Thank you! Some good news, although it's shocking institutions should be told not to discriminate on our legal and correct views. It's always lovely to read about Maya as we do owe her a lot.
Thanks Mr Linehan for your courage, wit and endurance. I regard the money I've happily donated to Maya Forstater's legal costs as an 'investment' that has been paid off generously.
The line from boundary-smashing 'queer theorists' (why dear God, O why?) to Miriam Cates needing to put forward a bill to make Sex Education for children transparent, and reviewable by parents, is a direct one. Strange how often this boundary-smashing line leads right to the question of sex and children. Hhhmmmmm.
p.s. Don't you just love the phrase 'Remedy Judgment"? We're going to need a lot of those.
Miriam Cates is such a breath of fresh air. She's the very model of a committed, Christian Conservative - the building blocks of traditional conservatism, in fact, which is criminally lacking from most of the others in her party. She's bright (and beautiful) and totally on point. I contacted her once about a related issue, not expecting to hear back from her, given that I'm not a constituent of hers. And yet she found the time to write a relatively long reply, personally, including email addresses of people she thought may be able to help with my query. She's an absolute star - too good to be PM, unfortunately, despite what she would bring to the table.
I don't know where the term 'gender critical' came from - it wouldn't have been from us biological realists, it's not our style - but it's become a legal term since Maya Forstater's case
Have you had a look at the archive here? There have been a few interesting articles and comments sections on exactly this. It's sometimes possible to pin down roughly how something came into common usage (to sound like an etymologist or like I've swallowed a thesaurus).
Thank you for this, ThoughSheBe. I was a lawyer and come at it from that point of view so I've been puzzled by the expression 'gender critical' as we'd never see ourselves that way. But many thanks to the Employment Trib for supporting Maya all the way through to this week's marvellous result for her.
The wonderful expression 'worthy of respect in a democratic society' comes from the Grainger case 2010 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grainger_plc_v_Nicholson which gave protection to belief in climate change. Since then veganism has become a belief WORIADS too, as has belief in Scottish independence. I love the quirky legal sense of humour that brackets our rights in with those of an SNP vegan climate change activist. Though it would be better if the tribunal had recognised that we are talking about straightforward facts. Thank you again, Maya and the legal feminists who fought for this major turning point
Elon needs to pull his finger out soon despite all his waffle about data blah blah money. There's a lot of genuinely useful public information that we now can't access :-(
A subscriber at my channel suggested I contact the wife of crossdresser, science teacher, Vince (Vica Steele) Busenburg, whose video of himself "coming out" raised controversy, as he showed it to students with no parental notice. I can't be in the business of contacting women trapped in these marriages, but if anyone here happens to know this poor woman, please give her the info. Video soon at Trans Widow Ute Heggen channel, on the results of 20 Questions for a Trans Widow survey. The sexual/emotional abuse is shockingly high. If the "Dutch Protocols" can be a result of 33 exit surveys in 2014, from individuals now deciding they're furry, or "non-binary" in the expensive follow ups of DeVries et al, then I can use survey results from 34 (and growing) trans widows. Lavinia, my most recent subject, tells of repeated rape, social isolation and impoverishment after the split, a common thread.
My Pascal -- fortunately labeled a shepherd mix by the pound, which saved his life -- would love to have a little girl decorate him! He doesn't like adults, especially men, but he thinks other dogs (ALL other dogs) and children are delightful. When he's going for a ride and sees dogs or children, he makes the same squeaking, longing sound. His foster mom's grandson asked, "Where's Pascal?!?" Foster mom: "He got adopted." Grandson: "It's SO boring around here without Pascal!"
I looked up adoptable pugs, but they seem to be rather dominant dogs. ??? And Pascal is not a dominant dog so I'd rather not have someone pushing him around.
Aw bless lil Petal! Hope she's enjoying the hols! Oh my but glitter is the most persistent substance known to humanity, isn't it?! Your poor hoover... 😂
Fantastic news from Maya. I must admit I didn’t hesitate to contribute to her crowd fund but after the news last week about banks policing their customers’ beliefs and closing accounts I’ll admit, I’m nervous about the crowd funder for Adult Human Female. That’s how the activists work of course, it IS terrorism, in the dictionary definition of the term. So I will plough on. Can’t let them win this one. Too much at stake.
Great work as always, JL. You make my week. Congratulations to Denise and Maya on their big wins. The law might well change with a new government but the debate is happening now
Thank you. I have some good news. Some of the kids are ok. In my friend's son's boys' school the boys aren't having it, despite the teachers trying. One boy is pretending to be a girl and the boys tell him to man up and refuse to use his female name. They refuse participation in the ABC activities on the whole.
More good news the women's rights party now has 519 paid up and sighed members and will be handing in the registration application next week. Hopefully the electoral commission with approve it so we can be on the ballot this election.

Love the picture! It's adorable.
You're more than welcome! Thought that picture might be a winner! 😊

Thank you JL for good news because we surely could do with some!
My pleasure, Trudie!
JL - are you Julia Long perchance ... or not sayin! Whoever you iz, thx so much for keeping updated xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hahahahaha! No, I'm really really not Julia Long! (She'd hardly be anon, would she?!) Thanks for your kind words! 😘 xxxx
Can't wait for Maya Forstater's follow-up interview on Woman's Hour.
Thanks as ever JL!
I think these court/tribunal cases are proving really important in turning the tide.
I reported on an ongoing one last night - author turned lorry driver Gillian Philip. She also needs support, folks.

Plenty of upcoming 'gender critical' (for want of a better term) legal cases to keep an eye on! As detailed in this excellent thread by Peter Daly:

I’m not allowed to see any twatter at all now as I don’t have an account 🤷♀️
Thanks for that JL.
Unfortunately I couldn't access it :(

Had little petal today 🥰 knackered , house will be covered in glitter till Christmas 😂
Only 6 more weeks of the holidays to go
Well, at least your house is already decorated -- six months in advance!

Sleep pee and sleep more

My older one (Gigi ) hates men especially men in hats , no idea why
I’ve not been very mobile since I got little one ( Frankie ) so she’s just mega excited when anyone comes in
When I’m just here myself both just lie and snore on the couch x
I looked up adoptable pugs, but they seem to be rather dominant dogs. ??? And Pascal is not a dominant dog so I'd rather not have someone pushing him around.
ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz
