Monday 10th October - The Clocks Were Striking Thirteen Down Under
TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION: Australia’s academic union has issued a warning to so-called ‘transphobic’ gender critical researchers.
The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) is Australia’s higher education union and it holds an annual national council, a forum of hundreds of NTEU delegates.
A motion passed at the NTEU national council this week described gender critical research as ‘hate speech masquerading as academic work’ and declared that gender critical ideology is “Not welcome in society or in our union”. Furthermore, it condemned ‘gender critical ideology’ as “A term that is used to defend transphobic ideology and when used to do so is not consistent with academic freedom”.
Political scientist Colin Wight, an emeritus professor at the University of Sydney, commented that, as the motion did not define ‘gender critical’ or ‘transphobia’, a clause combining the two “could mean anything”, and adding that it amounted to a restriction of academic freedom. Nick Osbaldiston, Associate Professor of Sociology at James Cook University, commented, “This is just another chilling moment in the academy for younger academics in particular who feel they cannot say anything for fear of ostracism from their peers and colleagues”.

AMERICAN MILITARY NEWS: The Biden administration has decided that trans-identified males will still have to register for the draft.
President Joe Biden’s government has opted not to alter the existing policy that trans-identified males must register for the Selective Service. (Trans-identified females do not have to register for the Selective Service.)
Selective Service provides troops to the US Defence Department in the event of a military draft. According to the website, “All male US citizens and male immigrants, who are 18 through 25, are required to register”. That includes “US citizens or immigrants who are born male and have changed their gender to female.”
The Biden administration is intent on eviscerating Title IX legal protections for women by extending it them to any male who ‘identifies as a woman’. When women point out that males could identify as trans in order to violate female-only spaces, steal opportunities intended only for women and compete unfairly in women’s sports, they are branded as bigots and ignored. But it seems that the same government still classifies ‘transwomen’ as male when it comes to draft dodging.
Tuesday 11th October - The NEU: “No Sex, please, we’re captured”
THE TELEGRAPH: Teachers upholding women’s sex-based rights could be deemed ‘transphobic’ under a policy proposed by the NEU.
With over half a million members, the National Education Union (NEU) is by far the biggest teaching union in the UK.
A resolution to define ‘transphobia’ was passed at last year’s annual NEU conference. The union’s trans and non-binary network has now drafted a definition which has been submitted for consideration by the national executive committee.
This draft proposal, seen by The Telegraph, defines transphobia as a “Rejection of trans identity and a refusal to acknowledge that those identities are real or valid” as well as any “Incorrect use of pronouns”. It also cites “Propagating ideas, concepts and misinformation harmful to trans people and which erase and ignore trans history, such as trans as an ideology or contagion”. This very broad and loose definition implies that ‘transphobia’ can mean any legally expressed fact or opinion to which trans people object. Such as upholding that sex is real and important.
Writing in Unherd, Debbie Hayton comments, “This has the hallmarks of a power-grab by an activist lobby that thinks it can determine the correct use of pronouns. If it gets its way, where does that leave members of the Union who think differently? Perhaps, teachers who hold the view that pronouns indicate someone’s sex? In extremis, where would it leave a member who was unwilling to refer to a male rapist as ‘ she’? In a kangaroo court it would seem… This astonishing, and badly written, document not only goes beyond the law — it makes demands incompatible with the law”.
Wednesday 12th October - This Never Happens #1
THE TIMES: A sexual predator posed as a woman in order to blackmail his female victims into having sex with him.
36-year-old James Donoghue who is from Glasgow posed as a woman online, setting up fake social media profiles and email addresses, in order to deceive his two victims, both university students. He used explicit footage he acquired by pretending to be a woman in order to blackmail the young women and force them to have sex with him.
This week, at the High Court in Glasgow, Donoghue pleaded guilty to two charges of extorting both women for sex. He was jailed for eight years and a further two years under supervision and placed on the sex offenders list indefinitely. The judge described his actions as ‘predatory’ and ‘despicable’.
A predatory sex offender who posed as female in order to prey on women… Something the Scottish government constantly insists would never happen.
Thursday 13th October - This Never Happens #2
REDUXX: A trans-identified male has pleaded guilty to three offences relating to the possession of ‘extreme’ child sexual exploitation materials.
25-year-old Josh Dean French first came under suspicion in November 2021 during a separate police investigation. Using his ‘female’ name, ‘Jayda Dean’, French was communicating with a suspected paedophile. Police subsequently raided French’s home and seized his electronic devices.
Investigators discovered 73 ‘extreme’ videos and images on French’s devices, 49 of which contained aggravated child sexual abuse. Among the videos were two of French himself, masturbating next to a sleeping five-year-old girl. She was the child of a co-worker who had trusted French to watch her daughter in her own home while she ran an errand to a local shop.
French pleaded guilty to one count of producing child exploitation material and two counts of possessing child exploitation material and he was sentenced to four years and ten months imprisonment.
Friday 14th October - The Trial Of Dana Rivers finally begins
THE DAILY MAIL: Six years after the murders took place, trans activist, Dana Rivers, will stand trial charged with killing a lesbian couple and their son.
When known as David Warfield, Dana Rivers was in the US Navy and later became a high school teacher in Michigan. In 1999 he underwent sex reassignment surgery and subsequently lost his teaching job after discussing the details of his transition with his teenage students. He took legal action against the school and reached a $150,000 settlement. Rivers went on to become a trans activist.
A focus of Rivers’ campaigning was MichFest, an annual female-only lesbian festival held in Michigan. That trans-identified males were not permitted to attend this women-only event enraged him. He was part of a group called Camp Trans which protested the right of lesbians to exclude males from their festival and picketed the event to vent their fury.
Married couple, Charlotte Reed and Patricia Wright, were regular MichFest attendees. Wright was a semi-retired elementary school teacher and Reed, a US Air Force veteran, was a businesswoman. They had an adopted son, Benny Diambu-Wright.
Shortly after midnight on 11th November, 2016 police received reports that gunshots were heard at the couple’s home in Oakland, California. When they arrived at the property they found Rivers covered in blood and in possession of knives, ammunition and metal knuckles. The house was ablaze.
Benny Diambu-Wright lay outside the house. He had been shot dead. Inside the house, police found the bodies of Charlotte Reed and Patricia Wright. They had been shot and stabbed numerous times.
Rivers was charged with the murders but the case has been years in the hearing. The endless deferrals in proceedings, detailed meticulously by Kara Dansky, were mostly due to delays in obtaining the medical reports to assess Rivers’ competency to stand. Finally, six years after the murders, the family and friends of Charlotte, Patricia and Benny might see justice.
Saturday 15th October - Leave Them Kids Alone #1
THE TELEGRAPH: A taxpayer-funded national library scheme for teenagers has produced material that promotes puberty blockers and trans surgery to minors.
The Reading Agency is a charity which supplies public libraries, GPs and school nurses across the UK in a scheme intended to help young people struggling with their mental health. The project receives Arts Council England funding and was granted £1.5 million last year. Similar Reading Agency schemes received £3.5 million from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
The latest collection of books aimed at teens aged between 13 and 19 has a section on sexuality and gender identity which disgusted parents say promote self-harm and ignore safeguarding.
Two of the 27 books in the latest collection promote gender identity ideology. ‘Welcome to St Hell: My Trans Teen Misadventure’ is the memoir of a trans-identified girl. It includes a full-page cartoon diagram of the girl’s body which references her ‘imaginary willy’ and describes her breasts as ‘fatty lumps that need to be gone’.
Elsewhere in the book, two teenagers enthuse over hormone treatment and wearing a breast binder. One describes puberty blockers as the ‘best thing I ever did’. In another scene, a young girl boasts about taking testosterone.
Another book on the list, ‘Queer Up’, contains information for teenagers about ‘top and bottom surgery’. It also references asexual identities and ‘non-binary animals’ and ‘welcomes’ children to the queer ‘family’. The book recommends Mermaids in its list of resources.
Think tank, the Family Education Trust, has complained to the Reading Agency and the Arts Council England over the books’ ‘massive safeguarding red flags’. Tanya Carter from Safe Schools Alliance UK told The Telegraph, “We are heartbroken to think of teenage girls, whether lesbian or straight, having self-harm and body hatred promoted to them in the name of inclusion”.
Sunday 16th October - Leave Them Kids Alone #2
THE TIMES: A primary school teacher is taking legal action after she lost her job for refusing to affirm an eight-year-old child’s gender identity.
A primary school teacher who lost her job over an eight-year-old trans-identified female pupil is beginning a judicial review against the school governors and the local council, arguing that the school’s policy of affirming ‘transgender’ pupils could harm children.
The pupil in question was placed in the teacher’s Year 4 class. Staff were instructed to use a male name and male pronouns for the girl and told that she would be permitted to wear a boy’s uniform and use the toilets and changing rooms. Other children in the school were kept in the dark about the girl’s true sex and teachers were instructed to lie about it.
The teacher challenged these policies, arguing that unquestioningly encouraging the child to believe that she is ‘in the wrong body’ could cause her harm. She was suspended from her job last autumn and then sacked earlier this year.
Along with other school staff, the teacher had attended ‘trans-awareness’ training sessions which included materials provided by Stonewall. This material told staff that 80% of ‘transgender children realise they are transgender at primary school and that the average age of ‘self-realisation’ happens when children are just five years old.
The teacher told The Times that teachers are being coerced into lying to their pupils. “Children are being experimented on, and schools are silencing teachers who disagree with the policy of simply accepting that if parents ask for a child to be treated as the opposite sex, they must go along with that”.
Her case will be heard in Birmingham’s High Court this week.
Also Today - First Do No Harm
DAILY MAIL: Trainee doctors are being instructed to unquestioningly accept and affirm a patient’s gender identity.
Three-quarters of UK medical schools have signed up to a charter issued by the Association of LGBTQ+ Doctors & Dentists (Gladd). It promotes that trainee doctors should ‘respect and affirm’ patients who identify as trans without question rather than explore possible co-morbidities. The charter equates the questioning of a patient’s ‘gender identity’ with ‘conversion therapy’.
Where young people are concerned, of course, this instruction is in direct contravention of The Cass Report. Jane Galloway of Transgender Trend warned that medical schools are falling into a trap. “This means doctors will not be able to properly explore if a child has gender dysphoria, autism or something else”.
Psychotherapist Bob Withers told the paper, “The danger of doctors being taught to unquestioningly affirm a patient’s gender identity is that it encourages those with gender dysphoria down the path to medical treatment, making permanent changes to their body that they may later come to regret”.
Gladd’s trans representative is Dr Katie McDowell who was mentioned on this site only last week. She is the ‘queer, trans and non-binary’ Mermaids trustee who believes that biological sex is just a ‘concept’.

SCOTTISH DAILY EXPRESS: Trans activist trolls have made disgraceful comments following the death of Robbie Coltrane over his support for JK Rowling.
On Friday we learned the sad news that much-loved and accomplished actor, Robbie Coltrane, had passed away aged seventy-two. A man described by friends as ‘huge of heart’, he was, of course, famous for playing a great many roles but especially the character of Hagrid in the Harry Potter films.
Online trans activists tweeted disgusting and ghoulish comments in the wake of his death because he had previously expressed his support for JK Rowling and her defence of women’s rights.
One of the comments read “I am glad he is dead. and I hope none of his fans or loved ones are hanging around waiting to be offended by this”. Another stated “Burn in hell, Robbie”.
“Just be kind”.
