Jesus, they really are humourless obsessives.
He doesn't seem to understand the difference between standing up at city chambers surrounded by (mostly) strangers and speaking your viewpoint expecting others to have the right to reply (which is supposed to be Twitter though it looks more like men with megaphones screaming over the top of women in reality) and asking to join a private group.
The expectation on Twitter is that everyone can reply to you. That's why you tweet. It's not really that tough a concept. You can certainly refuse right of reply, if you want to take away your relevance and show you're a spineless fuckwit.
But then again, since WARTs have no understanding at all of boundaries, or respect for anyone's right to say No to them, it's unsurprising he struggles with the notion of not being invited, wanted or relevant.
