In 2020 a mother wrote a letter of serious complaint to the Charity Commission about Mermaids. Two years later and the world is waking up to her concerns.
All this in plain sight. Parents' concerns ignored. Safeguarding non-existent. It's blatant - that is part of the thrill of 'gender euphoria'. It is exciting to them to be able do this in plain sight. They get off on it. What a thrill to have celebrities lining up to commend you, to know that schools and politicians and the police won't touch you. To know that children are binding their breasts behind parents' backs. This shows the sheer power of dangerous gender ideology and the vile grip it has had. But there's been a shift. Public opinion is changing and stories like this will help ensure that people are held to account. There must be very many worried people at Mermaids. Early days, but the 'game' is over.
This is shocking, i’m currently trying to get our school to remove references to mermaids and stonewall on our school website.
I urge all parents to research whether their schools have any affiliation with these groups. Our children trust their schools and will therefore trust any organisation they promote.

Child protection 101 is that you never, ever, keep secrets. This situation is so grotesque that it seems to be a fabrication. Which is how it all keeps going. ‘Tell a lie big enough’ and all that.
The only 'safeguarding' Mermaids has been practising is in their repeated attempts to cover their own asses. And, they've even blown that, haha. They have zero regard for the safety of children.

How something so utterly appalling can carry on so blatantly is both a shock and not a surprise -a shock because we are meant to be better than this and not a surprise because the majority have sleepwalked into this with their eyes full of the magic trans sparkle dust while being extorted to "be kind". What a tangled-web we weave. I do hope that members of Mermaids face prosecution. They deserve it.
According to the TRAs, it seems that there are far more abusive parents out there than we ever realised. Parents who maliciously refuse to give in to their children's every whim. Parents so evil they want to maximise the choices of their children as they grow into adults. Parents whose ignorance makes them unable to see that they have nothing to add to their childrens' upbringing than money and doing the laundry. TRAs are, of course, quite wrong.

There has to be prosecutions. It's not enough to take away Mermaid's charitable status; this is child abuse.
