Everyone Barry (EDI Jester) has a Patreon. I know times are tough but it's so important for us to support the bravery of people like Graham and Barry if we can.
He did a YouTube a couple of weeks ago at the start of the Mermaids v LGBA law case. He was laughing so much he couldn't talk. It was totally infectious.
His spots on The Queen's Speech with Clive and Dennis are as worthy of viewing as The Mess too
I met Barry Wall on Twitter. He is an expert on EDI in the Higher Education sector. He is very knowledgeable, "light on his feet" and amusing. I really enjoyed our DMs on Twitter.
"Equality, Diversity and Inclusion" is a large and growing sector in Human Resources depts, offering employment to green-haired, pierced and tattooed young Social Justice Warriors ("SJW") who want to pursue an "anti-discrimination" career. They are the junior priests spreading and enforcing Stonewall's faulty interpretation of the Equality Act 2010 of substituting GI for sex. Please read Suella Braverman QC's speech to the Policy Exchange think tank on 10th August. Her legal analysis pin points the problems with enforcing competing rights. The Conservative Gov really should sweep out Human Rights law and start again. But politically this is difficult because the UK has signed up to various international conventions. It is a knotty problem. Chanting "Transwomen are women" is mindless but so much easier.
The UK was also key to laying down many of these laws and international conventions in the first place, so not only had a seat at the table, but had a key role in the field. There was some discontent with legal types when human rights laws were added to and tweaked and it became more disputed and confused. It was viewed as an 'EU' or Brussels thing when it wasn't (connected but different and in addition to) and when UK lawyers had been working together and internationally to find agreement for many decades. I know a few who disliked Tony Blair's government for introducing new laws or confusing the picture away from the rule of law or specific rights we already and always had. The politicisation and separation of arms of state, or non-state functions. I'm speaking without any political affiliation in this context, but pushing political aspirations through laws can be risky.
I am genuinely not sure that this current iteration of the present jumbled government should be widely sweeping away anything as they have a habit of poorly drafting and rushing wide-ranging protocols that have apparently unseen consequences (to them but not everyone else) then they dig down when faced with those. They've been setting judges against politicians in a polarising some 'will of the people' way which is obscuring what rights and obligations are (and why we have them).
He's so engaging and down-to-earth. Surely this will appeal to people who don't get what the hell is going on! As I don't (not fully, anyway!) so often!!
He's good. I like him. I did my English Degree from 1983-1986. Queer Theory was just about to hit. I just missed it. When I did my MA a few years ago at the UEA....over 30 years later, I asked a lecturer should I study Queer Theory in a tutorial. There was silence. He didn't say that I ought to study it. That was interesting, I thought. Queer Theory is a theory... a construct.. that is all it is and it is extremely dangerous. And the link to the far-right is true. Disruption...absolutely. Authoritarian....
Yes, all these children who think they are so wokey are actually tools of the state doing the state's work to promote misogyny and homophobia. I don't know which is more depressing -- the state being behind this junk ideology or the children shoving it down others' throats -- but I think the children depress me more.
Barry is a force of nature and a most engaging and appealing speaker. He also has the most infectious giggle-chuckle on YouTube. And he knows his stuff. A breath of fresh air, an incisive voice of flawless reason, and a genuine good egg all round, it would appear. We need more of his kind to act as a bulwark against this pernicious gender claptrap and its cultists.

Yes! Thank you so much for platforming this remarkable man. His message is always delivered with maximum clarity. What a profound new voice.

Oh! What is EDI then? I hadn't realised it was an acronym
Equality, Diversity and.... *breaths*.... Inclusion.
Also written as 'DEI' and sometimes... 'DIE'
If only it would DIE.
*palmface
Of course! I should have worked that out really.
God I hate accronyms
So do I.
We should stop using them... ASAP.
LOL.
And he's the Jester because a Jester pokes fun at authority.

Don’t miss his “ Letter to Gay Men.” It seems to be gathering a greater audience. I think he is making in roads on new ground.

A very important video. I have sent it on to my 2 adult children, one of whom is already a new parent, and a teacher.
Yeah ,watched that on YouTube. He was great. Queer Theory IS the destruction of childhood in every way possible. Well done to him 👍👏❤️
