Graham -

You should, and in my view you must, take some credit for being one of the 'first through the door' in this scrap of a lifetime, at least one of the first males to do so.

I will not leave out any women who have done even more sterling work, of course - I mean, look at our friends Marion, Susan and Trina and what they have campaigned for and now achieved with their incessant and noble fight over the years, culminating in today's SC verdict. We must mention Sex Matters, the WRN Groups nationwide, Stock, Staniland, Hilton, Swansea Resisters, Pheonix... - too many to list now.

Many wonderful women. And the odd bloke! (That's where you come in!)

Today IS all about them, but also about so many others. So many 'ordinary', working class women.

Who.

Would.

Not.

Wheesht.

I am in awe of them all.

Woohoo! This is such a logical, sensible, fair outcome that, in today’s world, I was completely nervous it would be too much to hope for.

Thank you to FWS for their incredible tenacity and strength.

And thank you to you Graham for never caving in and for helping to rally an army of gender critical people who found each other through you. Your voice and activism kept reminding me that I was not alone. Thank you 🙏

I'm happy but I just want to punch the people who started this entire diabolical movement and put so many good people through absolute hell. I want them to PAY for their monstrous psychopathic and sociopathic behaviour. I lost a beloved friend to the trans cult. I will never get her back. She saved my life and I'll never be able to thank her.

What a day! It is a shame it ever came to this, but congrats to you, Graham and all the women, too many to name here, who have labored over this for the last 10 years or so. It has been a wild ride and we are not done yet, but it is so good to see the tide finally turning and sanity being restored. Cheers from an American TERF!

What a brilliant day. Many thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen and that includes Graham, JL and Moley at the top of the comments who keeps us all laughing in the face of despair.

So glad about this ruling. A great step towards sanity thanks to the tenacity and hard work of some amazing people. I'm utterly relieved. However I don't understand what will change in reality. The ruling says that organisations are now legally allowed to exclude men from women's spaces if they want to. But they are not forced to do so are they (unless it's a workplace)? Therefore many woke organisations won't change a thing. Moreover, this ruling specifically relates to men with a GRC and whether they should be treated as women in law but most institutions were already letting men into women's spaces even without a GRC. The point I'm trying to make is that organisations were already going well beyond any sane requirement in terms of inclusion so I'm genuinely not sure how the ruling will help change those organisations who are captured by this ideology unless a new law is brought in to force everyone in society to exclude men from women's spaces. The ruling also states the exclusion should only happen where it's "proportional". This is completely subjective so again easy to override. Don't mean to sound negative but there is simply no necessity to comply. It's a great step in the right direction but there will be so much work to do still to actually see real change.

Remember that this may not immediately change the obligation to provide same-sex spaces and facilities, but it at least makes it legally defensible to do so. The TRAs don’t just want some places to give them access to women’s private spaces, they want it to be impossible, everywhere, to keep them out. They want it to be illegal to have lesbian-only groups, and female-only restrooms, and homeless shelters for women. Now they can’t demand access by law. It’s up to private and public institutions now to make decisions about what they will provide for women, and up to women to vote with their feet.

Yes you are right. And of course with those MPs who just want to look good it will give some influence. I think j just feel deflated that it actually took the Supreme Court to rule on common sense. The GRA is a farcical piece of legislation and must surely now be changed. Yes it is a big step in the right direction and the mood on this will change slowly but surely and of course this is no dampener on those exceptional people that made it happen.

Amazing! I wonder if this means that all the people who have been cancelled and destroyed will get their lives back. For some perhaps, but not all. Some people, like Graham, and quite a few more, have had their lives destroyed forever by this movement. All those institutions and especially those in a position of power should hang their heads in shame at the destruction of people because of a relentless campaign against truth from a very small but very loud minority. Well done to the women who widnae wheesht and all those who supported them. The truth wins at last.

And onward, to Australia, the US, Europe, Scandinavia and the rest of the universe! Interesting how women "went up in space" and no one complained that it "wasn't inclusive." I expect, in the reactions already, from K Montgomery, I Willoughby and all those, to be chastised for thinking about celebrating a true women's victory. Can we send them on a one-way trip into space?

Thank goodness there is sense at last in what has become a collective madness. And all credit to Graham for steadfastly supporting women and girls, often at great cost to himself.
