Once there is a debate you can really see why they clung on to #nodebate. BTW, did you see Sharon Davies on GMB yesterday? She was bloody amazing. You could see the surprise in the presenters eyes when she demolished their points. The world turns...

Oh how I love Sharron Davies. She is an absolute legend.

Her books now dropped into my kindle but I’ll have to wait to read it , I’m in the middle of another one

Would hate to get the two of them confused

Either Bunny McGarry would try hold sensible debate with the bad guys and get ignored or Sharon would go hell for leather , fair or foul to get them put to rights

O wait , I quite like that plot

This is indeed good news, after the depression of the update! Thank you. Slowly, slowly, peaking occurs, in the general public and in the medical establishment. This goes to show that the hard slog of the foot soldiers, led by the heroes like KJK, Joyce, Forstater, JKR, Bindel, Phillmore, Fair Cop, and soooooo Many others, is working. I'm not sure the war will ever be won. I don't think this genie is going back on the bottle, but I do think that with every frothing screech at women speaking and every fake man boob fondled in public, headway is made to peak the public. I'm amazed at Australia taking a sensible approach medically. I thought they were lost forever. Good news indeed.

I’m ashamed to admit that Kirsty Blackman is a fellow Scot! How a woman and a mother can be confused about her chromosomes is astounding. That she has a vague notion about her genitals even more so given that she pushed two children out of her vagina nine months after her husband on two occasions had impregnated one of her eggs after depositing his sperm via his penis into her vagina. I guess biology not her strong point but as she’s a nationalist little else will be either!

Cheers JL - great to see Kirsty Blackman being honoured for her first-class comedy turn, with Nadia Whittome providing a solid supporting set. Dentons knew exactly what they were doing when they advised Gender Ideology activists to avoid the media. Unfortunately for them, those days are gone and the"logic" behind Gender Theory is up against its worst enemy - rational debate.

In a survey covered in the Times today only 2% of the population in Scotland thought the gender issue was important. So much noise has been created by this under Sturgeon that you could believe Scotland is a paradise for pretendy men masquerading as women. In fact we have very strong womens rights groups fighting this constantly which is why it gets so much publicity. Hence the Sexmatters.org party up here last week in Edinburgh. The fight goes on to make sure that vociferous minority of blue haired wokists do not intimidate teachers, politicians, the NHS or the police into thinking they have to kowtow. So Mum Fighting Back we are with you and will never give up on our children or grandchildren.

It was so long since I'd heard "What's Up" that if anyone had asked me, I would have said with absolute confidence it was called "What's Going On?"! I don't think I knew the members were lesbians - was it kept quiet at the time? They fell into a time in my life where my time spent reading the music press had dropped off due to work and new interests.

I'm glad something useful came out of my half-correct original post - the song and the band deserve remembering!

JL, i’ve never been offered so much as a residency at any of the major art galleries. SO UNFAIR. Its weird how our culture seems to promote the talentless. I think sometimes its to maintain the fantasy that a lot of people hold that anyone can be a star and adored by millions. I can’t think of anything worse. Much better to just be able to chill out. I listened to an interview with a composer the other day and she lives on a light house in the middle of nowhere in scotland, and she said that she loved the sea, one reason being it reminded her constantly how small she was. And she liked that and said she thinks its important to feel small. We can be small and irrelevant but still be kind in our little lives. Much better. Sorry ranting again. Trying to be fair, the process for moving jobs at that level is quite tricky. There aren't a huge number of them, and he may well have been interviewed months ago, but the process for moving out of his existing role might involve ensuring someone else is in post before he can go. The sabbatical sort of backs that up.

Today I self ID as a posh baby. All the rage. (Actually suffering from a tooth abscess and gum infection to am eating Miss Ella's organic baby food from Waitrose.) On this issue, I trust that the school where a Year 8 pupil self ID's as a cat has provided her with a litter tray in the corner of a classroom, a nice comfy bed on top of a high cupboard, a scatching post and a good selection of Sheba and Dreamies in the canteen.

Thanks a lot for sending me down a rabbit hole looking at how to tell the gender of a cat! If for some reason you can't get under the tail there are other ways to tell and it turns out that adult cats do show a degree of dimorphism and males have fuller faces , broader noses, be more 'jowly' etc and just look 'male' and females tend to be smaller and more delicate. We had a kitten, pre-internet days, who we assumed to female as it's quite hard to 'sex' a kitten, but as it grew I could just tell it was male. We mammals do recognise tiny differences. We had to rename him as he didn't like being called Fluffy, but that was just his preference.

This is all vital information! Thank you, Sula! x

Cat sexing can be difficult, but, yes, it's quite easy when clued in to the body-shape differences. Colours help, too (though not definitive) - for example, a calico is very likely to be female.

Expand full comment

and ones with bits missing out of their ears are likely to be males :)

Dusty

Expand full comment

Yes, and gingers tend to be, though not always, males. And rather aggressive ones at that in my experience!

Expand full comment

I think I've been lucky. I've had three ginger and white males (well, one was more a glorious auburn colour I haven't seen on a cat since - think red setter), and they were all very gentle, but huge! One was killed by a car before he had much chance to develop a personality, the second used to ride across my shoulders like a stole, and the third was a rescue (again hit by a car) - partially blind, rebuilt back leg and pelvis, brain damage, but he was the happiest cat you can imagine!

In the video linked below, I read the reply letter to me from a land trust non-profit that suddenly uses pronouns in their bios, despite the fact that all of the employees just happen to be in heterosexual relationships (I've known them for more than 5 years) and do not "identify" out of their sex. The lack of justice for trans widows, who usually do not get child support from the porn-sick ex-husbands, and who are called "birth mother" while the ex who fathered the children say he's "mother." Next month, look for my interview with Tammy Peterson, wife of Dr. Jordan Peterson, on her eponymous youtube channel.

Thank you for the regular good news, JL.

The Gallup Poll makes perfect sense to me. Until a couple of years ago, I gave no thought to transgender people because, like so many other people, I thought it meant mainly transsexuals and that they were a tiny group. Now that the consequences of trans activism are becoming known, it is right that a greater number of people are against transgender rights.

I might have missed it on Glinner (if so, sorry for the repeat) but the Daily Mail (doing a great job for us) had a report on the power behind the woke bullshit https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12155603/Investment-firms-blame-woke-campaigns-claims-ex-AB-exec.html they have a few updates, including DeSantis going after Black Rock.

Yes, but they are still bringing the trans issue to the general public and in fact, every time they call a man in skirt 'they' or 'she' the comments usually are along the lines if "it's a man".
