Notice " Katie " Montgomerie tweeted " all billionaires are evil ". Does that include the billionaires funding this " movement " ??πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

Rowling has famously made herself a billionaire by her own efforts - and then made herself a millionaire by her charitable giving.

Expand full comment

Indeed and their money is made by mutilating people.

He's a fucking degenerate piece of crap. She's not even a billionaire - keeps giving her money away so doesn't hold the status for long, bc charity. ;)

The thee trans "activists" (πŸ™„) were so overwhelmed by the hate mail they received they "forgot" to screenshot the evidence.

Expand full comment

Yes, why is no one demanding evidence of their abuse? Screenshot or it didn’t happen. And if it had, I bet your bottom dollar they wouldn’t plastered it all over social media.

And why are they so disbelieving JK hasn’t received threats? We all saw the heinous abuse she received on Twitter. And the screenshots are archived by many.

Gaslighting at its best.

Expand full comment

They seem to be trying to claim that "JKR the Twitter account" is an entirely separate entity from "JKR the person". So how do you threaten the latter if not through the former? (Apart from landing outside her front gate, of course) 🀑

Expand full comment

Is it the front gate of JK Rowling, the living breathing woman, and her children & husband? OR is it a front gate of a twitter account? Wouldn’t that be at TWitter HQ?

Expand full comment

Help, help, cognitive dissonances! I thought Twitter HQ was hamsters in a room under the White House.

It's weird like the defence a three-year-old caught drawing on a wall would use. To split the embodied self from a famous person's public image, 'brand' and their art, then the platform or means of communication they choose. The real fear, the real pain, the real damage, versus their trans imagined suffering soul and the imagined threats they face. Real World vs Online and how they crossed over to real life and real consequences. The naivety to believe anyone would believe their tall tales. They have no theory of mind to appreciate others won't see reality like they pretend it is. They double down and have no way to stop, like a sugar rush. Then they get violent as they 'feel' unheard and 'unsafe' with all the screaming they do to drown out other voices.

So a glittery dragon (let's call it Stone Wally) flew in through that window a tenth of the size the dragon is, then picked up a small pen with its huge claws and drew over that wall drawing the pictures you like to draw did it? Then it flew off leaving no trace. Right ok, as you were. And you in fact have saved the world and we should reward you for being brave? By letting you, I mean the 'dragon' draw on more walls and cheer you, 'it', on. Sure. And some indulgent parents (like Govts or Unis or businesses like John Lewis's ad agencies) are letting them get away with and encouraging this.

And if there was any abuse (doubtful) you can guarantee it wasn't transphobic in nature.

I never thought that I would be praising the Times as much as I have lately for its coverage of this subject.

Sense from the rightwing press and utterly dangerous lunacy from the leftist publications. (My natural 'side' of the political spectrum)

We really are in Clown World.

Same here Moley. I'm a lifelong leftie. Until a few years ago I was a member of the Labour Party and reader of The Guardian. Now I'm cheering on Tory peers and subscribing to The Times. Strange days indeed.

I've even stopped hating the Daily Mail! Their Jo Phoenix interview is very sympathetic. I now bristle at any mention of the Guardian which I'd been buying since 1981. It's a world turned upside down.

Don't start me off the on the G, please! I cannot even bear to type its full name - as you can see!

My former paper of choice, as was yours, I see.

The decline - from my perspective - started with it's cowardly, disgracefully confused approach to the Charlie Hedbo massacre. As in, 'Yes, gunning down writers and cartoonists in cold blood by Islamists is bad.... BUT....'

There. Is. No. But.

At the same time as they were publishing several articles criticising CH for the cartoons and essentially claiming the CH people were 'asking for it' by utilising their right to Free Speech - IN FRANCE - the G offered a small metal lapel pin - of a red, white and blue pencil - 'in solidarity' for sale. (All proceeds, etc, etc). I know, I bought one! I soon realised their disgusting hypocrisy in this matter.

Then, soon after the gender bullshit began. This is not a 'left' that I want anything to do with. A science-denying, reality-avoiding, 'be nice above all else', Clown World.

Anyway as I say... Don't start me off. (For your sakes AND mine!)

Oh yes, they were not alone, for sure - but this was my 'paper of choice' so I felt it more keenly than anything else. A betrayal, if you like....

They were so much 'pro-Islam' for a year or so that I used to call it the Islamic Times. (I well remember a certain leftist 'comic' F. Boyle extolling the virtues of this 'peaceful, noble religion' in its very pages.) There were many pro-hijab articles (at least one written by a hijab-wearing woman (her name escapes me at this moment) columnist living very nicely in... California) in the G, all saying how 'empowering' she and other columnists felt wearing a head and face-covering was! It's a feminist choice! A woman's empowering choice!

Yep. In dangerous, sunny California... I desperately wanted that writing to be read out in a town square in Iran, for example. So far removed from reality, it is embarrassing and insulting to the women who are forced to cover up each and every day.

Apologies for going on... I did warn everyone!

Sounds like we were seething at the same kinds of hypocrisies. Still are, only new ones have joined the ongoing old ones. And there continues the same cultural self-harm of silencing critical analysis and preventing reparative action through labelling even the mildest of questionings or actions '-phobic'.

All of these stories show how unimaginably cruel and misogynistic this " ideology " is. Their agenda is totally disgraceful on every level and we need to call it out more publicly !! All parents should withdraw their daughters from girl guiding forthwith and let it sink into the sewer it's made for itself and ,I know it's hard , but all sportswomen should boycott all sporting events until sports authorities ,including the IOC ,start to see sense. Charities who support TQ should suffer a loss of donations from ordinary people as well. ( I've already withdrawn my support from 2 ). Hard to believe Governments etc support this. Won't be voting for any " woke " parties in the future either !! Thanks very much ,JL ,for keeping us informed of all this ,horrifying though it is !

That article and headline from LGBTQ nation is fucking low. What a bunch of hideous ghouls to purposely overlook the VERY obvious and dangerous downsides to self ID in a prison setting. All to suit their own agenda. How many more women have to be raped, abused and compromised before you admit maybe you’re not on the right side of history after all? Gross.

They make it quite clear that they think women are trash and women in prison are even more disposable trash. This is, unfortunately, the outlook of many men and some women.

Not an easy one, sites such as politiwoops have to actively monitor a list of accounts to spot what's been deleted. With Girlguiding, it'll come down to someone having a screenshot of something that's been deleted. Or of course a journalist could ask them.

Once again, after reading the Survivors' Network response to the rape victim, women must start again afresh, creating rape crisis centers and services, domestic violence shelters, abortion rights network (U.S.), etc. This was done in the 1970s with no government funds, though I imagine some generous women supported them financially. If I were younger and lived in a populated area, this is what I would working on.

Regarding girls unwilling to use the facilities at their school, it was shown years ago that teachers were more willing to let boys out of class to use the toilet than they were girls, and the consequences for forcing females to hold their urine is urinary tract infections. I would consider in this case that the school district is responsible for causing ill-health in female students. As one ages, one wonders if human beings can get any stupider, and the answer is yes.
