This is off topic but hoping someone can chip in. What happened to the outstanding Alexandra Darroch in Glasgow after she challenged Nicola Sturgeon about indulging men in women’s spaces. It was a turning point along with Sturgeon’s catastrophic blunder in telling us “our concerns were not valid”. So Sturgeon is sinking in the pit she dug for herself but where and how is Alexandra? I used to find it quite thrilling at school hearing of Jenny Geddes shouting out in St Giles in Edinburgh (even though I didn’t understand the dispute) and Alexandra seemed to me equally dramatic.
Every single bit of this made my blood boil as usual ,JL. Reading about these entitled criminal men being given legal support for their bullying fetishes brings to mind the other war on women. Twenty-five thousand women and children have been murdered in Gaza. Nine thousand women and counting. Women in Gaza are undergoing cesarean sections with out pain medication. There are thousands of child amputees. When we speak about saving women and children from dangerous ideologies, we must speak out for these women and children.
The New Zealand shenanigans prove beyond doubt that the activists are men's rights activists while the men in frocks are men's sexual rights activists. I don't think, in living history in the West, has female rights ever come under such sustained attack from parts of the patriarchy. Something must have triggered this beyond the ultra feminists who were too extreme to be taken seriously (some men never take women seriously, especially if they are feminists) and tumbled headfirst into the EDI nonsense. These women are part of the EDI overkill that sees everyone and everything in terms of social justice and victimization.
Women in the West (not elsewhere) were making headway, albeit we still had a long way to go, but it is being lost because a lot of men feel insecure, and we all know - or should know - how dangerous they can be when they feel insecure. The attraction of having TRA's 'onboard' for a foreign intelligence service, is that they come pre-packed with intolerance, notably against women (particularly lesbians) gay men and, because most TRA's are white males, any ethnic minority.
