Good news indeed. Women’s sports dearly need its women to down tools, and walk away. When no one competes except dudes and a few allies (who are happy to keep losing apparently) then it will show it for the farce it is. I’m proud of these women for standing up. Thank you! It’s truly sad that it’s come to this, but we knew it would.

Thank you as always JL.

Well done to all the women standing up and saying no. I was especially cheered by the fact that the audience applauded Lynne when she walked off.

And today both The Times and The Telegraph are reporting that "at least four clubs playing in a women’s football league in Yorkshire have pulled out of matches against a team that fielded a trans woman" - needless to say he is threatening to sue for discrimination!

Surely it's good if the transsexual male player sues- it'll expose the issue for the farce that it is. So-called inclusivity, could never trump theactual safety of players. The league should be sued for failure of duty of care towards the injured player!!

I'm in the United States, and the issues that arise in court might not be what you expect (I assume the legal issues are similar in England). Because gays won their rights on the basis of their identities, trans people are making legal strides because of their identities (in this case, "gender identity"). The difference between gays and trans people, of course, is that when a gay man says "I am attracted to my own sex", there is no evidence to the contrary, and no reason to disbelieve him. But when a trans woman says "I am a woman", there is a lot of evidence to the contrary (his body). But judges aren't seeing it that way. All they can see is that trans people are being discriminated against for how they FEEL, and that's a legal no-no now. That trans women have physical advantages over real women is a complication that the courts don't want to look at. If judges were smart, they would make their judgements based on reality, not on identity. So instead of comparing trans people to gay people, they would compare trans people to, say, old people claiming to be young, white people claiming to be black (or vice versa), or mentally disturbed people claiming to be Napoleon.

The CEO responsibility is to ensure that the charity’s mission statement reaches its target audience ie WOMEN , in language all ethnic females understand. These two narcissists are using endometriosis as a Trojan horse.

Yes. The Charity Commission website shows it is only a local charity, run by 6 Trustees, and has 5 volunteers. Income in 2021 was a bit over £3,000. income in 2022 was about £8,000. Is this genuuine... or just a front for TRA propaganda...?

Thanks JL! our moment of sun shine! Great to hear that about woman’s hour, i often have the radio on but missed that one. I will listen to it and enjoy a brief moment where the bbc seems to actually be ok. Although i think that sometimes the bbc allows this every so often so they can make the claim they are ‘balanced’ in this ‘debate’. Debate my arse, biological sex is not a debate. Its about as much a debate as whether the earth is flat. We shouldn’t have to pretend its a debate ffs. This whole culture has somehow managed to unlearn so many things and they call it ‘progressive’! Progressive my white male middle class arse! Ha ha. Woops off again, thanks JL, read you next week for some more anger/jubilation!

Jodie PhD student identifying herself as a “CIS” heterosexual. Captured much. But more importantly, I’ve just searched some academic papers on the subject and this is the defining statement. “Is a reproductive disorder in which endometrial tissue is located outside the uterus”. And “Endometrium is the inner epithelial layer of the mammalian uterus”. Had to check for my own sanity when this PhD student is telling us it is not a gynaecological problem. The question is who is funding this deranged woman’s PhD and who will peer review her papers? Who will publish them? Who will take her seriously? Who will correct the utter tosh that will be in them? Can anyone get their hands on a PhD these days? Where is the intellectual scrutiny? The very fact that all she hears when people make logical and reasoned arguments is “transphobia” and “hate” suggests to me that she is not a PhD candidate and that scientific research is beyond her capabilities. The nasty fingerprints of trans activists are everywhere. Thanks to Emma Barton for showing the absurdity of these two chancers.

The interview and the entire debacle is a farce, it must be a parody, but sadly not. Jodie, "cis (sic) heterosexual woman", behaves like a turkey looking forward to Christmas and the bloke she's taken on as CEO, like the manipulative liar he is. He was employed to make a point, allowing her to demonstrate the sincerity of her allyship and use of inclusive language, though clearly isn't bothered that she has a CEO who excludes the word 'woman'. Endometriosis is a condition that only affects women, regardless of what they call themselves. Trans men are not men in the same way that every woman isn't a man, as Jodie and her CEO very well know.

I laughed out loud when he was asked how he'd feel about a non trans person being the CEO of a trans charity. He sidestepped that and then told the truth when he referred to Nancy Kelley having been CEO of Stonewall. She isn't trans but Stonewall has effectively become a trans charity. I laughed again the when Emma asked him about his use of the word terf, and he attempted to suggest that it isn't intended only as a slur. Well, it certainly is when used by men like him. What a fucking joke.

As for Jodie and her PhD, I think her thesis is going to read like something of a joke too, especially if she isn't sure what kind of condition endometriosis is and who it affects. Not much evidence of academic rigour here, she should have gone for gender studies instead, where its absence is an advantage.

You're quite right when you say the "nasty fingerprints of trans activists are everywhere". Were they not, she wouldn't have described opposition to Richards' appointment in terms of hatred and transphobia. Case closed. She let herself off thinking about that by going straight to the abusive messages she has received. They are inexcusable, of course, but I hope Richards doesn't affect being too appalled, as a trans activist he's going to be aware of the charming messages and threats women receive from his fellow activists, even if not from a feminist like him.

Having done a very cursory search according to some papers it can affect some girls born without a uterus, who are still female funnily enough, and some men. From what I can understand this is because of the usually very small proportion of those born with developmental differences. To then claim as Steph and Jodie have is disingenuous word play when it's such small numbers and therefore so many women are being overlooked and made invisible. Emma Barnett's point that in effect if you say, look this issue affects men too (even 0.000001%) then that's not such a great selling point. So it affects men? Great! We can fund it now.

Really worrying is the link that seems to be with men taking hormones, or 'replacement' therapy aka cross-sex hormones and the link with endo in men. Add that to the growing pile of unintended but obvious consequences of playing with your hormones with or without medical or quack supervision. So add that to what 'detransitioners' face.

If I’ve got the right charity, it looks really small and doesn’t appear to have much in the way of paid employees (https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/5148760/charity-overview - I also looked on their website) so I would’ve thought that at least he doesn’t get much financial compensation for the job. What he does get in spades, however, is a major sense of validation and no doubt he also finds it all rather bonerific.

I don’t like to imagine too much about what he is getting out of this but I can’t help pondering WHY he is “passionate about endometriosis”. Weird. Just weird.

A lot of them are absolutely obsessed with women's physical experiences, often to the point of fetishism. Look up 'trans menstruation' or take a look at this link https://periodaisle.com/blogs/all/6-transgender-women-talk-menstruation

Reddit has plenty of perverts recounting how they steal and wear used sanitary pads - yet another reason we don't want them in female toilets.

The whole godamm thing is a fetish and we are being forced to participate in it. It's sexual abuse. Someone is going to cotton on to this and there will be law suits against these abusers.

Yep, exactly this (being obsessed with women’s physical experiences). Why on earth we’re expected to validate these creepy fetishes I’ll never understand, and I’ll never understand the women who DO go along with it! Like, for example, the women who’ve let men “breastfeed” their babies! You’ve go to have something seriously wrong with you to allow that to happen.

One of the blokes even admitted he got off on it.

The very worrying thing is that these men pass themselves off as professionals, they do get places on boards and to 'advise' organisations, like Medical Royal Colleges, they are invited to Parliament and people do take them seriously.

They are all weird Susan. Every single last one of them. Weird, weird weird.

He isn't passionate about endometriosis, he's passionate about himself, and overjoyed that he's able to take full advantage of the freedom to supplant women the trans cult have been given. He might fetishise female reproductive biological apparatus and function, but he doesn't care about women or how women are affected by men like him. I'm sure he loves the idea that he can affect women, however.

He was able to take a position that should have been filled by a woman. His appointment is getting a lot of attention, something he's likely to be luxuriating in. Women have reacted angrily to it, but he still has it, and he can rely on plenty of people, including some women, rushing to cast him as the victim of bigotry and hatred. Then he'll be cheered on for being brave and groundbreaking. Yeah, a man getting things his way, truly groundbreaking.

Although I expect he is a pervert etc, it seems to me this is about propaganda. He is 70 year old retiree. The Charity is small local, income 2021 about £3k, 2022 about £8K- not enough to pay him. 6 Trustees run it, and they have 5 volunteers (-who might even be the Trustees LOL). The point is, with that job title, he can now try comment on Womens Health issues to the media, politicians etc- and he is already on BBC Radio 4- don't care if they are criticised coz that bolsters their 'oh poor me' victim narrative. This whole thing is TRA propaganda!

Expand full comment

Have you heard the interview on Woman's Hour? It has a real thick dollop of local things for local people about it - apparently the criticisms are from 'abroad' so add xenophobia to this bunch. I have no idea why people with opinions from 'abroad' would be dismissed. I assume they mean people from the Isle of Wight... or perhaps Southampton :-)

This seems another case of someone not particularly skilled, qualified or experienced stumbling into a role, suddenly being senior with a high profile, then still thinking they can bluff their way through. With their 'passion' which apparently is enough. Thinking that doing something for two or three years is a long time and they are 'established'. It's a particular theme within EDI and charities in this area for some reason. Maybe because their degrees are all fluff and the industry is based on that.

Yes, and you would think there were some rules about this and that the Charity Commission might think bringing the word 'charity' into disrepute isn't such a great thing. Philanthropy can be a great force for good and this is not it. This lot are diluting the space and taking away from other charities. All the publicity and attention this bunch of pals have got has done actual damage and they are and will still play the victims. It appears to be purely to stroke their egos as 'people who do good'. I am legitimately furious when the public is distracted and misled as the fallout and lack of services affects the very people this bunch and others claim to help. There have been some very high-profile 'charity' failures and too many are exposed as little fiefdoms to target and harass others. Trying to get other legitimate charities shut down, with dodgy if not criminal people on their boards, run by zealots and those feathering their own nests.

I wonder what their income forecasts are for the next few years? Where are they getting funding from? What are they delivering? To whom? That man 'Steph' has his fingers in a few pies which is typical for these activists. How can he live on that? And he is being listened to, he does have and is being given the platforms. He was on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour FFS! I am glad he was as it exposes them yet again but it takes focus from genuine public information - what did any of us learn about endometriosis in that slot? No, we learnt yet again how trans activists are self-obsessed narcissists who cuckoo through our civil society. Other charities would give their right arm to have that exposure. I am sick of having to fight against disinformation - particularly within healthcare. And for women! All this 'cis' shite is yet again centring 'trans-identifiers'.

Expand full comment

Yes, I had a look at that page. Income 2022, about £8,300... not enough to pay even a part-timer... 6 Trustees run it, and have 5 volunteers... this is not a *real* organization. It seems to be a front, an excuse to give that guy a job-title, which would allow him to make public comments (using a female-sounding name) on Women's Health issues. This is for Propaganda, getting into the media- and it worked, coz they're on Radio 4 already, pushing their trans victim narraative...

Thank you JL! What a delight. This is all a bit hard to take in. The Emma Barnett interview was astonishing. I will have to listen again - she ran rings around those people. That the man 'Steph' walked straight into her obvious logic trap to name the head of a trans organisation that isn't trans so he witters that 'Nancy Keely' was the head of Stonewall. Oops. He said it out loud. Stonewall has clearly focused on and attracted men like him to the exclusion of everyone else and who they formerly represented. She then has to point out the rather obvious point that it isn't a trans charity - thus revealing what we all know - the LGB has been entirely swallowed by the T. It's hard to listen to thick people who self-declare as 'activist' anything but another victory for Operation Let Them Speak. He is collecting hobbies like a train spotter - his 'interest' in endo is because he is a self-styled 'human rights activist'. Ooh, which human rights abuse will he look up in his big red book next. They cling to that odd point they think is a gotcha - sure have a competent woman leading a men's charity or a competent man leading a women's charity, but this isn't either of those is it, it's a man who believes himself to be a woman but isn't. And it all leads back to him having a chat over a coffee with the woman who set the charity up who is into genderology.

And no, not everyone in Portsmouth agrees with this. I cannot believe the stupidity of these bubble people. But, but everyone we know and speak to really likes us, that's the level of intelligence here, and everyone who disagrees with that woman is 'from abroad' (?) or she includes the everyone welcome category of 'transphobe'. Are these the village idiots? Why are we letting people 'study' for these 'courses'. Creating and letting them do PhDs? So they can become 'Professors' then inculcate other substandard minds to ride the lobby hobby horse. We've weakened the meaning of education and churning out these certificates in an ideology. Their only use is to become lecturers and EDI consultants to badly 'advise' charities and medical bodies. And try to change the law. Many people seem to do these courses to address their own identity and mental health issues, but it is not contributing to the fount of human knowledge.

‘Sex and Gender: A Contemporary Reader’ - actual women - actual proper academics - actually intelligent people. I salute you all and all those above standing up for your and our rights! :-)
