Monday 1st February - Witch Burning in the SNP Joanna Cherry QC, MSP for Edinburgh South West, was sacked from the SNP’s front bench after five and a half years. Despite being one of the party’s best and most respected parliamentarians, she was removed from her role as home affairs and justice spokeswoman with only 30 minutes notice and virtually no explanation.
Lyme Regis council installed unisex toilet facilities on the seafront - can't remember exactly how many cubicles, proably eight or so. these loos feel safe and are generaly clean and well kept. Normally they are unattended but during lockdown an attendant was ensuring they didn't become overcrowded and that people used sanitiser before entering. Three cubicles were then designated men only. I asked the attendant why and he said it was because men were disgusting and if he left all the cubicles available to men, he would have to close the whole lot for cleaning every hour or so whereas this way he could just close three cubicles for cleaning. Done with the best of intentions but still leaves women short changed. Personally, I think they should make this provision women only to redress the balance (women always end up queuing more) and let the men use the toilets nearby. Not as nice but perfectly adequate.
Absolutely smearing, denigrating, harrassing and slandering and attacking women is to keep us out of public life. I shudder (literally) to think what women have had to put up with in terms of threats, abuse and coercion in order to stand up. As long as they don’t evidence any free will that is. I hope it’s becoming more evident to all how much abuse women have to absorb to do so. Certainly no “support”. It is simply a more obvious and public example of what still occurs in the domestic sphere and which means women as a class are effectively silenced to be exploited by men. Second class citizenry all round with legal and human rights ignored. There is always an agenda running to serve men which women don’t necessarily subscribe to if they even know about it. I’m so annoyed violence is now being threatened upon Joanna Cherry she is a contemporary shero for standing for women and for those who are threatened by her to stoop to this level to silence her says much about them and there will likely be little to no consequences still for them doing this to her. Bloody medieval and a salutary reminder to us all of just how far women’s rights have not only been suppressed but actually regressed both in the personal and public spheres. A man threatening violence against her is as low as it gets. She’s probably been man ip u late d in other ways to by the “boys club” and hand maids who always stick together against the emancipation of women as well by any means fair or foul. A sad day for both her and humanity and one which will go down in history books as a modern day witch hunt at least. Shameful and disgraceful but history in the making. We all need to be looking out for her along with every other woman being bullied, manipulated (usually by neglect and lack of access to Justice and their resources and still viewed as chattels to support men) and silenced everywhere. I hope she doesn’t have children because “they” will use them against her too.

We need to assert ourselves with something of the ferocity of the extreme transgenderists. We have to go dogmatically on the offensive, we have to shame people into stopping the pretence that they actually believe this TWAW bullshit and all the insanity and danger that goes with it. We have to stop squealing and get really, really angry about this. The problem is so many people have dug themselves into a hole. They've declared undying support and loyalty for something they barely gave a second's thought to - because 'be nice' to delusional bloody men, again. There needs to be a strategy for giving them an out and leading by example is the best way possible. It is an absolute fact that not one single person on the planet, no matter who they are or what the say, actually believes that a trans identified man is an actual woman.
