster at the moment around this. But they must not lose momentum. Stonewall doesn't decide the laws of our country! Ass-whupping statement. Kemi for PM.

Expand full comment

What great news!! I’ve been a lefty all my life but the left has gone so far woke that they are actually laughable. Kemi was so right when she said all the left do is parrot crap from social media (my words not hers obvs 😆) I know you shouldn’t be a single topic voter but if the Conservatives are the only party to speak sense then I will vote for them and take the hit. This insidious ideology needs to be gone!

Expand full comment

Me too, but we do need action from the Tories rather than just words. Wish Kemi was leader.

Expand full comment

Love Kemi and I actually believe she is sincere - however I believe there are vested interests in the Tory party who support the trans agenda who will be trying to get rid of her. Look at what happened to Liz Truss when she was [briefly] PM.

Yep, for example Crispin Blunt who tried to sneak in self ID attached to another bill as advocated by the Dentons document. He’s at least resigning but there’s others.
