She was on our show, where she feels safe to speak, and I could not be more proud of that fact. Rosie gave us almost thirty minutes and was, as one viewer put it, “relaxed, easy, personable and articulate.” When you compare this to the car crash interview with Lammy that Helen references, it’s not even close.
Why doesn’t she feel safe at the Labour Party Conference? Because her party includes openly misogynistic members who were thankfully drowned out by the appreciation from others during this cheering show of bravery from delegate Bronwen Davies. Watch it again. They don’t even have the grace to let her finish properly.
When Labour politicians blather about the “toxicity of the debate” as if it’s a nebulous problem that can’t be solved, how about starting with that rude woman on the microphone? How about letting women who have served the party for decades reach the end of a sentence?
Rosie, thank you again for trusting us and coming on the show, it was a delight.
Such a great Mess. Well done Rosie, well done everyone
Thank-you for doing this, and thanks so much to Rosie for her integrity and bravery, both in coming on and for continuing to speak out on this issue. Would that the Labour leadership had half her courage.
