The main issue is that trans lobbies quietly and sneakily got laws changed and installed henchmen/women in teaching, healthcare, charities, HR departments and at the top of corporations while we were looking the other way in the early 2000's. We have so much work to do to unpick everything and it's going to take time. Every battle won counts though and each good news supplement proves we're getting there. My forte is annoying people by tying them up in knots until they show their true character so I can share far and wide. Every little bit of awareness raised is helping peak others. I'm in awe of anyone who has a public voice and uses it, without these brave people, we wouldn't be getting far at all. Kudos to Graham!

Yes, I was taken aback by how insidious this can be. I decided to listen to the BBC again today and was clonked over the head listening to something and was so confused I had to check in the listings. Short Cuts, on at 15.00 on BBC Radio 4. Series 37, called 'Instructions'. Used to be sometimes light, eccentric but sometimes interesting fluff. Apparently in this series, Josie Long presents short documentaries based around instructions. Hm ok. As I checked in the programme notes it only says 'How To Look 30 When You're 30 Produced by Jesse Lawson' which I think is what I was listening to. There were four topics and that was the last of four. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001vcfw

But no, it wasn’t. It took me a while as I was listening but it’s more of this normalising be nice isn’t trans lovely shite. It seemed to be two giggling women, then another 'expert trans' woman (? I was stopping listening) with a weird teen boy hormonal voice on ‘how to be trans’ with the usual tripe trotted out, fight against bigotry, being their true selves, trans panic, fear for children etc. It was a mish mash of who knows what. This one woman referred to being excluded and ‘trans’ elders. And how to ‘look’ like a 30-year-old man when you are actually a 30-year-old woman. Oh, yeah, you need my full support to do that, yeah sure. And useful resources for trans people made by trans people. It was the usual stock Stonewall Mermaids type propaganda.

I stopped listening and went to check what I'd been listening to. No, dysphoria has always been with us, but this ‘gender’ dysphoria is actively encouraged, yes ratcheted up since early 2000s and we are telling, teaching and influencing girls they can be boys when the plain old fact is, that they might not wish to hear, that they can’t and never can be. No mention of the harm being wreaked. You take hormones, can try to grow facial hair, shave that and have a hysterectomy and mastectomy, but WTAF. Rather than address that major harm, we are now expected to pander to a delusion and encourage and fund body and hormone modification and irreversible damage.

The most puzzling thing of all for me is even though they know young people's lives are being ruined by the cross sex hormones and surgeries - neither of which can be reversed to any real extent if at all, plus the fact they know full well the darker side of trans is targeting children sexually - yet they double down. They ignore judgements like Maya Forstater's and still persecute employees, they know they're gaslighting but step it up, they clearly know this hellscape relies on lying but they deny that - and so much more besides. The constant bombardment is relentless and it gets pushed harder every day. Men are saying they're still going to use women's facilities and "what are you going to do about it lol" (that's an actual quote). I really fear for women's safety on top of the safety of children. No law in this land will stop men using our spaces and that is terrifying.

Well put. You really got me thinking. I don't understand it either but I balance an attempt at personally accepting that this happens and that I have to witness this and can do little about 'it' and harm more widely. What happens after that knowledge is gained and amongst those who have the power and ability to make change. What do we do? Do we have any power? This reflects my personal and professional response.

I have to believe I can act and can change things, as otherwise it is too tempting to be too depressed, to feel hopeless, to think I can't, then, ah well, shrug, and subtly convince yourself that someone else must or can or should do it, it's nothing to do with me, or any other justification, legitimate or not, for inaction or action. It's feels like we're in this stage now and where people know, there is awareness and yet on it rolls. It's a really common feeling I pick up from others who have faced trauma and life-changing events from within or as witnesses. It leaves you with the inability to look away. It's often referred to as 'peaking' about this style of gender activism and when you see the harm there is this very strong desire to prevent it. It's akin to discovering like all the previous national scandals where opportunities to stop them were overlooked, then hidden, then all that litigated, teased out at Inquiries and in court cases assessing compensation decades later. When things eventually get to formal processes of justice.

It's a suspension of belief. It's hard to describe but the ability some people (including me) have to live surrounded by chaos and 'get on' with normal, usual daily activities I think is also part of this ability to self-delude. We all do to some extent. We are all worn down to accept lower standards and bad things happening. Some shrug that it's inevitable, then we get stuck in arguments over how and when to act. Who gets to assign blame. How much we care. That has its benefits and negatives. You can get through horror and keep that internal part of yourself safe and resilient enough to survive, but there's also this uncanny ability we can have to ignore the obvious, walk by things that we agree 'someone' needs to intervene in, yet that someone is always someone else. These collective delusions we can all sit in, some more aware than others. Then there are the endless reasonings people are happy to go through which delays change. We wait for 'the law' and 'society' and 'the state' (the Institutions we put trust in) and have a belief that neglect and abuse can't be happening when it clearly is. Large and powerful institutions can justify anything, despite knowing the harm and using process justifications to do nothing. Then parties point figures. We also seem to struggle with what is individual or community responsibility now, the excuses I hear are increasingly bizarre and frustrating. It's why we reach for historical parallels for how bad things happen and who knew and could have stopped things.

What I find tough is that often a situation is brought to the attention of others (by me, others, regulators, children, whistleblowers, the legal system, stats, governments etc) as being wrong and harmful and it takes years and decades to address. Collective will is needed to change things. Many don't survive that. Then those remaining yet harmed are left to figure out how to heal by themselves as others rapidly slip back into the safe 'nothing to see here' mode and move on to the next thing.

If you blinked you may have missed it, but producer Bryan Fuller posted an excerpt from Graham's interview at Triggernometry. In no time, trans crazies dropped in to tell him to remove the post, cruelly mischaracterizing Graham's stated positions, of course. The post disappeared. But I think more and more people are side eyeing the trans lobby, their tactics, and finally realizing the depth and depravity behind their lies.

I hope so! It’s excruciating to see how seriously a “complaint” from a screeching trans crazy is taken and how none of their claims are scrutinised before being accepted. It’s like they say “jump” and the world says “how high?” How did the world become so stupid to allow this massive trick to be played on it?! I feel a quote from The Usual Suspects coming on ...

Let's hope Michael Shellenberger's investigative report, THE WPATH FILES, comes out soon. The messages the "gender" doctors are writing to each other about patients with Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly multiple personality disorder) and Tourette's-like tic syndrome, and how common it is among "trans" patients, though they "have a secure trans identity!" The use of wrong pronouns makes it so much more jumbled. If they used my phrase from The Heggen Lexicon, cross-sex ideation, the psychiatric illness would come into focus. My slowed down reading of these doctor messages and analysis of the woo:

I’ve been doing my annual charity giving and in checking out environmental charities, I found that there are hardly any that do not bow down to the trans lobby! I was really surprised when I looked at the Center for Biological Diversity to see how much they cater to the trans community , and the Union of Concerned Scientists have gone totally bonkers on that as well! They should change their name to the “ Union of Voodoo scientists” . A long article whines about the fact that “ trans scientists” drop out ofSTEM ! Maybe believing that men can become pregnant is not exactly in alignment with real science ?

For those wanting to give to environmental groups , I found Rainforest Alliance to be free of the “trans pollution.” Maybe there are some others .

You are so right. Two of my daughters have been regular donors to a charity for welfare and education of girls for the lady 25 years. When this charity started talking about gender issues the daughters questioned what this had to do with girls in poor countries trying to get educated out of poverty they got the usual non answers. Result was an end to contributions and research into which charities do what it says transparently on the tin.

I would love to have a list of charities who are getting derailed on the trans issue charities like animal protection ones that claims that LGBTQIA +++++is part of their mission,! World AnimalProtection is one of the worst. Union of Concerned Scientists has gone really bonkers.Alliance for Global Justice has jumped on the Woke bandwagon , as has Center for biological Diversity. it’s really hard to find a charity that does only what it is supposed to do ! who wants to give their money to the trans ideology?

Expand full comment

As soon as any organisation or company employs someone for DEI (diversity, equality and inclusivity) they are a lost cause. The purpose of these people is to upend reality and fill the place with resentment. It would be a shorter list to say who doesn’t have these phonies in their workplace.

Please all take a look at Wings over Scotland’s article ‘First Do No Harm’ demolishing the nonsense that is the SNP/Green justification for banning conversion therapy. This is the next big battleground in Scotland, just as we were relaxing after the GRR bill debacle! Once again, women won’t wheesht.

It's worth reading the detail of the Tribunal judgement in Rachel's case. There are some very interesting points, for example that an accusation of 'transphobia' may amount to harassment.

There's a very good summary on her solicitors website with a link to the full judgement at the end.

Ooh, thanks as ever, JL, dragging us up from the horror stories!

What a result for wonderful Rachel Meade but what a process she had to go through to get there! Hope the damages award is massive! The other side are also going through a process and the bigger the award the more careful they might be in the future (?). There are all their costs they have to pay to their lawyers and staff time etc etc. I think these legal cases are so important!

I think it is really important that Joanna Cheery has been made chair of the Human Rights Committee - the chair can have such a pivotal role!

For more cheering up I just featured Tyler Fischer doing Jordan Peterson Goes Woke 🤣

Why is that the trans warriors never carry placards with "Kill Ricky Gervais" on it. I mean JK is merely standing up for women's rights and has never said anything transphobic yet Ricky absolutely rips trans people to shreds. I can't believe it's as simple as one is a man the other a woman and they're all misogynists.

Expand full comment

You know I'm sure misogyny plays a part but I think they are also upset that JKR has always been so respectful and reasonable in her comments - it doesnt play into their narrative that anyone questions them is a hateful bigot. I think Graham experienced the same reaction. They can deal with abuse but not reasonable questions as their whole ideology falls apart at the slightest scrutiny.

I think exactly this JKR never rises but conducts herself with dignity and is an easy target but if they go after Rickie he will continue to tear them to shreds

I would not use the cult word of the trans community, “transphobic” ! There really is no such thing. You either believe in reality , or you believe the trans idiocy. “Transphobic “ is a word made up to lord it over ordinary people who know that nobody is “ born in the wrong body” ...that’s crazy! Or people who know that babies’ sex is observed , not “ assigned” .....doctors and all people with eyes can tell the sex of a baby...even the little brother or sister can tell! Or else they’re not doing their homework.

Expand full comment

The continued success of JKR and the decline of Bud Light makes it clear that while the trans make a lot of noise they dont have lot of support in the general population. They can only bring people down with the support of powerful allies such as the BBC. This is one of the problems with the internet that relatively small pressure groups can appear to be representing mainstream opinion when they dont.
