"I am aware that this caused some of my supporters to panic and wonder how on Earth I was going to talk my way out of this one."
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
We're all wondering, still. Last pathetically dishonest tweet of assuagement didn't quite hoist Stonewall up from the deep pile of steaming doo doo in which they are so stinkingly mired.
p.s. I want my twitter account back. Managed to appeal my way back out of one permanent suspension, but am now right back under another.
Thanks to Graham and friends for the wonderful (and creepy) article. Now I'll need to go to Twitter to read the Friday tweet. Yikes! And I can't stand Twitter. But it will be worth it!
Hey, thanks, Mole at the Counter. I love your name, though I have no idea what it means -- is it Mole, as in Mole, Toad, Rat, and Badger? And the counter, I'm lost on that one. No need to reply, I'm just being nosy. Best wishes!
Oh no, that's a humdinger. Makes me feel sorry for real moles (the garden kind) though... anyhow, to each their own. I still admire your input to the Glinner article.
Well, well, what do we have here? Right here in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child!
"... the family, as the fundamental group of society and the natural environment for the growth and well-being of all its members and particularly children ..."
The saddest fact is that so many families aren't worthy of the children they bring into the world either, no more than TQ woke daycare and schools are worthy of children. A truly loving family supported by a strong, open-minded community (but not open-minded to gender-ideology and other similar malarkey) that really cares for its members, that's my dream for a better world. So far we don't live in that world, and children will always pay the highest price for that.
You're so right. But usually the family is the best place for the child unless circumstances call for removal. A family's guidance trumps daycare of school guidance in these institutionally captured days.
I agree with you about that. I think the best place for any child is a loving family first and foremost. It's only natural for a child to live with their parents and siblings and if they're lucky, an extended family (actually, extended family is the most natural arrangement in my opinion, not the nuclear family). I only worry about the children who are at risk in some families and it's not discovered by social services often till it's too late as far as the child being abused already. Being an old-time radical feminist, I'm pretty wary of the institution of the "family" and especially the concept of "family secrets." The negative aspects of family life are a result of certain adult males over the centuries usurping the main power in the family structure. Of course, this is my opinion too. Sorry for sounding pedantic (if that's how I sound)!
Ooo! Brilliantly wicked!
You're a horrible man, Graham Linehan.
Carry on!
This is why Graham Linehan's shows are the best comedies ever written. Absolutely brilliant!
I just shared a link to this in my 2nd QT of Stonewall's 'clarification tweet'.
Brilliant parody. Pity it's true and not just a fairy story. Well done 👍👏❤️
“Child catcher” could replace groomer since LGBTQ crew banned it
Perhaps more TQ. Where are the LGB? Nowhere, if they aren't repeating the mantras and following the orthodoxy.
This is the great subversive power of comedy and parody . . . we need more of this!
Superbly funny but scarily true
You two are on fire x
Us three!
'Them two' really! I just moved a few pixels around a bit!
So to speak!
You Three are on fire xxx sorry x
😬 🙂

How can I love AND hate the need for such a brilliant bit of writing so much at the same time?

Hello! Well, look it up on the Urban Dictionary! And I will tell you anyway!
It is a name I chose for on-line stuff in my old 'football days'. (20 years go plus I think now... *gasps*)
A friend called me and told me about this euphemism and I just howled... and I used it and I still do! Odd, I know, but distinctive.. for sure!
Oh no, that's a humdinger. Makes me feel sorry for real moles (the garden kind) though... anyhow, to each their own. I still admire your input to the Glinner article.
ha! Thanks for persevering!!
Free rein. Sorry. ☺️😆
Are you denying the childcatcher's royal connections there?

The FAMILY! Not the daycare. Not the school!

You in no way sound pedantic. You sound eminently wise and thoughtful and I agree with you.
First catch them, then mutilate them!
Ugh, it's so horrible. Thank god for this site where people can speak freely. Thanks Moley and GL.
Priceless!
Turkish Delight has been the downfall of many a poor child.
