Who needs a gun when you have Owen Jones?
It's celebrity, not weaponry, that empowers today's incels
There are many things you could call blokes like ‘Anna Marie’ here, but I like to keep it simple and go with ‘incel’. If idly accusing lesbians of being bigots for not wanting to sleep with you is not the behaviour of the entitled, straight, white, unfuckable male, then what is?
Issuing demands while inexpertly painting your nails is a sublime piece of passive-aggressive comedy—but make no mistake, this is a threat. “Play along or face the consequences.” That’s the message women are receiving loud and clear, not just from incels like ‘Anna Marie’ who have co-opted and corrupted trans rights, but from the celebrities who empower them and enable their abuse.
And just in case you think this guy is an outlier, here are many more examples of homophobic, rapey rhetoric delivered by sometimes very influential people.
This is why lesbians have been protesting at Pride marches, and why more and more gay men are speaking up. It’s why Stonewall is suddenly distrusted by so many, including some of its founders. Morgan Page, host of the infamous ‘Cotton Ceiling Workshop’, that covered the problem of women having ‘barriers’ and spoke of ‘strategising ways to overcome them”, is still on Stonewall’s website.
But many of you know all this. I bring it up again because of this point made by Doctor Jane to Owen Jones.
As someone replies “The same people cheering hashtags like ‘#punchaterf’ are now saying ‘omg where did this misogyny come from isn’t it awful?’
Shootings like the tragedy in Plymouth are thankfully rare in this country because of stringent gun laws. But today’s incels are less inclined to draw the kind of attention that comes with gunfire. They no longer even need to carry out the rough stuff themselves. When Owen Jones or David Paisley targets a woman like Suzanne Moore or Marion Millar, it reminds other women to keep their mouths shut. Who needs a gun to terrorize women when you have fanatics like Jones working in your corner?
You may remember this devastating interview with Jenny Kimmel, a woman who experienced appalling treatment at the hands of her ex-husband, a cross-dressing, trans-identified male. Here it is again, but be warned, it’s very upsetting.
Jenny was kept isolated by her husband and, with three children to look after, felt she had no choice but to acquiesce to his demands, which were informed by violent pornography. When she refused to take part…
“…he just wouldn't speak to me at all. He wouldn't take me shopping, he wouldn't heat the house, unless I acquiesced and participated. And I three little kids to look after, you know, and, and the pressure would be so heavy that I would finally give up and give in and say right okay, you know, I'll act this out with you tonight, but then it just became, it was more and more… and then it was every night, you know, and then I would try to stay in the room, put the kids to bed, read to them for hours and try to stay there. I would have to go to the bathroom and I would think, Oh, he's got to have given up by now, but he was always out there waiting.
So, the pornography got more and more disturbing, he would always want me to look at it too, so that I could see what I was supposed to act out and what I was supposed to do.
The thing he liked was women unconscious being, you know, woken up from sleep and frightened and raped, or just unconscious…but this was his favorite and then he, I would have to pretend that I was doing that to him. Then he would switch it around for the finale and do it to me even though I didn't want it and told him that but he just ignored me.
And one thing that bothers me. Still one of the most disturbing things that happened was…he had a network of people like himself that he talked to on the computer. He showed me some kind of footage one night where a woman was unconscious and she was being dragged by one leg through the snow.
And at one point. While she was being dragged, her head bumped on something. And I thought, is this woman actually dead? Just, a feeling came over me that this woman wasn't alive. And I said to him ” Is that woman dead?” and he said, “I don't know I don't care. It doesn't matter” like it was nothing. But I just lost it that night, I had a big meltdown. He stopped for a while after that but I never stopped worrying about that woman or wondering what I could do or if I was implicated and that still bothers me.”
Ireland’s answer to David Paisley is a failed comedian by the name of Aiden Comerford. The Irish Times published a letter by Jenny under her married name and Aiden and his mates were all over it, including his fellow misogynist, David O’Doherty.
It takes enormous bravery for women like Jenny to tell her story, and not just because her husband is still out there. She knows that men like Comerford and O’Doherty are out there too, it being a fact of life that no matter how much Ireland changes, Irish men will always try to suppress the stories of abused women. After Comerford’s tweet, she suffered a fresh influx of death threats.
Jones, Paisley and Comerford are simply the most fanatical and proactive of the blue-ticked enablers. There are also the celebrities who twist their necks looking the other way as those witchfinders go about their business. Many of my former friends fall into this category. They know what’s happening. I know that they know. But they’re “working in the background”, or they “just can’t say anything right now”. There are a few people who would make an enormous impact if they spoke up. But they don’t. They stay silent as men like ‘Anna Marie’ paint their nails and make their threats.
Today’s incels don’t need guns. Apply some make-up, call yourself ‘Anna Marie’ and wait for blue-ticked fanatics with large followings on Twitter to hurry to your aid, even when you visit the most appalling abuse on vulnerable women. If you’re an incel, this is your time.
Does anybody really care anymore if they're called " transphobic " or a " terf ? " I certainly don't. Trans Ideology is pure fantasy ,and only the tiniest minority of people suffer from genuine gender dysphoria and I sympathise with them.. Unfortunately for them ,their cause us been hijacked by every predatory ,misogynistic male on the planet ,including fetishists , paraphiliacs, murderers and some of the very worst examples of humanity. So if not being willing to say " transwomen are Women ,transmen are men " etc makes you transphobic ,then " guilty as charged " applies to me and the vast majority of the population ,who refuse to believe or repeat these huge lies !!
On the surface the male painting his nails seems very reasonable. Until you realise that the painting of the nails is an aggressive act. The message that woman is performative, a costume, an indenture that you can dip in and out of at will. Women in Afghanistan will no longer be able to paint their nails under Taliban rule. Does this make them any less female? Can they opt out of their sex which is what oppresses them, denies and subjugates them. I’m so over this trans bullshit when real oppression is happening to real women.
