Please share this post with as many people as you can After the disgraceful scenes yesterday which included MSPs voting down an amendment that would have prevented convicted sexual offenders from obtaining a GRC, my colleague JL and I thought it might be useful to reshare her continually updated list of predatory men using a trans identity to commit offences. The next time this happens in Scotland, blame Nicola Sturgeon.
My local msp, I know her personally & supported her over the years, has voted for sexual predators to self-id & boy will she know about it when I next see her! To say I am RAGING is an understatement 😤
I've put this on the FB page of Mhairi Black, a woman I once had so much respect for, but whom I now loathe, for she has fought hard to remove ALL the rights and single sex spaces of women and girls in Scotland. ALL who have done this must be held accountable when the crimes against women and girls start to happen. And to think Sturgeon and Black have both declared they stand for an end to VAWG when they've just unleashed one of the biggest VAWG crimes of my lifetime, in my view. SEETHINGLY ANGRY!

Horrific. Simply horrific. But, Dana Rivers, the trans-identifying male who was just convicted of brutally murdering a lesbian couple and their teenage son in Oakland, CA, is not on the list. Nor was Darren Merager, the Los Angeles Wi Spa flasher suspect who had "female" listed on his driver's license, must have at least suggested he was female upon entering Wi Spa, but, during a recent interview, said that he knew that he was a man.
Before the Wi Spa incident, Merager had already been convicted of exposing his male genitalia in other inappropriate venues.
Perhaps Rivers is not on the list because his 1st degree murder convictions were so recent? And, perhaps Merager is not on the list because both his previous convictions were associated with penile exposure/ public indecency AND his current Wi Spa charges are not nearly so heinous as the crimes of some of the other men on this list?
so in scotland with the bill passing we can look forwards to a massive state led grooming program aimed at educating 14-15 year olds about whether they want to change their sex in preparation for their 16th birthday. I think i might have to go and live in a cave.
On topic - I came across this article this morning, I now more or less ignore The Guardian but up until the last few sentences this is actually fairly neutrally written (well, no, it still centres how trans community feels over that other lot... what they called... you know those people with eggs and ovaries etc...)
BUT... For the GUARDIAN... perhaps an improvement, and a sign that women's rights groups might be having an impact big enough that media can no longer dismiss them as some sort of fringe movement.
