I just love to see Shona ‘rabbit in headlights’ Robison get a kicking. That she champions trans-identified male rapists and pedophiles over women is a disgrace.
Great articles in the Scotsman and the Scottish Times. The silence from Scottish politicians of all persuasions is deafening, but they can't stay quiet for ever. Incidentally, is Youssaf still going ahead with his appeal against the Westmnster Government to get the SNP's self-id up and running?
Thank you, as always for the good news supplement. There's a good article on the new vice-chancellor who, touch wood, is strongly pro freedom of speech
Thanks JL, love the up beat posts. Great to see stonewall lose another client. Always love hearing positive news about the wonderful and brilliant Kathleen Stock.
People doing the pronoun thing for Eddie Jizzard and Ham Smith must know they're making utter fools of themselves. They're the guests at the banquet complimenting the Emperor on his beautiful new clothes...
JL, would i have your permission to put a link to my silly cat song in the comments of the good news supplement? I am truly not offended or bothered in the least if you’d prefer me not to. I think justin canada pm wanted to make mis gendering a hate crime at one point, unbelievable. I suppose i’d like to show it for vanity’s sake to people who might think its a bit of fun. But very happy to leave it in the vault with all my other nonesense!
Oh yes! Please do! I'd be delighted. (It would actually help me out! I wanted to use it for this week's "And Finally..." but then couldn't find the link. Doh! So post in the GNS comments and I can use it another time!)
Alex Massie, in his article, says "it is true that for most people, most of the time, these clashes of rights will not arise". This is untrue. Once you allow men in women's spaces it effects every woman all the time, even if they never actually come across a man in their spaces. I'm from New Zealand and I will no longer allow my daughter to get changed in the women's just in case there is a man in there (which is happening over here). A one in a thousand chance of such an encounter is enough for her rights to be compromised.
Great to find some sensible students ( and dons) and at Oxford - great letter.
Alex Massie is right - often called the logic trap , famously fallen into by Ms Sturgeon...and also Mr Varadkar (Barbie Kardashian). Looks like they are to be joined by Ms Robison!!
I can’t even begin to articulate how much I admire and am grateful for Graham Linehan for speaking out and campaigning for women’s and children’s rights and safety. He is a true hero in my eyes. I love him to bits. If only I could shake his hand.
BRILLIANT article from unheard. We all stand with the Baroness and the tras attacking her are furious because she's not prepared to roll over and allow them to take women's rights from us. Well done to the Baroness. Thank you for posting x👏👍❤️
The police may have left Stonewall but they still have their training embedded in their minds. It'll take a while for that to shift. Without the SW targets to meet though we should see a definite improvement.
thanks JL i got a bit involved and ranty again in my recent post so i’ll leave the cat thing today. Just had the most wonderful morning running whilst my little girl cycled- followed by a bit of splish splash at the swimming pool! Just shared a bag of spicy coated in that crispy fat stuff peanuts. Good times. enjoy the sun.
Well that sounds like a lovely morning! 😊 (I'm very jealous of of your spicy coated peanuts! I could inhale a family sized pack of those in seconds flat! 😋) I'm afraid I do not enjoy the sun at all and never have done. Hate this weather! It makes me scarlet-faced and listless! You'll find me skulking indoors anywhere there's air-con until about mid-September!
Wow! What's wrong with our politicians? They're content to sacrifice women, kids and vulnerable people on the altar of self-id. What is it gong to take for them to wake up?
I'm wary of DeSantis and the rest of the religiously motivated US conversatives. Unfortunately it's coming through as a package that anything other than the nuclear family (with a heterosexual couple parenting in stereotypically sexist roles) is forbidden. So while it's great that he's stopping children from making irreversible decisions about their bodies, it's at the expense of gay people and also women's rights to abortion. The BBC press has been running a string of articles (focused on the US) teaming "don't say gay" with gender identity belief and highlighting how discriminatory it is. I don't think it's an accident - I think it's journalistic bias in the run up to the debate on 12th June. There is no balance offered whatsoever to say that the UK is not teaming these together. Plus there are lots of other biased influences coming through (reporting on Baroness Falkner, no reporting on Childline). I think it's time to put some distance between UK gender critical people and DeSantis and others like him.

As always 🌹
The tide is slowly but surely turning
I think so, Petal. I really do.

Yes we could do with an update on that. Anyone?
Yes as far as I’m aware yousless is going ahead with it

I wasn’t sure of the etiquette of such things regarding links and the like.

Great interview by Heather B with Graham.
Loved the cats as ever

Thanks, Dusty!

Ever grateful for Graham keeping up my spirits. And for the amusing comments.
Sorry, some bad news on the way with Baroness Falkner being harassed by some bully within the EHRC. It's reported in The Times but you can also read it on Unherd https://unherd.com/thepost/baroness-falkner-is-right-to-stand-up-to-gender-ideology/
Also, worth repeating (and repealing) https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/628382
if you've not done so, this is the petition to repeal the GRA 2004

oh poor JL. Well find a nice cool space and take your computer so you can keep making us all either really happy or angry.
Hi JL
You may enjoy my own cat making a guest appearance in my latest post :)

They''ll all come crawling back when he's being recognised and hailed as the hero we all know he is. And I hope he tells 'em where to shove it.
He's so far down the rabbit hole, there's no turning back.
Another contribution from Ferring Pharmaceuticals to Lib Dems funds secured that answer!
When was that question asked? Before or after the Miller case? I think someone needs to ask Ed again. I wonder what he'd say? ;)
It was today!

In a jar, on a shelf, next to his balls.
I hope someone asks him if he would date and have relations with a woman who has a penis if he were single. And if not, why not?
