i wrote to my mp about this interview as it was so profoundly upsetting, it was the only thing i could think of how to respond. She told me the plans labour has and they seem to have some good ideas. We need nothing short of a cultural revolution.
Thank you. That one persistent woman is astonishing and I'm so glad you heard her speak and that they covered this again. There was such a thorough attempt to repeatedly discredit her by those in the criminal justice system. Delays of years then finding details out by accident almost in passing! Error and omission after error and omission. Then denial. How many errors, how many years, then this point where the government release statements that X is already against Y law, so the police were at fault it's up to them, then they fail some more, then the police flip it to the CPS, then round and round. All these mealy-mouthed justifications for not going after that man and what he did. He was found guilty when they were arsed to go after him and not continually fob her off. She is now an advisor to government and guidance is being changed. It has improved the process for other women and she did that. Every single time there's an inquiry into failings, then the whole structure is eventually changed as are thresholds, it's taken such egregious damage to occur to so many people over decades.
Because self-ID would have led to many more GRCs, and GRCs allow men who larp as women, legal status. Legal status allows them to gain access to all female spaces, rights, services, etc. They would be protected by both the characteristic of gender reassignment (no surgery required) AND sex because a GRC affords them legal sex status. How can you ban anyone on the sex exception if they have legal sex, so it completely undermines biological sex.

We need to remember that transsexuals were encouraged into women's spaces way back in the 1960s. No one asked our permission. That was illegal then. Legality cannot be born out of illegality or bank heists would all become quite legal inasmuch as the use of the money garnered after the heist could be deemed to be used legally, just not the heist itself. The old adage that no one should be able to gain from his/her illegal actions still stands.
These transsexuals, now called 'true trans' held the door ajar for subsequent waves of 'trans', and this latest lot are so threatening to the transsexuals' parasitical invasion of female spaces without a by-your-leave because of their behaviours that they now want to close the door against them, with themselves inside, of course, alongside us.
They are no allies to women. If that door to female spaces and rights is kept ajar, our grandchildren are going to meet this stuff further down the road because these men are relentless, as are those who fund this whole mess. Completely agree with you. But repealing the GRA feels like trying to move a mountain. I signed the petition to repeal it and the government’s response was mealy mouthed about the need to respect these creeps and said there were no plans to revisit it. What can we do? Is it going to take a couple of decades of repeated attacks on women before anything changes?
This is the permanent struggle we have in and with government - there are laws. It's about enforcing them. Who does that? Then we all sit around arguing about how we get the funding and focus to where we need it - in prevention, in post-incident analysis, in service delivery, in more research, in changing legislation, in enforcing legislation, in trying to stop those who ignore it, in education for the public.
I read somewhere that passage of the GRR Act is expected to increase the number of Scots applying for GRCs by a factor of ten -- from currently around 30 per year, to 300 per year.
But I don't think that includes the number of people from the rest of the UK, and from abroad, likely to visit & settle briefly in Scotland to get a GRC.
It's actually more worrying that that, MsGabriel. Everything you say + a probable underestimate of the Scottish situation alone. The real problem lies in he fact that a GRC will confer LEGAL status on these men as a right, "for all purposes", as stated in a recent Court of Session ruling. This, effectively, would destroy any protected characteristic of 'sex' in the 2010 Equality Act, and it would also confer a double gift o the 'trans' identified men by allotting them TWO protected categories - that of gender reassignment and that of 'legal sex', which is deemed to be the equivalent of 'sex' for almost every conceivable circumstance.
I think that this is why we have to fight back with the law. For over six decades, 'the law' has overridden female rights by allowing men into their spaces (transsexuals), illegally, with no debate, no consultation with women and no legislation passed at Westminster. A cabal of men - it will almost certainly have been all men - must have taken upon themselves to encourage males into female spaces without a by-your-leave. Just as they did with the Yogyakarta Principles that started this latest wave of 'trans' madness, just as they did in relation to female pensions.

Sex-Matters.org have completed their analysis of the 2021 Census. One briefly summarised Census finding is that trans-identified males are five times as likely to be imprisoned for sex offences than males generally.
This seems quite compatible with 50% of trans-identified male prisoners being convicted sex offenders (stats from ONS / Crime Survey for England & Wales) -- whatever their motives for claiming to be women.

It's a miscalculation but then I'm not sure those like her and who are pushing this care. They know they have enough power in their power-sharing agreement that they seem to be under the impression they really can do whatever they like, run the country how they like, and they can't lose power. Regarding the sports issue, I'm unclear why this is still being debated. We've known for a half a century what the issues are, what the biological differences are, and what the implications for sports are. Innumerable people have written about it, and many suggest simply allowing people to compete together, but award rankings in separate categories (as they do, for instance, in weightlifting).
It was *never* about whether the differences were there or not. It has *always* been about a certain cohort of misogynist men wanting to push women out.

These transsexuals, now called 'true trans' held the door ajar for subsequent waves of 'trans', and this latest lot are so threatening to the transsexuals' parasitical invasion of female spaces without a by-your-leave because of their behaviours that they now want to close the door against them, with themselves inside, of course, alongside us.
They are no allies to women. If that door to female spaces and rights is kept ajar, our grandchildren are going to meet this stuff further down the road because these men are relentless, as are those who fund this whole mess. Nothing less than a total rout will suffice. That will man campaigning for the repeal of the 2004 GRA and the rewriting or strengthening of the 2010 Equality Act to exclude all but biological sex from that protected category.
These men, all of them who claim to be 'trans', have made use of us, and fools of us, for far too long. We need to ditch the empathy and sympathy and start thinking about women, girls' and children's survival as fully realised human beings because, if we don't, we will lose.
Completely agree with you. But repealing the GRA feels like trying to move a mountain. I signed the petition to repeal it and the government’s response was mealy mouthed about the need to respect these creeps and said there were no plans to revisit it. What can we do? Is it going to take a couple of decades of repeated attacks on women before anything changes?
This is the permanent struggle we have in and with government - there are laws. It's about enforcing them. Who does that? Then we all sit around arguing about how we get the funding and focus to where we need it - in prevention, in post-incident analysis, in service delivery, in more research, in changing legislation, in enforcing legislation, in trying to stop those who ignore it, in education for the public.
I read somewhere that passage of the GRR Act is expected to increase the number of Scots applying for GRCs by a factor of ten -- from currently around 30 per year, to 300 per year.
But I don't think that includes the number of people from the rest of the UK, and from abroad, likely to visit & settle briefly in Scotland to get a GRC.

It's actually more worrying that that, MsGabriel. Everything you say + a probable underestimate of the Scottish situation alone. The real problem lies in he fact that a GRC will confer LEGAL status on these men as a right, "for all purposes", as stated in a recent Court of Session ruling. This, effectively, would destroy any protected characteristic of 'sex' in the 2010 Equality Act, and it would also confer a double gift o the 'trans' identified men by allotting them TWO protected categories - that of gender reassignment and that of 'legal sex', which is deemed to be the equivalent of 'sex' for almost every conceivable circumstance.
I think that this is why we have to fight back with the law. For over six decades, 'the law' has overridden female rights by allowing men into their spaces (transsexuals), illegally, with no debate, no consultation with women and no legislation passed at Westminster. A cabal of men - it will almost certainly have been all men - must have taken upon themselves to encourage males into female spaces without a by-your-leave. Just as they did with the Yogyakarta Principles that started this latest wave of 'trans' madness, just as they did in relation to female pensions.
To boot, the BBC, and I suspect every other public institution, who employed 'trans' identified males, paid them a man's wage while female employees were paid far, far less and only fairly recently had their pay grades equalised. This was well after the Equal Pay Act was in force. Illegal, yet again. But, hey, it's just women; who cares about them!
Yes the general situation is horrendous -- and fully justifies Alister Jack invoking Section 35 of the Scottish devolution Act to challenge GRR legislation.
The UK government's case against GRR is very extensive and very detailed: as GRR (in addition to its more obvious iniquities) would disrupt IT systems and record-keeping in virtually every UK government department and at every level of government, making it also impossible to record or assess the results of the change. The UK judicial system (with direct effects on women) is already afflicted by police recording crime by "gender identity" and not by sex -- and institutional misogyny completes the picture.
A British barrister involved in drawing up Yogyakarta -- which set the trans pattern for erasure of women and institutional capture of governments downward -- has since apologised for its legal team having "forgotten" the existence of women and effects on women: predictably repeated in GRR legislation.

Whether Adam Graham / Isla Bryson is "faking" being trans or not (and all.male sex offenders have an incentive to do so as prisoners) really doesn't matter: because it's so damning either way.
If Graham / Bryson is "faking it", then it supports the argument that predatory male sex offenders will cross-dress to get access to what should be safe, female-only spaces. And because these men do not wear labels "I am a sex predator, beware" it demolishes the argument for allowing ANY male into such spaces: including trans-identified males with gender recognition certificates. They and we need third spaces.
Similarly, if Graham / Bryson is "genuinely" trans, as a double rapist he demonstrates that trans-identified males include rapists: so can even "genuinely" trans-identified male be considered safe in female-only spaces?
Sturgeon tries to minimise this by saying that "every group of people" include a "tiny minority" of sex offenders. But as a lawyer she is probably well aware of stats known to criminologists that trans-identified males include a higher proportion of sex offenders than males generally.
That's a really good point. It's like yerman Andrew Doyle was saying, either trans-identified men are inherently more predatory and dangerous than even the average man, or there are a lot of "cis" men lying about being trans to get into the female estate or to get certain privileges. One of those must be true.

Sex-Matters.org have completed their analysis of the 2021 Census. One briefly summarised Census finding is that trans-identified males are five times as likely to be imprisoned for sex offences than males generally.
This seems quite compatible with 50% of trans-identified male prisoners being convicted sex offenders (stats from ONS / Crime Survey for England & Wales) -- whatever their motives for claiming to be women.
It's almost like we should expect that men claiming to be women are very likely to be sex offenders too. And it explains why transactivists and their supporters try so strenuously to minimise or deny any link.
So now every ‘trans’ woman is going to be personally interviewed by Nicola, to determine whether or not they are ‘genuine’ and deserve one of her magical certificates of entrance to women’s places, or whether she with her demonically inspired perception can see that they are ‘faking’.

It's a miscalculation but then I'm not sure those like her and who are pushing this care. They know they have enough power in their power-sharing agreement that they seem to be under the impression they really can do whatever they like, run the country how they like, and they can't lose power. Don't underestimate them, Elizabeth. They will attack from a different direction. The UKG has refused to repeal the 2004 GRA, so that means that it has been a Pyrrhic victory. Men can still access female spaces, rights, services, etc. legally if they have a GRC, and they do so illegally because Stonewall tells braindead institutions and businesses that the law is with lies and subterfuge. We must get that 2004 GRA repealed or it continue to be used as a springboard for more and insaner reforms. It will never be enough to challenge individual MPs/MSPs. It has to be civil action and/or legal action.
We must push for all legislation to be subject to a women's plebiscite before it becomes law. Good Westminster has said no rapists in women;s prisons but they need to go further.
1. ALL men who are in women's prisons, regardless of what crime they have committed, need to be moved out to men's prisons' immediately.
2. Blanket ban going forward on all men convicted of any crime who "identify" a women being sent to a women's prison. Sex is the only criteria of *where* they go.
3. Then repeal GRR, repeal PC 9 Gender reassignment in EA 2010. Be utterly explicit on law and policies *must be based on* sex only not personal fantasy identities. Certain places should ALWAYS be single sex only (toilets, changing rooms, wards, prisons, refuges at the very least). Others if there is a legitimate reason to be so.
4. Complete ban on falsifying birth certs, death certs, marriage certs, driving licences, passports, NHS records and other *official* documents used for ID. So, no changing sex marker on any. Any which HAVE been changed, must be reverted back to correct sex for that person.
