Monday 9th December - Men Make the Best Women
A man has won the Best Actress award at the European Film Awards.
52-year-old Spanish actor, Karla Sofía Gascón, is a trans-identified male who ‘transitioned’ in his late 40s and, until recently, was known as Carlos Gascón. He is married to Marisa Gutiérrez and he has fathered a daughter.
For his performance as a trans character in the musical, Emilia Pérez, Gascón has won a prestigious film industry award supposedly intended for a female actor. He lifted the Best Actress trophy at the European Film Awards this week. Furthermore, he has been nominated for a much-coveted Golden Globe award. In the Best Actress category, of course.
This is not the first time either. In the past year, he has scooped an award at Elle’s Women in Hollywood Celebration, he won the International Actress trophy at Glamour Spain’s Women of the Year Awards and he was named Global Breakout Actress of the Year at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival.
In May this year, Gascón won the coveted Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. Taking to the Cannes stage, Gascón dedicated his win to ‘all the trans people who are suffering every fucking day with the hate’. “They denigrate us, how they denigrate us”, he said, while accepting yet another highly prized award that should have gone to a woman.
Tuesday 10th December - The Ones You Most Expect
BBC NEWS: The CEO and the chief operating officer of Pink News have been accused of sexual misconduct and misogynistic behaviour in the workplace.
As you must surely be aware, Pink News bills itself as an LGBTQ+ publication but, in recent years, has become renowned for its fanatical exhortation of gender ideology. It is vicious in its attacks on those who oppose the trans cult and, as such, has published innumerable spiteful hit pieces on JK Rowling and our very own Graham Linehan.
This week the BBC reported on allegations levelled against the two men at the Pink News helm. Founder and CEO, Benjamin Cohen, is married to former GP, Antony James, the chief operating officer. As reported this week by the BBC, 33 current and former Pink News staff members have accused Cohen and James of bullying, sexual misconduct and fuelling an atmosphere of misogyny.
Five former employees reported that, during a staff party, Anthony James groped and kissed a young male employee who was too drunk to consent. One former staff member told the BBC that Benjamin Cohen had propositioned him and another told the BBC that Cohen had slapped him on the bottom in front of his colleagues. Other employees spoke of the bullying and toxic atmosphere in the Pink News office, stating that Cohen had shouted at and belittled them.
Some staff members told the BBC they had witnessed misogynistic behaviour at Pink News. Several people said Cohen and James would ask young, female employees to act as a surrogate for them. One anonymous staff member said this behaviour was ‘part and parcel’ of how misogynistic Pink News is.
Sometimes it’s the one you most expect.

TIMES OF INDIA: A trans-identified male has been convicted of raping a little girl after claiming to be ‘female by birth’ to avoid prosecution.
In March 2022, a trans-identified man in his 30s, Farin Kinar, raped an eight year-old girl in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. The child had been visiting Kinar’s aunt but he lead her away and took her to his own house where he brutally raped her. When the little girl finally returned home to her mother, she was bleeding very badly and had to be hospitalised. When speaking with police, the child revealed that Kinar had threatened her to stay silent about what he’d done to her.
In Jun 2022, Kinar was arrested on charges of the rape on a woman less than 12 years of age and criminal intimidation.
In August 2023, Kinar’s defence lawyer filed a petition with the court stating that the accused “Belongs to a transgender background and wears women's clothing and lives like a woman”. Furthermore, Kinar made a statement claiming that he is ‘female transgender by birth’ and so could not be guilty of rape. On the court’s orders, the prison administration conducted a ‘gender test’ which proved that Kinar is male.
This week, Judge Umashankar Kahar found Kinar guilty based on the victim’s testimony and the medical evidence. Kinar was sentenced to 20 years ‘rigorous imprisonment’ and ordered to pay compensation to his eight-year-old victim.

THE TELEGRAPH: The press complaints regulator has upheld a complaint that a man who claims to be a woman was referred to as a man who claims to be a woman.
The Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) is the independent regulator for the UK print and digital news industry. “We uphold high editorial standards to protect the public and freedom of expression”, boasts the IPSO website. But a decision it made this week would seriously suggest otherwise.
In May this year, Gareth Roberts, author, journalist and gender critical gay man, wrote an article in The Spectator about Nicola Sturgeon. It was a comment piece focusing mainly on Sturgeon’s dogged adherence to gender ideology. In referencing Sturgeon’s interview with a transgender journalist, Roberts stated that she “Was interviewed by writer Juno Dawson, a man who claims to be a woman”.
Juno Dawson, for those who may not know, is a trans-identified male writer, journalist and former teacher who was known as James Dawson prior to his 2015 ‘transition’. He has made quite a career out of his gender identity, talking and writing on the subject ad infinitum over the last nine years. In 2016, for example, he was given a regular column in Glamour magazine in which he documented his ‘transition’ in detail. That Dawson is a man who claims to be a woman has always been self-evident.
Following Gareth Robert’s Spectator article, Juno Dawson complained to the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) over the words ‘a man who claims to be a woman’.
He claimed the phrase was inaccurate, a breach of section 1 of the Editor’s Code, which governs inaccuracy; a breach of section 3, which covers harassment; and a breach of section 12.1, which holds that “The press must avoid prejudicial or pejorative reference to an individual’s race, colour, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or to any physical or mental illness or disability”. He said he believed that the words were discriminatory as he legally ‘changed gender’ in 2018 and that he considered he was deliberately mis-gendered with the intention of causing offence.
(A complaint about causing offence is a bit rich, coming from the man who once said that “A lot of gay men are gay men as a consolation prize, because they couldn't be women”.)
It is, perhaps, no surprise that Dawson made the complaint. What is shocking, however, is that IPSO upheld part of it.
IPSO found there was no breach of section 1 or 3; the phrase was neither inaccurate nor harassment. However, IPSO did conclude that the phrase was a breach of section 12.1. In its judgment, the committee decided that the article had included a reference to the complainant’s gender identity that it considered to be both pejorative and prejudicial.
Apparently, referring to a man who claims to be a woman as a man who claims to be a woman is “personally belittling and demeaning toward the complainant, in a way that was both pejorative and prejudicial to her [sic] gender identity, and was not justified by the columnist’s right to express their views on the broader issues of sex and gender identity.
I never thought I’d find myself in agreement with Michael Gove but his article in The Spectator on IPSO’s ruling is absolutely right. “When Gareth Roberts wrote that Juno Dawson is a man who claims to be a woman, he was exercising his right to free speech and indeed expressing a view that many would consider a straightforward truth. Dawson may have a Gender Recognition Certificate but no piece of paper, whatever it may say, can alter biological reality.”
You may remember that earlier this year a trans-identified male was convicted for making violent threats against Helen Joyce and Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker). 44-year-old Layla Le Fey, formerly known as Adam Hodgson and Marcus Smith, told Helen Joyce, “God how I would love to just rip your eyes out, chop your hands off, and carve your face up really badly”.
He also threatened Kellie-Jay Keen with extreme violence.
One post said that he would be happy to “Brutally and horrifically kill” her.
Another post expressed a desire to set fire to Kellie-Jay’s house with her inside.
When Le Fey was arrested over these social media threats, Sussex Police described him as a woman and used female pronouns with which to refer to him. Similarly, The Argus, the area’s local paper, reported this story describing Le Fey as a woman and referring to him with female pronouns.
Helen Joyce made a complaint to IPSO about the article’s inaccuracy, telling the regulator, “I am not a ‘third party’ in this complaint. It closely relates to me – to my life and to my knowledge of what happened to me; I dared to speak about women’s rights and a man who doesn’t care for women speaking about their rights threatened me in an attempt to intimidate me into silence. This misreporting of a crime has had a significant impact on my life. It is revictimisation.”
IPSO dismissed Helen Joyce’s complaint as a ‘third party issue’, stating that determining Le Fey’s gender – critical to assessing the complaint of inaccuracy – would require an investigation that “Could represent a significant intrusion into their privacy”. Surely no investigation is needed after Le Fey himself tweeted “im [sic] a trans woman”? His ‘gender’ is, to borrow a phrase, bleedin’ obvious.
Careful, IPSO. Your double standards are showing.

MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS: A trans-identified male has been convicted for violent physical and sexual abuse.
20-year-old Angel Hill from High Peak in Derbyshire is described as ‘transitioning from male to female’. This week he was convicted of assault by penetration, sexual assault, strangulation and threatening with a bladed article.
In court, a statement was read out from Hill’s victim - about whom nothing is known - describing the effect of the trauma on their mental health.
Judge Jason MacAdam described Hill as ‘dangerous’ and said he had demonstrated ‘violent, manipulative and controlling behaviour’. He told him, “I conclude you have no insight regarding your behaviour at all. I see no evidence whatsoever that would lead me to conclude you are motivated to change your behaviour. Your approach being ‘it’s all about me’. The consequences of your actions don’t seem to register in your thought process, or if they do you ignore them”.
Hill received an extended sentence of eleven years, including seven years in prison and four years on extended licence.
Of course, the Manchester Evening News referred to Hill throughout its article with female pronouns and even described him as a ‘woman’. In its original version of this story, the paper used the word ‘woman’ in its headline.
The MEN also used this headline in a now deleted post on X/Twitter, describing a convicted MALE sex offender as a ‘woman’.
Lying about the sex of a dangerous predator - pretending that a woman was jailed for these most male of crimes, violent physical and sexual abuse - is the absolute antithesis of journalism.
Friday 13th December - No Balls, Please
The Lawn Tennis Association has barred trans identified males from the female division of certain competitions, but not at a grassroots level where women will still have to put up with men in their sport.
The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has updated its ‘transgender and non-binary participation policy’. From January 2025, the new rules will restrict trans-identified males from participating in some women’s events, but not all.
The LTA policy acknowledges that ‘transwomen’ (its word) enjoy various physical advantages over female competitors, including longer levers with which to reach and hit the ball and increased cardio-vascular capacity. However, it has chosen to ringfence the women’s game only at certain levels. Choosing to ‘draw a line in the competition structure’, the LTA has created two different designations for the purpose of the trans policy; specified and non-specified.
Specified competitions will usually be those involving players from different clubs or counties which, under the LTA’s grading structure, are graded 1-6. Non-specified competitions will usually be those which involve players from within one venue, which is everything below Grade 6. Trans-identified males are only barred from specified competitions, ie those with the highest grades.
The policy states:
“For Non-Specified Competitions within venues, the purpose is primarily to provide fun, social competition to enable people to feel part of their local tennis community… These will range from weekend social tournaments through to Club Championships, these will be able to be fully inclusive, and the choice will be for local venues to make.
We want to encourage local venues to ensure that they are as inclusive as possible for trans and non-binary individuals, providing opportunities to compete in a friendly environment. In line with this, the LTA’s own Local Tennis Leagues product (held in park venues) will remain fully inclusive.”
So only women playing at the higher levels of the sport are deemed worthy of fairness and safety. Everyone else will have to compete against males because it’s ‘fun’ and ‘social’ and ‘inclusive’.
The LTA said that, in updating its policy, it has had to balance “Two potentially conflicting responsibilities: the need to ensure competition in our sport is fair and a responsibility to make sure tennis is welcoming and inclusive for everyone”.
Everyone except the women forced to compete against males, that is.

BBC NEWS: A trans-identified male with previous convictions for the hoarding of prohibited weapons and explosives has been charged with similar offences this week.
We have written previously about 38-year-old trans-identified male, Zoe Watts. He was not only employed as a Police Community Support Officer with Lincolnshire Police for eight years, he also was an equalities officer for the Lincolnshire Police branch of UNISON.
Three years ago, Watts was convicted for the hoarding of banned weapons and explosive substances at his Lincolnshire home. Among the prohibited weapons discovered during the police raids were a stun gun and a number of butterfly knives. Another item found was an improvised explosive device made from a modified shotgun cartridge containing the chemicals nitrocellulose and nitroglycerin. The experts who examined it described it as ‘potentially viable’.
Appearing in Lincoln Crown Court in July 2021, Watts pleaded guilty to a number of offences and was sentenced to 27 months in prison.
Watts operates his own YouTube channel called Survival Mistakes on which he has published several videos. In one particular video, Watts explains how to modify a baseball bat with shards of broken glass. He then uses the bat to smash up watermelons bearing the face of people who have displeased him. One of the melon targets clearly bears the likeness of feminist icon, Germaine Greer.
This week, Watts has been in the news again. Armed police were called to his home and he was subsequently charged with possessing a firearm when prohibited for five years, possession of a firearm without a certificate and manufacturing a firearm weapon.
He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Friday but did not enter any pleas. He has been remanded into custody until 13th January 2025 when he is due to appear before Lincoln Crown Court.
Of course, in its reporting on this story, the BBC referred to Watts with female pronouns throughout its article and made no mention of his true sex or transgender identity. Readers are left with the impression that a woman has been charged with these very serious crimes.
Sunday 15th December - The Wrong Sort of Lesbians
Organisers cancelled the Carmarthen Winter Pride event rather than permit attendance by an LGB Alliance member who has ‘the wrong’ opinions on gender.
ConXtions is a National Lottery funded organisation based in Swansea which advertises itself as “Created by the LGBTQIA+ community for LGBTQIA+ community” and states that it will “Support and help the LGBTQIA+ Community by building relationships across all communities”.
The ConXtions Carmarthen Winter Pride event was due to take place this weekend. Among those due to speak at the event were Dame Nia Griffith, the MP for Llanelli and UK Government Wales Office Minister, Joyce Watson, MS for Mid and West Wales, and Adam Price, MS for Carmarthen East & Dinefwr.
As reported by LGB Alliance Cymru, last year, a gender critical lesbian - ‘a woman of a certain age’ - was ‘asked to leave’ the Carmarthen Winter Pride event after she asked some ‘difficult questions’ about sex being real, immutable & important. The woman was keen to attend this year’s event as speakers, Nia Griffith, Adam Price and Joyce Watson, all represent her in Cardiff or Westminster.
Several other members of LGB Alliance Cymru also wanted to attend. And, as members of the ‘LGBTQIA+ community’ which ConXtions claims to ‘support and help’, they had every right to be there, especially as their elected representatives were speaking on issues which are very important to them.
After her experience of being ousted from last year’s Winter Pride, the woman of a certain age wrote to ConXtions for a reassurance that she would be permitted to attend and remain at this weekend’s event. They would make made no such promise, despite claiming to run a ‘public, open, inclusive’ Pride. So the woman contacted the Free Speech Union for advice. The FSU also contacted ConXtions to seek assurance that she would be able to attend.
ConXtions then abruptly cancelled the entire event and issued a shameful statement in which they pretended that attendees holding gender critical views will make others ‘uncomfortable’ at this ‘inclusive’ and public event. They also claimed that the FSU had threatened them with legal action.
As LGB Alliance Cymru write:
“We know what our members think. It’s a disgrace that lesbians, gay men, bisexuals & allies are barred from a public Pride event. We are those LGBTQIA+ communities too but you wouldn’t know it this weekend. We’re fed up with the bullies.
If ConXtions staff/volunteers cannot cope with views they don’t like, they’re in the wrong role. Democracy, public service, community support all mean a genuine welcome, even to people you don’t like.”
Quite.
See you next week.
Gender ideology has released monsters into society, it’s enabled perverts, creeps, dangerous misogynists and narcissists to inflict their fetishes on the rest of us full time. Even if we manage to defeat gender ideology as a political/religious movement, will we ever be able to rid ourselves of creeps like these or are they always going to be lurking in women’s spaces?
Thanks JL as ever.
My brain hurts with all this shit ,someone please let the grown ups in
